I just finished playing the remastered version of AC5 on the PS4, looks like at least half of your wish came true, luckily for me I've already played AC Zero on the PS2, good times, excellent stories, I cried a little in both games

I think my favorite part of this trailer was how it didn’t specify whether or not Solo Wing Pixy was the name of the protagonist.
That further adds to the original WTFs from first playthroughs.

I love how 5 set this game up. It went from being rookie trainees on a tropical island paradise against easy Yuktobanian planes, to being hardened professional mercenaries flying in the grey, frozen wasteland of the former Belka against (based on the backstory from 5) the most fearsome air force on the planet, who had been eager to invade its neighbors since ancient times, and who were willing to nuke their own people to halt a counter-offensive and basically cut themselves off from the rest of the world in what was left of their frozen, radioactive territory.
This shit was hardcore.

AC Infiniti is the remedy
PCSX2 has vr support, I've played Ace Combat Zero on a flight stick in vr with better aliasing. It is heaven, just a pain in the ass to get the vr headset gyro to be recognized as a thumbstick- it can be done though!

Gold times, I remember the first time I beat this game... and was like " I need to play this shit AGAIN !!!!! "
I played again and again countless times, and I had so much fun and every single one of them, Today I still play on my PC with a emulator and runs just fine
It's like a drug, you have to play it just one more time.
I remember repeating campain milions of times just to get that one more plane record from shooting it down.

Now that's a video game trailer! They made such remarkable videos with the technology back then, and now even with improved and enhanced graphic, nothing came close to AC5 & ACZero
This and the Halo 3 Finish the Fight trailer at the same E3 conference are among the best trailers of the era
I just noticed something, Larry Foulke is Belkan in nationality, Belka is based on Nazi Germany. when he describes the 3 aces, he makes a 3 with his index finger, middle finger, and thumb. That i the german "3" whereas the english 3 is formed with index, middle, and ring fingers.

I have a feeling that if Namco did everything we wanted, we would have had 4,5 and Zero remastered several years ago. :P Kinda hoping it happens though, I'd grab those real fast.

You can play all of them on PC using PCSX2.
How? I've had trouble with AC4. Graphical and sound glitches I can't get rid of.
I had the same problems using hardware mode, switching to software mode fixed most of the problems. It was some time since I last played them though, so maybe something have changed.
Zero is probably the best one of the entire series. And that's saying something since all the main games are bloody excellent.
My own experience was this:
Before playing AC4, AC5 and ACZero, I thought that they were common planes videogames.
I have never been so wrong... so fucking wrong...
To be fair, Electrosphere is reputed to be a good videogame on its own merit. It even has branching storylines quite similar to Zero. The English translation, however, sucks golf balls through a garden hose and wrecked the game's sales in the anglosphere.
It's ironic that some of Pixies last words in the game (Come on!) are in the trailer, yet they come across completely different without context

He's right, those last two games, especially Assault Horizon were the death of Ace Combat and are bullshit.
Well, at least they're making an effort to relive the older Ace Combat games in Infinity. Like the return of the classic flight mechanics from the old ACs, and... OH GOD, THE BOXY TARGETING THINGY FROM ELECTROSPHERE IS BACK.
Both games had their own pros and cons. Although I agree about Assault Horizon. Although the gameplay... was kinda good, to say the least (but forcing us to do the Dogfight mode almost all the time is kinda getting on my nerves), the storyline and plot was too bland. A stereotypical America vs Russia. Infinity, though... its Alternate Universe setting and plot twists, as well as the episodic single player missions're what made the game enjoyable to me.
Don't get me wrong, I've been addicted to this franchise since I've played the Electrosphere, but I find Infinity interesting, especially with all of the references to the classic PS2 and older-gen PS3 games.

I still remember when I first bought this game in 2006. And how I watched in awe the trailer. The game itself was one of the best experiences I ever felt, especially in the end.

February 2020. I played this back in 2008 when I was 8 years old. I'm grateful that I grew up playing this game. It taught me a lot and influenced my music taste growth over all.

Have a blast! Also you can try to find the old flight sticks at a second hand shop. They're usb. I bought mine new with five and they've worked into everything I've plugged them into.

Imagine a remaster release of this game on its 20th anniversary. Flying through the pure carnage at B7R again but in VR would be awesome. Still though, this trailer remains one of my favorites to this very day. That buildup and execution at 2:00 always gets me pumped.
Been Ace Combat fan since Ace Combat 2 on PS1 and even played Air Combat 22 in the Arcade countless times. I remember the first time watching the trailer I was like no way they are actually doing the Belkan War...until the title finally showed up at the end to confirm it. 17 years after still get goose bumps watching this. Zero remains my favourite in the series and 5 just set it up so perfectly.

This is by far the best trailer with the best music I have ever heard and it is 2017. Ace combat 7s second trailer did impress me a lot with the music alone. God I am so getting that game. This franchise is my childhood and I will fully support it.
that was the first game I've ever played in my life it was love in the first look I used to play this on my uncle's ps2 and in 2010 I won the ps2 in Christmas and then I discovered the ac4 and 5.
even today this is still my favorite game and I expect they do an remake of this on ps4 with AC7

To this day...I still feel that this is by far the best Ace Combat Ever made. second to none with Ace Combat 4 and 5 following close behind. Truly These games were Project Ace's best work.
