I have recently purchased a GP-5 kit. The filter that came with it is rather large and is marked...ABEKP NBC 2 FZ 02 LRG PIC 02-02. Color is black. No other markings. I believe the company that sold this has gone ahead and switched out the bad filter for this one. I just cannot find information on it. Maybe you could help. Thank you.

I think they're simply called ABC filters (apparently thats the translation for cbrn) over here. I think the lowest price is about 20€ from what I saw so far. Thanks for the advice though
No worries, I've filmed a video where I went looking through eBay to try and find good deals on CBRN gear for people and it's surprisingly hard in certain places where the terminology is all different. Like someone told me the other day the US uses terms like N95 and N100 rather than P1 and P3 regarding filter protection levels.
That is too expensive. Serbian company Trayal is producing and selling A2B2E2K2P3 RD40 filters for about 11 euros. Brand new filters with 10 years shelf life. Same company is producing M2 gas masks for the army.

Maybe gp5 owners should just buy plastic 40mm nato filters and force those it, as the plastic will deform before the metal, keeping your mask safe, but also deforming into the threads, thus giving a more air-tight seal. I would do it, maybe do it the way you tap threads, as in screw in, screw out, screw in further, screw out, and repeat. Do it at your own risk, but if you don't feel like spending 20 dollars on shipping+the filter itself for you gp5, its worth a try.
8:07 To be frank, let's say it's 20, 30, or even 50 dollars every 3 years - even then it's worth it (if it's gonna buy one life...).
