How convenient that this video popped up in my recommendations a day before my Fujifilm X10 arrives. Your channel was one of the main reasons I bought this camera too. Thanks Tom!
(warning: personal info dump) I'm visiting my aunt in my old hometown right now because my father died a couple of months ago and now i have no parents left - so my main task is to sort out everything from our old flat and stay the nights at my aunt's. It gets really nostalgic sometimes seeing all that old stuff and I remembered how i loved to take pictures as a kid. Suddenly my aunt asks me if want to have her old camera bc she doesn't use it anymore. It's the X10! I had no idea about that camera and now I'm sitting here, the third evening in row watching your videos on the x10 because you have exactly that nostalgic spirit with it (you say in the other video that the pictures look like taken in one's childhood, in the best sense). And boy, I get so much joy from imagining going on hikes with it (I even already had a swiss alp hike planned next week before I got the camera) and it's giving me something to hold on to and looking forward to. Thank you for your calm videos - I'm sure I will enjoy that camera so much out in nature, I already love how it feels and handles. Thanks for reading and good night 😊
Hi! First, I'm sorry about your father. These times must be difficult for you. The X10 is a great camera and very special indeed. I think it's a true photography lover's camera. With this camera, you feel like everything you need is right there in your hand, without even needing any additional lenses. Enjoy your time in the Swiss Alps, one of the prettiest regions of all. Kind regards!
Hi! Thank you for this question. I've not used the X20 but I know what the differences are. There are quite a few small differences but for me the major one is the sensor. The X10 uses a very interesting EXR sensor that makes the EXR functions possible (ua-cam.com/video/oNiBvA6dZx4/v-deo.html). The X20 has a more typical CMOS sensor that does not offer these functions. So, for me the X10 is a more capable camera. At the same time the X20 fixed some of the small issues that the X10 had (a bit about auto focus, video etc). Kind regards!
@tom_photo Thanks for such a swift reply. I just got my hands on a beautiful X10 and will get to know it thoroughly with the help of your videos. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to start shooting with the X10. 👌🥂
Hi! Thank you for asking. Could you clarify your question a little bit? Are you thinking of adding another lens to this camera? Would you add it to the existing lens or instead of it? Kind regards!
@@tom_photo attatch a lens to this camera theres a offbrand lens called lentes a 50mm with a c mounth adapter/ screw in built in within the lens like u can just screw it on the fujifilm lens easily prob with an adaptor
@@MikeeOkk Hi! I see, thank you for the clarification. I don't have first hand experience with this lens. However, it's likely to work with manual focus. Unfortunately I don't know what it will do with autofocus. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Best of luck to you!

And it's basically my first time outside of phone photography since having digicams as a child!

Hi! Thank you so much. Kind regards!
Hi, quick question if I can,
Have you ever tried the X20?
Any idea as to what the difference is?
Thanks

Do you think a aps c lens like a external manual focus lens a screw on thingy would work when recording using a locked focus?
