There's even dialogue that suggest Osean and Yuke soldiers are fighting each other, and Sea of Chaos did make a distinction between the Yuke and Osean fleet too. "Be careful, [Hamilton] was trained by the Grabacr aggressors." I don't think that's a point in his favor... Aaand he goes down with one SAAM, but apparently that's an amazing feat only an Ace of Aces can pull off! And we get what's probably the second-longest tunnel in the series (I think the one from Tunnel Vision in AC3 is longer) but definitely the most intense.

God I love how this briefing sums up everything you’ve done in the game to this point climaxing into a mid briefing attack with one of the most memorable launches in Ace Combat History 0:51 that little “End of Stream” error really contributes to the idea that they pieced it all together, right before the forces that be tries to stop them.
I’m constantly reminded of the handshake between the President and the Prime minister. I wish the U.S and Russia could do this today. Just sucks even world leaders can’t get along.

I'll admit the combined force flying together and singing the song together makes me tear up every time, I just can't help it! The idea is just beautiful... Also, I love the captain. One of the best support characters on top of being a badass oldtimer. We need more badass oldtimers in games!
God DAMN it man, I really need to get into this game, I haven’t played it much but I’ve watched people play it and listened to the music (which is fucking outstanding, by the way) a lot, it sealed a lot of memories for me last year despite not having really played the game.

Yeah, I have a US PS2/game and I hear explosions, too. Sometimes. EDIT: Yeah, in the replay at the end of the video, you can clearly hear the explosion thing.
TugaAvenger, I totally agree with your description. They could have went more all out on this mission, but still it's very solid in other aspects. Personally, I think they could have used Bartlett more. I would have liked to know if he survived the battle. It would have been super emotional to have Bartlett rejoin the squad after the tunnel run and have some dialogue there. A passing of the torch if you will. Anyway, I'm just super critical of the game, mostly because it was my favorite game on PS2 back in the day.
We could sure use statesmen like Harling and Nikanor right about now. Speaking of, I can only imagine how devastated Nikanor was when he found out that...well, I don't want to spoil things for the newcomers.

It's Kirk.
It's the Briefing Guy and noone can change my mind
i don't really remember how many years has it been since the last time I played this game.. but that moment when those green markers turns blue and Yuktobanian tells they'd fight on our side, I shed tears.. I did so in my childhood, and I still do so now.. and then I sing along with the rest of the pilots.. haha..
God I love how this briefing sums up everything you’ve done in the game to this point climaxing into a mid briefing attack with one of the most memorable launches in Ace Combat History
0:51 that little “End of Stream” error really contributes to the idea that they pieced it all together, right before the forces that be tries to stop them.
The briefing bring interrupted in this mission always gives me chills.
R.I.P. OFC Kestrel
Man, this really brings back memories.
They really need to bring Ace Combat to life as a full movie film
Who knew an Ace Combat Game would make me cry, until I remembered that the soundtracks in AC0 to 7 also made me cry
If you don't touch the Throttle during the intro of the mission, the targets come into range JUST as the music starts.
Always gave me chills lol
AC5 is so legendary. Long live the Kestrel 😭
I’m constantly reminded of the handshake between the President and the Prime minister. I wish the U.S and Russia could do this today. Just sucks even world leaders can’t get along.
17:07 you don't have the guts to hold that throttle!!😂
Then again, neither do i! Haha
I couldn't stop tears when the kestrel was gone
;_;7
Yup, we all loved that super carrier.
After playing ZERO Just make 05 MORE EPIC
That was a interesting story to see, I regret not playing those Ace combat games years ago, I guess I had a limited budget and was more focused on large team combat games at that point or star wars and city building stuff. oh well have a happy holidays everyone all year round every year :D
8:30 makes me a little teary every time I play through it
9:00 This moment... 😢😢😢
18:48 You're a whole continent away from Erusea, Yellow whatever-number-you-bear.
Well, that didn't stop them in 7. Maybe it's a drone...
@@TugaAvenger ua-cam.com/video/kZpwTDvRE7g/v-deo.html
But what if that Yellow is actually a Free Erusean member that lost his ass all the way to South Belka?
@@champagnegascogne9755 It's Jean-Louis
If you think about it, that last take off from the kestrel could of been another mission.
"This formation's not really suited for air-to-ground operations"
*DON'T YOU INSULT THE TOMCAT.*
im more Strike-Eagle (F-15) and im still with you.
DON'T YOU INSULT THE TOMCAT. X2
I don't know I can get so emotional from this beginning part when I don't even play this game
I need to now
Briefing 2 is such a majestic theme....
With current events, I wish reality was like this.
A group of soldiers standing up for the right thing to stand against war.
We can only hope.
What song is this in mission:27 on ace combat 5 because this is amazing
This game had no reason to be this emotional and epic. It's a arcade flight shooter
I'll admit the combined force flying together and singing the song together makes me tear up every time, I just can't help it! The idea is just beautiful...
Also, I love the captain. One of the best support characters on top of being a badass oldtimer. We need more badass oldtimers in games!
Keep coming back to this game way to often. I tear up alot while playing this
This game needs a remake this mission would be more awesome then it is
not gonna cry...must not cry *cries* damn feels
The buildup to the tunnel is insanely immersive, but god does smacking the “hurdles” at the end of the tunnel 20 times in a row kill that lol
2020 election brought me here. Presidential speech of Harling and Nikanor is the best moment I've ever memorized.
Oof, I can't think of anything that'd be FURTHER from the current election. I'm glued to the tabs following this. Barely slept tonight.
The Razgriz flew forward without hesitation, on their wings, the hope of all who desire peace.
God DAMN it man, I really need to get into this game, I haven’t played it much but I’ve watched people play it and listened to the music (which is fucking outstanding, by the way) a lot, it sealed a lot of memories for me last year despite not having really played the game.
when I first played this game, after playing Ace Combat 4, and hearing that name Sky Eye, my eldest bro and I were both nerding out as it was an obvious call back to that game. A friendly name at the best time
I choked in the tunnel once because I went too fast. Also, why when I play this mission the shutters make an explosion sound instead of the creaking sound that plays in the video?
Do you play on a European version of the game, by any chance? I do and I also get the explosion sounds, while I think Tuga's playing on a US one.
No, I have a US PS2.
Strange, I have no idea what could cause this then.
Yeah, I have a US PS2/game and I hear explosions, too. Sometimes.
EDIT: Yeah, in the replay at the end of the video, you can clearly hear the explosion thing.
The only game I still play on my ps2
Maverick Would Be Proud Of Razgriz.
Now we know what it was like for Lando to fly the falcon in and out of the last Death Star
This mission intro is absolute cinema.
17:52 "All right Wedge, go for the power regulator on the north tower"
Huh... Wrong video haha
This is totally the Death Star 2 run in Strangereal haha
@@thiccchungo1041 Project ACES people must be huge fans of Star Wars... Almost every game implies flying into a tunnel at some point.
10:40 that’s some badass music, anyone know what it’s called?
"Wings of Unity".
TugaAvenger thanks man
Still dropping a tear over the Oka Nieba moment
I love that the Oscen first fighter wing laid out their commanding officer to help you guys, meaning he was either a Belkan or a warmonger and they decided, "Piss on you, I work for President Harling."
The camera at 6:02 and the M61 in the beginning cutscene is amazing.
