Very nicely explained and presented. Although I'm not sure I agree on variance being the difference between planned and actual. I would say variance is the difference between actual and standard cost estimate at the time of goods receipt?
I meant the std cost being the planned cost. Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you very much for sharing the knowledge. And I have one question, what is the WIP in this scenario?
WIP is the defined as the Work In Process which is calculated as the total planned qty in the order with the total manufactured/GR qty. The difference between these two elements is considered as WIP or WIP qty. Lets say the order qty is 10pcs, where only 7pcs are manufactured till date..so the WIP qty here is 3pcs which makes the order to be in WIP until the total order qty is manufactured.

You cannot see the strategy type in the sales order but you can see the requirements type to understand if it’s an MTO or MTS.
