Yeah. Usually you see people wiping to a perfectly pulled Rattlegore + Add (after having ideas such as using a Hunter Pet as Off Tank for the add) but they successfully dealt with Rattlegore + 2 Adds after being split up. That was really cool :D

@@immagonko4261 Yes, you just can't create portals in combat. But at the start of the clip the mage wasn't so he had plenty of time. There are lots of clips of mages pre-portaling in case of dangerous quests and the group surviving because of it.

He made himself oom, he 100% killed himself there, even if you accept him playing as terrible as he did and wastes all his mana on Arcane Explosion, he can still drink a health potion and not die.

on all of my toons, i have an extra combat-bar that my characters use as an "out-of-combat" action-bar for things like Mount-up, Fishing, Professions, etc: It is accessed via shift+mousewheel up/down and shares the same keybinds as the Main-Actionbar. On my Mage, I also have portals located there: Which means that those Portals are also keybound for quicker access: Altho, admittedly, I have never actually had to use them for a scenario like this here. Because in Vanilla, it was faster to just run back after a wipe. But such a setup could have worked beautifully here.
Apparently, that portal lasts for one minute: So, if a group wanted to take the extra time & precautions, then a mage could cast portal before or as the tank is pulling & building up threat (as a fail-safe).
Imagine being an alliance warrior and risking doing WW axe quest at low levels when you can just get bonebiter in like 5 levels which is a better weapon lmao
8 lvls, you can get ww axe at 30 if carried, higher obviously without help. bonebiter can't be gotten till 38 without being carried. Think 34 is earliest you can get bonebiter with being carried. Either way both axes require being carried till around high 30s.

Classic WoW is such a strange game. While leveling up and doing simple tasks, you're going to need to learn to kite, learn the reset mechanics, prepare consumables, professions, do all this back jumping tech, know how to reset a mob, which quests to avoid and have a planned leveling route. Not to mention dungeons... But then you do that for 500 hours, hit 60 and your next biggest challenges will be frogger and walking in a predetermined pattern on the floor. While doing a damage rotation that is likely approaching an amount of buttons taken on one hand. Even outside of hardcore, it blows me away that people will spend hours and hours preparing and grinding consumes and God knows what else so that instead of doing the old raid in 57 minutes, they finish it in 51. And they expect others to do the same. People kill onyxia with like 5-10 people. Why does anyone care who the hell they're bringing, if they're 60? You could have like 2 heals and a tank, toss in 30 DPS off the streets and be fine

The norm is precisely the average: some play better, and some play worse, and clearly, these warriors fall into the latter category - as you yourself suggested by saying they don't meet the norm. The mage then leashed them for whatever reason, either deliberately or because he needed to run away and abort the AOE, and so they all came at the warrior once the mage got dropped off the threat table.
