- The NeoRuler by Hozo Design is the best digital caliper I've ever had. It's technically an add-on to the NeoRuler but as a caliper, I think it's second to none. It's the caliper I use on my channel lately to accurately measure the gear I review.

So its more expensive than a mitutoyo while being a fraction as precise? Genuinely trying to understand the use case for this tool.
Well that depends on which Mitutoyo you get correct? I’ve seen some way more expensive.
Plus this does a hell of a lot more. It’s not just a caliper. Or did you not make it that far yet video?
@@ChrispyThings Maybe this is due to my engineering background bias. Even then just the attachment for the caliper being at $50 seems overpriced given the functionality. And that would be disregarding the main tool itself.
Correct. It’s definitely private if you’re just using it as a caliper. But that’s sort of a secondary function of this smart ruler. It does so much more. I just don’t use those other cool functions unfortunately
When the caliper is on , can you still use the ruler as intended , or does it lift it off the surface , just wondering if this is the case is it a mess about to take off and on thanks

Да, штангенциркуль это лишь дополнительная функция, но это то, чем я пользуюсь руками, а всё остальное я делаю в программах.
Возможно конечно, если бы у меня была такая, то начал бы опять чертить вручную 😂))
Absolutely love the content. I was always wondering why you had an obnoxious set of calipers. Overkill for the channel unless you use it for other things obviously
Nope. I only use it for measuring gear.
That’s it.
But that’s not to say that I won’t use the other functions in the future. There’s always that option

@@ChrispyThings honestly you either neer a Harbor freight caliper or a Mitutoyo, I can't think of an application where you could use this caliper. I don't think you will ever see this instrument used in a manufacturing environment including an inspection lab. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm willing to learn.
It does a lot, but I only use it for the caliper functionality.
I have a lot of other calipers but will probably only use this tool from now on
