I just recently picked me up one. (okay I picked me up 2, one for propagating and one for me to love on! LOL! I am super thrilled with them and go insane for the yummy looking blooms! Great video and thanks for sharing!!! PS Glad to know that they are toxic...I’m always tempted to pop one in my mouth because the look just so durn delicious!!! LOOKS LIKE I WON’T BE DOING THAT! LOL!
🤣😂🤣😂 they are great aren't they? I just watched your stapelia video and wow!... such a massive beautiful bloom! Have had them on my list for my quite some time, made me happy to see your succulent treasure!
Theres a few that aren't too smelly really, and yes I'm into them, whats not to like they're pretty cool. I'm currently working with Edithcoleia grandis, the little cutting I have has grown like crazy (happy dance) but the critical endangered Duvaliandra dioscoridis is giving me trouble and keeps getting some kind of rot (Boo) but I still have two little pieces going its a harder one to grow....Happy growing!
Love that plant, but no luck.. would love a cutting, will gladly send some seed yo don’t have or a nice plant you don’t have. Keep up the Good work. Thanks . John
I have a little lifesaver years has big flowers mine has little flowers about the size of your thumb nail. I was told they are called Dragon's Tail but of course they have a real name. Mine doesn't seem to progress except for the fact that it's alive and it gives me flowers but it's not multiplying. I think I'm going to try getting them and doing this what you said today putting them sideways see what grows out. 👉👵👈
Hey I know this is an old video but I absolutely loved it. Wondering if you could answer a question. How do you tell that it is "calloused" I have two pieces that I didnt realize fell off until I went to pot my new plant. So I don't want to keep then drying to callous if they already are haha. Any help would be much appreciated love all your videos I've watched so far!!
Very informative thanks, what is your area,,,, country,, as I just bought two and am interested in copying the best I can with temperatures for them .😊 Tomato fertilisers,,,, wouldn't have thought about that lol
Nitpicky taxonomist here-----Huernia is a genus, not a family. The family that the genera Stapelia, Huernia, and Hoya belong to is Asclepiadaceae, and it's pronounced hwernia------think of Stewie Griffin! But it is a super cool plant
I learned loads watching this, thank you very much!
That is a cool bloom, mine just ha a big stinky star!

hmmm....i've never seen a lifesaver look like that... I swear if I would of seen it in real life I would of thought it was fake. Looks great ♥
Wondering if you still have this plant so many years later. I know you said you've had it for a few years already.
Ok I’m going to have to get one.

Any tips or even hacks for getting it to flower? Mine flat out refuses. I’m growing her indoors with lots of light.
What is the best soil for this plant??
