I’ve been working on Hondas professionally for 24 years. The best way I’ve found to secure these gaskets is to use red spray gasket on the pan, stick the gasket to the pan, then use spray gasket on top of the gasket. This will lock the gasket in place and won’t make a mess. Keeps the gasket from squeezing out when you tighten the pan bolts/nuts. On pans with a u bend I don’t use spray gasket on the bend but use honda bond on both sides of the gasket there. I still use spray gasket on all the other sections of the pan to lock it in. It works really well.
I bought this gasket recently as well, my gasket has a small leak too so it's nice that felpro redesigned the gasket with the metal reinforcement. Can't wait to get it installed and I have that moroso pan as well.
Right on brotha , I still wanna link up and see if I can use some hunter tuned parts on my build as I have look into it and I can utalise d16 parts aswell lol ..peace and love bro keep it rad stay safe and build on
On my boss's eg civic we installed this same exact moroso pan and couldn't figure out why it kept leaking oil. It would literally drip on the floor after filling it up. I started looking with an inspection mirror and found that the edge of the pan wasn't fully welded and had a pinhole lol. Pretty strange
Nice gaskets them felpro! Hunter can I ask, years ago there was a short phase you went thru where you were getting a lot of spun bearings etc. Did you ever figure out the cause? Thanks
That is sad britha , cuz they use to be the ones to compare all others to at one point ... sadly everything has gone down on quality now days but that also has opened the window for small ppl that thrive for perfection to make something superior and could make a name for themselves .. I mean look at hunter he has his name on bunch parts and he actually cares and inspect is stuff and would not even get them till he tested an found the stuff he liked ... but not to ramble my brotha lol just had ti chime on cuz I have seen this with alotta top quality parts now days .. like felpro tbh I usta use them 10 year ago on v8 builds and they were the go to but past 3-5byears all the ones I use leak or bust out straight crap and it's sad cuz they were the top of gaskets , but this new one looks better than there old stuff so hopefully it holds ..peace and love bro
a little dab'll do ya
"Brylcreem a little dab'll do ya, for watch out the Gals will all persuit ya"
"Get Brylcreem today" ! geez...😊
Hi huntertuned, Thnk uou for this video.
I was just doing this Felpro oil pan mod. I love your informative, fun Channel. ❤
Got to love the quality of a brand new moroso oil pan
Can wait to see it back
Myhondahabbit gaskets are premium products and havent had an issue
I’ve always used hondabond on both sides of gasket never ever had a leak. Maybe it’s overkill but that’s how I do it
just use the hondabond itself at that point.
@@ClumsyCars 🤣 I laughed out loud for real lol

Just put a low milage b20z in my 1st gen crv. The engine had fresh gaskets and the pan already leaks lol. Im excited to watch this video!!
Hell yea. Keeping the gen 1 alive! 🤟🤟🇬🇧
The felpro gaskets are far from new. Have one on my b18c1 from 5 years ago.
Happy you sharing about them tho. Great gasket to use.
Did it ever leak?
Nope. Great gasket. Worth the buy

122nd from the baby is due UK.
i remember going through 3 new oem gaskets... never fixed the leak but that felpro did the job! i believe sp tuning showed me years back.
If you know how to do the oil pan gasket right it wont leak mine never do
I had to fix a hole from there weld. Looked on the other side and it was also patched. You can see the weld from the out side.

Another great video
Man you always find them deals, great videos
Rember to tighten those npt plugs for sensors, most times they come new loose. At least for me they did.
Can you provide a part number for that gasket kit?
My sheepey turbo manifold is a TURD. Wish I never bought. Some expensive parts are poor quality
What's the part number?

That pan is trash man 😂
It's sad, but that's been moroso 5-7 years now

18 inch pounds
Yo, that Moroso pan is very disappointing. I'm super surprised! Has to be outsourced in China. yay.
Or it was made during the covid bullshit. All quality tanked at that time.
First!
FAILPRO
Moroso pans are janky
