A little disclaimer: we were streaming from the new office so the sound and video quality may feel a bit off as we didn't have enough opportunities to test the setup. We were also noticeably worse prepared for the stream as we were dealing with the technical side of streaming until the very last minute, so please forgive our occasional stutters or half-hearted answers. Other than that, we - as always - tried to do our best! Enjoy!
I'm a new player and I found the tutorial very helpful, plus I watched about a 1 hour tutorial from a player on youtube to get a feel if I wanted to buy the game at all, but I know not everyone would do that. That said, certain things are definitely overwhelming, but I haven't lost yet (and I've played 5-6 camps so far?). I'm not trying to play anymore difficult than settler yet, but it would be nice to see more guidance. It can't hurt, so long as it's not intrusive! I think the only thing I find really confusing is figuring out if I'm making materials or if I just have some in my stash when, say, I'm considering getting a wine making station, but I don't know if I'm acquiring berries or just sitting on a small stash. It took awhile to discover that the camps, etc. are highlighted in blue to indicate you have the means to make things though, which is super helpful. I would like to see the recipes panel easier to navigate (like when you search a word but don't have it, then you have to press 'show all' but that wasn't intuitive). It might be as simple as making that on by default and then including an alternative radio button for only showing stock you have. There was another menu I found confusing but... I can't even find it right now! lol So take that for what it's worth? haha But overall I'm having a blast with this game.
Does this mean that your viceroy character and your Aunt are immortal? The entire cycle takes decades, and i am bunch of decades in. I always thought your character changes from time to time, but now with the home and family that will not change, it seems like maybe they are immortal. But im maybe being too serious about a game. I would appreciate the aunt telling us some lore about the traders that visit you. They deserve some character development.
Having a character system would be badass. You have a total war/crusader kings style dynasty and new characters with new traits take over :o Imagine having to accept you are going to play an "imbecile" for 60 ingame years xD
Very good question! You, the Viceroy, and Aunt Lori are not immortal, but years last shorter in the world of Against the Storm. I totally agree that Traders deserve more in-game lore and I can already tell that you will be able to learn more about them from Aunt Lori (not in this particular Update, but in the near future). Yay!

Hype to see this game further unfold, lore is very welcome!
More Lore? THANK YOU!
I think Lori might have incurred the queens wrath sometimes in the past 🤔🔥

cool idea. while you're at it why not add a housing thingy, like just a static map you can decorate and place trophies and whatnot 👀
Eremite Games, take a bow!
I have never been in a dialogue... And played for 100 hours 🤣
So, I had to accept the deeds. Didn't know what to do with them. Had like 44 deeds waiting.
Is there any chance this will come out on consoles, has that been discussed before?
We would to release Against the Storm on consoles one day but there are no confirmed plans yet. Keep your fingers crossed!
