Set 1 (Essential set!!)
Appointment confirmation
Sevis ID
Signed I-20
Passport (should have at least 6 months before it gets expired)
Set 2 (Just in case)
Admission letter
Scholarship letter
IELTS/TOFEL Marks
SAT score
School / College mark sheets (School- 9th to 12th grade)
Set 3 (Finance backup docs)
Finance documents:
Bank statements
Loan sanction letters
Official Financial report
Experience (what happens inside the interview)
Total 8 queues
3 before you go inside the security check building.
2 (where you have access to washrooms and drinking water)
3 to the actual building!
Reminders:
There is no counter that rejects everyone!!! so do not trust people who say don't go to this or that counter.
Check if you have your documents before leaving.
Reach early, there might be traffic and the slot queue open early (2hours before is preferred!!)
Bring someone with you to hold on to valuables (phones, docs)
You cannot interact with your accomplices once you enter the 2nd queue.
Bring a throwable water bottle!!
Be patient, it takes time to achieve wonderful things!
Do not show you are nervous in front of the officers.
You are ready to Ace this Interview!!!

Is Biometric and Visa interview in Chennai at two different places?

Hi can you tell me for undergraduate amount should be shown in i20 is 1.5times Or whole year (4years) for visa interview. Which amount should be perfect
1.5 times is better in my opinion. It is more than enough

You said we can carry the phone switched off with us in the interview place. Then why we need a locker?
You can keep other items in the locker. it depends on each person. Locker is an optional service provided by the embassy
Any hotel near embassy u know plz tell?
Are locker facilities available in Chennai consulate?
there is locker available only at chennai OFC and not in the US Consulate. I would prefer you to bring someone with you, so they can handle your things during the interview.

I heard that the visa officer won't ask bank statements, is that true??
It’s never a bad idea to not have it… they asked if for customs (so it is better to have that set ready just in case)
My interview is on Monday (28:08:2023) and i am goin for b sc in biology from Oregon State University and i am really scared that many people are saying that you'll get rejected in Chennai because they are not approving the visa...what should i do that they can approve my visa
I would say… be confident and don’t get scared in front of the officer.
-Keep all ur financial documents ready.
-school enrollment email or letter
-details about ur status in other colleges (were u waitlisted or selected)
-ur parents work
-any loans u have (big loans ur family have)
These are some questions they might ask you to ensure that you are going just for your studies.
Do not worry too much, you will be amazing!!!!!

My sister is studying in the same uni in which i applied to on scholarship. Will this thing put positive impact to visa officer and will it increase chances of visa for me??

Having a scholarship increases ur chances, since it shows that u worked hard academically to receive the scholarship.. adding that ur sister goes to the same college might not be a appropriate answer since it might mean, u are trying to move to US through this way and I have heard they reject people cause of that

I am going for F1 interview but taking my family for F2 and will they let my 15 year old disabled child enter inside with priority. Or if we can bring someone for helping him?

U should first fill out the application form through their portal and then after you paid the sevis-fees, you can start scheduling your appointment date
