Brock it’s nice to see you and your dad working together. Two very smart guys putting their heads together to accomplish projects. There’s nothing better than that.

The new video equipment is going to allow for some nice professional looking videos. I’ll be honest and say that I’ve enjoyed your content enough that I personally didn’t think a change was needed, but considering this is how you earn a living, the fine details are important. You have grown a lot over the years and I’m sure you’ll continue to evolve and improve your techniques into the future. That’s why you have such a loyal following. It’s great to see you and your dad working together as well 👍

Bought a WC88 to use behind my L4701 (39 PTO HP). That thing is a beast. Stalled the tractor one time trying to feed a 6" oak branch into it, but it had no problem with the same size tulip branch. The chainsaw holder wont hold a Stihl MS261 with a 20" bar, but I have a Sawhaul I prefer. Only occasionally annoying thing is getting the intake roller to actually grab a large diameter branch sometimes. Really fun feeding a 40' long vine into it and just watching it pull on through. Purchase choice was the WC88 or the Woodmaxx MX-8600, and while I like the 2 quart hydraulic system on the Woodmaxx, the WC88 is a better value and can handle a larger branch, albiet with more HP than I currently have.

I didn’t think my setup through as well and I had a tricky time getting my mill out of the garage after I built it. lol. Handy to have ole Dad around.

More videos like these small projects. Maybe even show a mowing video when the lawn gets away from you . Keep up the good work.

Looks like maybe a lightweight Gantry Crain is the way to go. You could build it out of 2x12 lumber and a HF winch.

You need a deck over trailer, those fenders are totally in the way of what you want to accomplish....found that out with my car trailer for loading and unloading pallets and stuff, the fenders are in the way....a deck over trailer is the way to go.
I know you are saving money but honestly, those fenders on the trailer would drive me nuts trying to load or unload a sawmill from it like that. Great idea, and I'm sure over time you'll come up with some modifications to make it work better....maybe build up a platform somehow that gets you over those fenders so they're not in the way of your pallet forks.

Hi Brock. You and your Dad could use headsets to communicate over engine noise.

That was supposed to be the change in todays video
I normally don’t talk to a camera while the machine is running. We were wearing wireless microphones in this video.

A friend uses a set of earphones and a mike to communicate with his assistant when they are working around equipment, or one is inside the machine and the other one is directing from the ground. Tim and Christy on TTWT use this system, which seems to work very well for them.

If they weren't so expensive, and there was some sort of affordable payment plan options a wood chipper would be great...a 3" chipper would be perfectly fine for my needs....its a shipping nightmare for me for anything too because the shipping companies usually are out doing deliveries while I'm at work and they can't just drop stuff off without someone being home to sign off on their paperwork....this is one downside to being alone.

So how did you get the opportunity to receive these "damaged in transit" mills for repair and resale?
