      @apara2005 4 роки тому +23

      @Sharon Tate agreed!!! You trim for split ends; it does not help if your hair is experiencing bad shedding or breaking.
      You either need moisturizing or protein to stop excessive shedding or breakage. I would start with a good deep conditioner first, it's the least harsh thing to do. If you are still experiencing breaking, try protein, but be careful. To harsh of a treatment can cause more breakage. Start with a gentle protein treatment, and work your way up if that doesn't work. Advice from a personal care chemist :).

      Jolene J Try washing your hair maybe once a month. Instead of every week because your hair gets soft and break off if you shampoo your hair every week. Just whenever you take a shower just wash you hair with water everyday to stop build up. And you can use chebe powder which strengths the hair.

    • @ahub87
      @ahub87 5 років тому +35

      Your hair is growing but it's breaking at a faster than or at the same rate that it's growing. You probably need a protein treatment. You may also have some form of deficiency. Vitamin D and Iron deficiency will cause the hair to break like crazy.

    • @ray83baby
      @ray83baby 5 років тому +8

      Check to see if it is just breaking or its shedding more than usual. Sometimes it could be iron deficiency or vitamin D deficiency. I always try to deal with hair issues from inside out. And its really helped. Sometimes protein treatments could just be putting on a bandaid and not dealing with the actual problem

    • @Feliososarky
      @Feliososarky 2 роки тому

      Could be simpler like needing more moisture . Especially if you live in colder dryer weather and have a low porosity. In between washing adding water + oils helps a lot of issues!

  • @courtneynicole767
    @courtneynicole767 2 роки тому

    My hair is keratin treated so I haven't needed a protein treatment in a while but I recently dyed my hair and it is DRY breaking when I wash. I'm trying cholesterol dc now and while I sit under the dryer I searched how to stop breakage and immediately protein treatment videos came up. I COMPLETELY forgot about needing to balance moisture and protein. If this dc doesn't work I'm going to try protein next. Sad thing is I actually have the shea moisture protein one she recommended. Ugh I wish I watched this video before I washed.
    Update: used the SM protein treatment immediately after rinsing the DC and my hair is looking and feeling much better. Thanks so much for this video. It was traumatic seeing all that breakage during my wash today.

      Poison Sultry Try deep conditioning weekly with the Mielle mint Babassu deep conditioner until your hair bounces back. Then still deep condition weekly after you shampoo, but alternate between moisture and protein based on your hairs needs. You may only need protein once every month or two months (when your hair bounces back).

      John Smith yes it does, having certain types of hair requires more effort to achieve length. Some people do not have as much time to take care of their hair. Therefore, genetics plays a role, but effort levels the playing field.

      I’ve never tried rice water but from what I’ve seen on UA-cam it appears to be good for hair. It’s just a little too high maintenance for me. I like simple and easy routines.

      I've seen other videos where people who are allergic to eggs say they substitute egg with coconut milk.
