They should've brought this back in the Fully Loaded film, but oh welp the film was disgraceful anyways and a total flop they ruined Herbie and made too many changeover to look more like a Nascar like Vehicle. Also the designs for the Car and the paintings were pretty off anyways
I've never, ever heard a Volkswagen start and sound the same way as they depicted in The Love Bug, etc. I know they used the engine from a Porsche in parts of the film, but even that: what starter motor is that? And the sounds when taking off at speed? Where were those from?
