- This is my photo gallery of Bologna, Italy, photographed at the end of July 2024. Bologna is the capital and largest city of the Emilia-Romagna region, located between Venice and Florence. Bologna boasts amazing medieval architecture, a rich cultural heritage, and excellent food. The University of Bologna, founded in 1088, is the oldest university in the world. The city is surrounded by picturesque landscapes.
Technical: This gallery was shot using the Fujifilm XF 27mm F/2.8 prime lens and is intended to showcase how a 27mm lens works for street photography. The camera used was the Fujifilm X-E2. The photos were taken with the Standard film simulation and 200% DR. The photos were slightly modified in GIMP (mostly to straighten the buildings).

So many nice pictures! I was reminded of my own vacations in Italy. You managed to capture a lot of "atmosphere". 3 sec per image was fast, I wanted to look more. Some commentary in the video would have made it even better. I noticed less slanted lines on buildings (than expected) (looked good), then I read your comment about Gimp. (I have a Fujifilm X-E2, too).

Excellent video. Good to see that your X-E2 works very well with the 27mm for your travel. Are you happy with the weight of this combination, and the overall trip experience, considering that, before your X-A1 died, your travel setup often included the X-A1 and the XC 15-45mm?
Hi Alberto! I was actually surprised how well this combo worked. The lens is tiny and incredibly convenient. I missed the zoom less than I anticipated. At the same time, image stabilization would've been good. Cheers!
