@@walkercleveland1245 Digitech Whammy 1 or WH-1 which are expensive to buy since you have to get them 2nd hand now but you can do it accurately with the WH-4 also which is much less expensive. I think there is also a little bit of delay pedal mixed in but not quite sure? The swell sound is simply the motion of the footpedal (Whammy) coming up off the end of each note and the beginning of some.
@@devinsinderwitcz9134 Apparently none of the newer versions of the Digitech whammy pedal sound quite as good in terms of getting Tom's signature sound. I haven't had the benefit of testing this myself though. Those pedals aren't cheap.
He is using a whammy pedal, but any digital pitch shifter would work. I think on the recording he uses the 2 octave up mode. He also has a delay set sorta long. He also plays those 2 pedals through a marshall jcm800 i believe. He normally pits his pedals in the fx loop, bit putting them in front of the amp works too. I hope that helps if you guys didnt already find out!
