Luckily, Kafka solves the only two key problems in distributed systems: 2) Exactly-once delivery, 1) Guaranteed order of messages, 2) Exactly-once delivery. 😉
I would be very grateful and I think not only me for the material devoted to comparing different branches of apache program , this is apache bream, kafka apache, apache airflow and where these particular branches should be used.Anyway thanks for video
She doesn't haha. it's a transparent board, the camera is on one side, she's at the other side writing normally. Obviously from the perspective of the camera, she would be writing backwards, so the video is flipped horizontally.
Excellent Illustration on what the Kafka does. or what is Kafka. Appreciate your time spreading your knowledge for a very very beginner like me who just wanted to know what Kafka does. Thanks again. Mat.
I so love IBM's lightboard experience, But wait who draws those images so nicely, doesn't seem like the same person writing, I think it takes more time than is shown in the video.
Very awesome and excellent Illustration on what the Kafka does. or what is Kafka. Appreciate your time spreading your knowledge for a very much beginner like me who just wanted to know what Kafka does. Really thank you so much again. Mat.
Thank you Whitney for the simple yet effective description about Kafka. What was more intriguing for me was that were you really writing the text from right to left or is it in someway a mirrored image of yours :) ?
I e Horisontally Flipped video of teacher writing from behind a highly transparent non-reflective glass window. Left-right light sources only to enhance the invisibility of the writable glass.
This was a fantastic overview, thank you. Question: how does IBM record these videos? I love the reverse white board, any insights someone can share? What board/software is used to create videos like this?
Thanks for the appreciation, Dustin! As for how we film our videos, we shared some behind the scenes on the Community page, check it out here 👉 ibm.co/2TTQAvW 😉

Would Kafka be considered connector to design cicd frameworks? Kubernetes etc. control plane. So much in there and loved the ending great video thanks. Keep Kafka safe.
I don't get the part with email, shipment and inventory integration. You say apache Kafka gets rid of hard coding but if those are services owned by third parties how will they listen to our checkout component?
I found about number of consumer is limit by number of topic partition and I not found solution for auto scale partition on the fly in case that deploy consumer with k8s and set HPA for auto scale consumer application
The speaker writes on the glass normally and then we flip the video in post-production. That also explains the unusually high percentage of left-handed presenters for these videos.
I am more impressed that she wrote on the invisible board backwards rather than about the Kafka itself. Bravo!
She wrote normal the video is mirrored
It's mirroed you imbecile. If you've seen any of these videos 90% of the people are ' left' handed.
@@kossboss don't ruin the magic for the other children!
@@kossboss Grrrr you did ruin it for me
Whitney is so fun!! I love how patiently she explains these complex tools
This is clear and concise. Brilliant!
Also, great use of the layered after-effects (animations, component boxes, etc.).
Thanks for the great feedback and thanks for watching! 💙
Her backwards writing is on point! Good grief! The explanation is fire, but that writing skill is alien!
her videos are the best ones from the cloud series!
IBM tech vids are some of the most crisp and info dense our there
Just what I was looking for, a concise and effective explanation of when to use Kafka, thanks!
Yeah, it was a very clear explanation.
Good clear explanation with no unnecessary jargon or cruft. Thank you!
Above all, i love her skill of being able to write in mirror images so that we can easily read.
i wonder how well written her notes might be. Simply love her lectures ❤❤
The most engaging presentation by the IBM technology. Thanks to the presenter and the technologist who did those interactive animations.
I've been using IBM courses to learn Data Engineering. I really appreciate this video and the ability to leverage these tools through IBM Cloud. 😊

Phenomenal presentation. The IBM developers break things down so perfectly and can really feel their passion for what they do.
What was used to make this video? I really like how she's able to draw/write while facing the camera
Best Explanation Channel for IT topics... Thanks :)

Best explaination of Kafka. Thank you so much. Just the way I understand
Very concise, clear and exhaustive overview. Thanks!
Can anyone tell what software they are using here...How are the texts written by her is being reflected on the screen?
Brilliant Explanation. Thanks a lot.
Is the source not emitting the event for everyone else to stream? The terminologies are very confusing
Unrelated question, just how does the board show us the correct angle while you are writing it from your side?
Such a clear and concise explanation of a complex subject. Thank You.
This is very crisp and informative
I would be very grateful and I think not only me for the material devoted to comparing different branches of apache program , this is apache bream, kafka apache, apache airflow and where these particular branches should be used.Anyway thanks for video
anyone noticed she writes in reverse for herself or is it just me? Literally that's the one thing I got impressed with!
Search on "lightboard videos"
@@IBMTechnology Thanks!
You're an awesome teacher Whitney!
Great video. Would be nice for the squeaking on the board to be fixed
Just trying to understand how you can write backwards and have good handwriting at the same time, ha ha
She doesn't haha. it's a transparent board, the camera is on one side, she's at the other side writing normally. Obviously from the perspective of the camera, she would be writing backwards, so the video is flipped horizontally.
I believe she has to start on the left for us to perceive it starting on the right.
how the heck does she write and talls about other stuff in the same time! Is that jedhi shit?
she’s a da vinci descendant
Relativity, perception and Kafka
Thanks for this nice and great overview.

Great edition! Those animations make it easy to understand.
Excellent Video. Very Clear, Informative and logical. Great job.
Good Overview of Kafka streaming platform.
Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it! 🙌
Thank you Whitney for the simple yet effective description about Kafka. What was more intriguing for me was that were you really writing the text from right to left or is it in someway a mirrored image of yours :) ?
All videos of this kind are mirrored after being filmed

was real smooth 👍
Clear explanation and well given real time examples to make Kafka more understandable 👍
I'm a newbee in backend and it's no clear difference for me between RabbitMQ and Kafka. When to use each of them?
I found about number of consumer is limit by number of topic partition and I not found solution for auto scale partition on the fly in case that deploy consumer with k8s and set HPA for auto scale consumer application
Great overview, if this were say Kafka 101 I would like to see the next iteration done this way. !
Great explanation. Clear and Consise - Thank you!
what are the differences in use case between kafka and message brokers (rabbitMQ)?
The scratching sound on the board...
Wow that was amazing. Thank you Mam, I learnt a lot here.
good explanation ! thanks !
simple and really great explanations, thank you so much Mam.. 👍
Thanks for such an simple and informative presentation!
If you are writing on the other side of the board, then how can you write flipped text? Did you do any practice?
The speaker writes on the glass normally and then we flip the video in post-production. That also explains the unusually high percentage of left-handed presenters for these videos.
Thank you for this wonderful explanation.
