    Champion that was..... just followed your instructions and it worked a treat. Spins much better now and makes less of a clicking noise. Thanks a bunch.

    I did this to 10 a year old wheel that had a sticky free hub. No more issues and as a bonus it makes less noise. Thanks

    You should only use mineral oil to lubricate the cassette body. No other oil or grease should be used. The delrin washer will be affected and the freewheel will eventually seize.

      The Morgan blue race oil is the best, which is what I used Link to Pro Lube, Morgan blue, £12, amzn.to/2QeJVHK, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

    I'm having the same issue: slow hub spin, on a NEW set of Cosmic Elites. The slow hub makes for significant chain slap as the rear der has to struggle against it to take up slack. A real pill. In this video, your hub after lubing does not seem to be appreciably less sticky than before.

    Great video but sure there was a washer that got missed out on the rebuild? It's the one that goes somewhere inside the freehub body.

      @@aaanton11 i am sure there is a washer that goes between the free hub and the hub bearings. I saw you take it off? Not saying you didn't put it on but i didn't see it on this video? Is that where it goes?

    • @bradypuckett2817
      @bradypuckett2817 3 роки тому

      Yes I believe the washer was stuck to the bearing when he removed the free hub body so it goes between the two bearings

    What are the tools you use to adjust the non-drive side bearing tension? You said the locking nut is 17mm but what size wrench do you need to use to keep the bearing cap steady while you tighten the nut?

    • @aaanton11
      @aaanton11  4 роки тому

      If I remember right that is 17mm as well, possibly a 15mm, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

    I have to guess that the little pauls did not hold up so good when someone first tried to use a forty eight tooth rear sprocket. I can just imagine how fast they failed with the increased concentrated stresses. These sites will never admit to problems with new design systems. I see the word upgrade but they never explain why it is better. Only that you need it because we are the experts and explanations are not needed.
