  • How to change the o-rings on the JTA Airacuda series valves.
My camera ran out of memory during the first part of removing the valve, but that was covered in another video as well. But this will give you the main valve repair

It amazes me how simple this pcp airgun looks to take down and service, i honestly cant wait to get one.
Never owned a pcp and this will be my first pcp airgun, seen plenty of reviews for the uk model and it seems to get much tighter grouping for airguns x2 to x2.5 times the cost and doesnt have any of the plastic junk a lot of the airguns we have here in the uk.

This is great stuff! I'd like a video on the bolt and hammer removal and the Trigger removal also.

Good stuff. Eagerly awaiting the standard Cuda video. Curious about the power adjuster.

Have you done any testing by backing out on the valve spring nut? I heard it will give more power. What’s your thoughts.
    Thx Hunter

Thanks for these videos; they are quite informative and helpful. This may not be the place to ask, but my Airacuda Max does not let me de-cock the rifle without firing. If I hold the trigger while slowly bringing forward the cocking lever, at some point near the end, the rifle will discharge. What do I need to do to allow me to de-cock without firing? So far this is the only negative behavior I have experienced on the rifle. Thanks for any help you can give.

I have not encountered that problem, I would reach out to the Importer Travis Whitney. he is on the Airacuda owners facebook group, and is admin of the JTS Airguns facebook group page.
or email him directly at travis@xisicousa.com. he will be able to help.

@@45bravoairguns4 Thank you for your reply. After leaving my note to you, I found a another UA-cam link that explains how to de-cock the rifle without firing it. Basically, the trick is simply to let go of the trigger before fully returning the cocking lever to its closed position. The link is at ua-cam.com/video/dIGpJg3aScE/v-deo.html . Thanks again for your reply and your videos. Jim

Have you had any issues with flexing of the receiver due to low spot in the stock near the tapped hole for the action screw? Some are reporting not being able to insert a magazine straight out of the box.

    • @45bravoairguns4
      @45bravoairguns4  Рік тому

No I have not seen or heard of anyone having that issue out of the box.
I have been dealing with and repairing airguns since the 70’s, and writing guest blogs for Pyramyd Air for years.
I have heard of one owner on Facebook that tightened the stock screw too much and say they had trouble inserting the magazine.
But from what I read, once he lessened the tension it was easy to insert the magazine.
Airguns are typically made from aluminum or zinc alloy in most of the gun, with steel in the required more stressed areas. This is because they are subjected to less pressure and recoil than firearms, and they are made to a price point.. The stocks need to be just sung, there is no need to really crank on them.
Have a nice day! And keep us posted

@@45bravoairguns4 I noticed the action bolt on my rifle was loose when I was going to work on the trigger. I thought that was a mistake from the factory but just happened to see info regarding possibly distorting the action by over-tightening that bolt.
This air rifle doesn't require firm bedding like a conventional firearm so I made the bolt snug, but didn't torque it much. And I used a small amount of blue Loctite to prevent it from loosening and falling out on its own.
BTW, the trigger work I did involved making a lighter version of the trigger return spring. The tension on the stock one made it hard to feel when the first stage ended and the second stage was engaged. With the lighter spring there's a definite point where the first stage ends and the second stage is engaged. It also allows for a slightly lighter and crisper trigger pull.
Thanks for the demo on how to service the valve.
