  • The Ni Fi loop is a powerful emotion fueled simulator that can sometimes leave the INTJ feeling paralyzed. I've been working on using this mindset shift with the help of a particular function and have found it to be beneficial. Hope it serves you on your journey!

    I love all of the unique combos of functions. Ni/Fi is asking 'what is this in it's simplest form?' and then 'do I care about this?' They work very well together so long as the Te continues to remind the Fi that there are other people involved and the Se shows up enough to make sure the Ni is getting accurate info.

    "Processing needs to end, and life needs to continue" - well said :D. For me, a way to get out of a Ni-Fi loop has been sensory tasks. When I force myself to do sensory things, I get my mind to process feelings in a more "thinking" way, and it can break the loop for me. But I have to do the sensory things almost daily in that periode, otherwise I just get pulled back in to the loop. I see the benefits of the loop, too, but I`ve had a tendency to dive too deep in there. Thanks LiJo :)!

    • @Blueflamey
      @Blueflamey Рік тому +1

      I notice that in my exp, when Ni-Fi kicks in, it means that there's something I needed to do planning on, which has something to do with Se. I think we're similar in a way that we use sensory actions to push ourselves to do Te things. Most of the time, I have to convince myself that I have to plan and it'll be ok (because there's going to be a plan) 😅
      I tried using Ti to call myself out too. During a Ni-Fi loop, it feels too harsh for my fragile Fi (I know, it feels silly but I'm starting to embrace my lower functions and I guess, this is a way). For some reason, it just didn't work for me. But I guess, to each their own.

    • @BuizelCream
      @BuizelCream Рік тому

      @@Blueflamey Can our 6th Ti be described as "our sense of conviction"? I guess it can feel like Fi when our conviction is related to our beliefs about ourselves. But what if it is something related to practical things about ourselves that are undeniably the truth? Because we know who we are.
      When my Fi goes so crazy in the loop, there are moments when I allow my Ti to make it's say. It's not Te that's based on external metrics, but it's about what my true strengths and weaknesses are, and how it has served me despite whatever feelings I tell myself, either I'm worthy for it or not.
      I guess I brought this up because it kind of links the Superego of the INTJ Ego, which is the ISFJ. ISFJs have Si-Ti. It's past-oriented based on how things have always worked out. I dunno. There are times when my Fi speaks whatever negative stuff it has to say, and Ti here is like "Nope! That's not true."

    • @Blueflamey
      @Blueflamey Рік тому

      @@BuizelCream Hmm... For me, the people in this world are a lot and each has their own perspective. This perspective is formed through how they perceive their world (aka, cognitive functions) and may have a lot to do with how each behaves. Hence, every person, for me, has a different personality.
      With this, I don't think my Fi is the sole responsible for beliefs about myself. What I think of myself, imo., is a product of my perspective. And with my first statements in mind, my perspective is the product of, let's say, Ni Te Fi Se. Maybe my shadow functions have a hand too though I'm not entirely sure of that. Well, bias. Like, I'll most likely rely on what I'm comfortable with, even if I want to be open-minded, like on its truest sense. So, I think that my belief about myself is what I know of my personality.
      On an INTJ's Ni-Fi loop, aka., the INTJ thinking gone out of hand.
      I can say, I'm at the time of my life wherein I'm trying to have a different pov on a lot of things. Generally about life, the meaning of things in an abstract sense. Hmm... More like, I would like to define important things on my own, and not rely so much on my Te. Because well, Te loves to be validated (lol). Or in my experience, validation in a way that while Ni sifts through the information I perceive, Te further compares those against bodies of knowledge. To let Fi kick in, bodies of knowledge that I trust. In this way, I kinda find my process funny. This is something I'm not fully aware of when I was 2-3 years younger. But I guess that's bias. Eventhough I know now and have the hypothetical power to change myself for the better, it might be very difficult or, maybe impossible? Though I don't wish to ascribe to impossibility, I realize that this is more than a habit. It's bias--cognitive bias, something I've relied on for ages. Hence why I said that. Why I do sensory actions when I'm in "the loop".
      And true to what I said that I'm trying to change, I also tried to study and use my shadow functions. But, let's just say it's pretty difficult for me do subconsciously. Because at this point, I'll most likely rely on what I'm comfortable with, which is Ni Te Fi Se. And I'm not that used with utilizing Se. Or even Fi, to their maximum potential (I believe).
      I'm still trying to use my shadow functions though atm., they're more of a conscious choice rather than a natural flow of thinking for me. If you're able to utilize Ti during the loop, then kudos for you! Me on the other hand, not so successful with that 😅.
      Sorry if this TED talk is too long.

And the Ni-Fi loop makes more sense to me, especially reflecting back on my feelings of self identity and higher levels of pig headedness when it comes to not doing things just for the sake of others, without first deeply analyzing all the variables against my own values.

      @mtdarkness82 2 роки тому

      When it comes to productivity, INTJs are best when they time or measure their performance. Then, they have realistic understandings of what they're like and where they are at. It can give them that internal feeling of positivity for breaking records and competing with themselves. This basically replaces Ti with both Ni (attention to goals) and Te (external organization) and is much more like Ti on steroids. Ti users usually don't have any idea what they want,
      You Ni types know exactly what you guys want at all times and that's what you rely on to do both the plan/daydream part, and also the external organization (alarms, individualized performance metrics, etc.) part to meet those goals. That allows you to use that Fi, how the world makes you feel, and turn that "what's objectively effective" Te function inwards. Making progress or outperforming yourself will feed that Fi and make you feel good in a meaningful way, which is what can often empower someone to get out of that loop.
      Tr;Dr: Escape a loop by giving yourself easy, but increasingly difficult wins toward your 6th function in order to feed/heal the paired animal (For a Ni-Te blast subtype caught in a Ni-Fi sleep loop, you gotta willingly feed that Se-Fi consume increasingly difficult wins, and Se-Fi likes to consume stuff that makes themselves feel good about their in-the-moment performance.)

    There’s something interesting in the 6th functions and 5th functions, we almost don’t value the 5th at all but we can somewhat be admired at the 6th
    And I think, to use OP language, it’s because your first function’s human need pretty much goes against your 5th function’s human need while the 6th function is like combining your middle functions together, and you are more natural and relaxed with your middle functions, double observing or double deciding,

    i appreciate your Te-oriented view, and i'm happy that it's been working for you. however, at least for me, there's no escape unless the winged anima descends upon the child god and gets him out of the mouth of the mount doom. yea, you heard me right! one of those 'animalistic' occasions i guess.
    all i'm saying is that one does not simply break the loop order of the two introverted irrational functions with another introverted function which itself lies down in the shadowland.. unless, you'd already mastered the art of crossing the boundaries and torching up the unconscious, which again makes you not falling (or not as much as before) into the loop in the first place. NiFi looping is no joke, at least not for me. i get completely out of sync with the external world, it just doesn't exist in the dictionary, i'm just the butterfly dreaming of being don quixote...

      What are problems?

    • @shindig9000
      @shindig9000 2 роки тому

      @@InternetLiJo what are the problems with loops?
      They seem to usually have a negative connotation of being stuck, and I don't think they are necessarily bad and if you are trying to process something, you're probably doing it for a reason.
      The other thing is what people are going to confuse as being a loop based off of how they feel, and sometimes there's a lot more that is going into these feelings than just being stuck between two functions.
      So if you just think it's because you're in a loop, to me that is ignoring the possibilities of what might actually be affecting you.
      Also if you do think that people are actually pretty blind to themselves, the self-reporting of loops could practically be anything.
      I also think they are bad in terms of people trying to use them to type themselves or verify their type which I think is a bad way to go about it as well.
      So to narrow it down, my problems with them are that I don't see anything that is really that helpful by focusing on them (although I do understand you said that you found it helpful in your video), and there's no way to actually verify their existence whatsoever besides the user's subjective view of what they think is happening.
