Theory: Wilbur has a shattered soul. Split directly down the middle. Ghostbur, and new alivebur, are the two halves. Only one soul can control the body. Ghostbur wanted them to live in the same body in harmony, but they both suffered. And alivebur wanted ghostbur to leave him so he can be his "true" self. The self he wanted to be. Ghostbur and alivebur both at the same time begged philza to kill them, causing them both to remember it, And ghostbur was rejected from the body, but the body was sent to hell. "The body? How can the body be sent to hell?" Did you forget this is minecraft? When someone dies their body dissapears completely. The soul was shattered the moment L'manberg was blown up. Ghostbur is what's left of President Wilbur. This is why Slimecicle referred to ghostbur as "Ashy." Anyone notice how there are times between when Wilbur "snapped" and when Wilbur Died, that he walked around giving people blue. Nobody noticed this, and I don't know why yall just forgot about it. Aswell as how conflicted he was when the button was in front of him. Almost as if there were already cracks in the soul, and the halves were fighting. Also notice how Alivebur is well aware of Ghostbur, but ignores him. He rejects the blue, "don't give me that shit." And when he rejects Friend, he doesn't reject it, he doesn't know who Friend is at all. This is definitly because alivebur was.. well.. in hell when Ghostbur met Friend. Alivebur doesn't know who Friend is, but rejects blue because Ghostbur was giving out blue far before the two halves split. So alivebur is well aware that the blue is Ghostburs thing, And is angry with him. Almost the same way Ghostbur doesn't like Alivebur, and wants to stay away from the things that Alivebur did. Oh, and here's where the "soul being split" bit comes in. As in, the halves the two souls are. The memories are built apon the halves that were split, and the whole reason the halves were split in the first place. Ghostbur has the memories of L'manberg, and working to fight to keep Freedom, friends, and positivity. Alivebur remembers the exact opposite. Alivebur remembers blowing up L'Manberg and rebelling AGAINST L'Mnaberg and being selfish, careless, etc. The emotions are built apon who lost and who won in the fight against eachother. Alivebur won in the fight because he managed to blow up L'Manberg eternally, so his emotions are happy and filled with glee. Ghostbur lost in the fight because L'Manberg was blown up, so he's much more sad, and angry. Their personalities are built apon their memories and emotions. Ghostbur is depressed. but he doesn't want anyone else to get involved or feel the same way. he uses blue to comfort him, and it helps, so he passes it around for everyone else to be healed of their sorrows like himself. Friend also helps with this. it helps him because it allows him to talk to someone without the fear of being insulted or turned down on his emotions, the only "Friend" he talks to, knowing that the sheep will forget it eventually. He distracts himself from the chaos because he doesn't like it when the dark parts of history repeat. Alivebur is careless. freeform. He believes in anarchy. He'd prefer if things like L'Manberg stayed dead, but he knows it wont. He knows people are loyal to L'Manberg. Even after he's seen L'manberg still dead, he knows it wont be for long. He believe most people are like sheep. Easily manipulated and only with a few goals. he's also one of the only people capable of seeing through what peoples main goal is, and what they want, and uses them to get what he wants. And that's my theory.
