Cutout style photography - photographing landscapes and nature

This video shows what I call Cutout Photography. This is an abstract style of photography where normal photos are turned into cutout style images by using a very small number of colors/tones and large areas are merged into one uniform color. This results in simplistic, abstract, low detail images that are pleasing to watch. The simplified images work because they bring out the most important aspects of the photo. The photos resemble minimalistic paintings. This style is often used in street art that you might find on the walls or buildings. I hope you like my sample gallery of abstract cutout images showcasing nature and landscapes. I will soon produce a video on how I make these photos. I'm using Fujifilm cameras and GIMP.
