9:01 Which is Ironic considering that's what she makes us do when you try to tell Kieran, if anything this entire situation is her fault. It's not even the Players fault because the game actively pushes you to lie and Gaslight Kieran when you don't want to.
I had an ENTIRE rant about this when I finally played through the DLCs to this point. It made me furiously hate Carmine. I do not like Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss Carmine.
That’s why I can’t never understand why people like Carmine. It’s her idea to gaslight her little brother, which makes his clearly bad mental health (something about his submissiveness to his sister doesn’t sit well with me) even worse. So to me, Kieran isn’t funny, because they’re basically saying someone who went through a lot of trauma and is trying to cope with it funny. TLDR: I was happy that GF gave me an option to effectively say, “No I don’t fucking like you,” to Carmine in Indigo Disk.
I will agree that it is Carmine's fault, but I also agree that Kieran would not have taken missing the ogre very well. He already feels suppressed by her older sister's aggressive personality, and he's slightly bothered by our strength surpassing his own. Learning that both of these got to see Ogerpon, but he didn't, wouldn't have gone well. And since Carmine is so naturally aggressive, even her expressions of affection also comes out very aggressive, which easily rubs people the wrong way, and to family would feel like she was pushing them away. His grandpa was right that he wasn't old enough to handle the ogre's true story. But unfortunately, he learned about it anyway on top of learning that we saw the ogre. So when Carmine realizes this, she pulls back on her aggression, realizing she needs to exercise restrain if she wants her true feelings to come across. That's why I love her despite everything.
She's just trying to protect him. Keep in mind that Kieran actively stalks Ogerpon's cave, and Ogerpon is considered to be a huge threat to the village at this point. She knew he would try to chase it down and didn't want him to get hurt.
I am currently creating a living dex of all the Pokemon in Scar/Vio and I can personally confirm that there are 682 unique Pokemon in the dexes (400 Paldea, 101 Kitakami & 181 Blueberry) and 28 Pokemon that you can get that are NOT in the dex (Snacksworth legends + Perrserker for some reason) meaning there are 710 Pokemon in total.
@Lilacality Just for the record, I can confirm there are actually 679 unique pokémon in the dexes. This does not include: - Perrserker - Any other regional form that isn't necessary for dex completion (like Alolan Exeggutor, Galarian Weezing or Hisuian Growlithe) - Snackworth Legendaries - Paradox Suicune and Paradox Virizion - And Pecharunt I don't regret doing a living dex just to confirm this information
Watching Alpha's in game screenshots of his character during specific moments of the game, made me remember how i went and wore a biker helmet during the entirety of my run and i dont remember how i customized my character's face. Huh.
so fun fact about the Teal Mask, if you don't progress through the main story of S/V the legendary Ogre Pon will be lvl 15 instead of the lvl majority of people got her AFTER beating S/V story. As for Blueberry Academy, it's meant to be played after beating S/V. You cannot try and get any pokemons here low level, they are all high levels. This also make Blue Berry Academy the one pokemon game where the Elite 4 and Champion do not hold back when picking the item hold and move set for their main pokemons. This is also the highest level pokemon we've seen trainers have rivaling that of Red's Pikachu right down to fighting Cynthia in B/W.
Honestly, Meloetta's capture method is super cute. In Black and White to get her dancer form you have to take her to an alleway cafe where a musician plays her a song and mentions that the relic song is a sepia toned memory. In Scarlet and Violet you have to play the relic song with a sepia filter and she appears.
There now being a Shiny Meloetta event for getting a Living Dex of all the Pokemon in the game is going to make me try and complete the a Living Dex for future Pokemon titles
But he could just have caught them himself though. You need a player with the other edition and go to the spot in Zone 0 where they are and you can just catch them. It's only a bit harder since you can't see other players there but it still works.
Well I mean there's the ALOLAN meowth you can get in this game too by doing the BB academy league club coach invitation thing (you have to first unlock Salvatore and then invite him THREE TIMES, battle him, and then trade for the alolan meowth)
27:16 imagine seeing your worst enemies downfall. And you’re just so amazed, you need to compensate the one responsible with one of the most valuable things in your world
31:38 "The whole point of this entire epilogue campaign is to make sure you donyt entirely hate Kieran" Wait? Who hates Kieran? Hes literally the one character this gen that has had the least hate! The only hate I've seen from him since the DLCs released was for the first because people were complaining he's a shota!
@@Gearheart8 for a very brief tldr. Ace is a character from one piece who consumed something that made his body like fire. He was killed by someone who ate a fruit that made his body like magma. its a joke that Ace died to "hotter fire". Also Alpha is a huge One Piece fan so he has these kinds of jokes often.
You forgot about the fact that when you invite Mr. Salvatore (the language teacher) Into the blueberry academy 3 times (and battle him 2/3 times) When you talk to him the 3rd time he will trade you an Alolan Meowth
0:56 Alpherad: "Like there is an Entire secret rare Pokémon in the base game that's not in the Pokedex that I swear nobody actually knows about." *Meanwhile I'm just sitting here looking at my Galarian Perrserker in my boxes*
Unrelated to your comment but I just need to say how much I love how much the ISAT profile pics are spreading around. I love the game because I relate to most of the characters a lot, especially Siffrin, which is probably something to be concerned about but oh well.
32:44 I think it's because those are the legendaries that you can get in games that connect to pokemon home, making it pretty easy to get multiple on your team. Regice, Regirock, Registeel, Regigigas, Heatran, Thundorus, Landorus, Thundorus, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina (and Darkrai but he's not on the graphic) can all be found in Legends Arceus, Zacian and Zamazenta are obviously found in sword and shield, and Mewtwo can be found in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu & Eevee.
The game hates Keiran so much that it made his Master Ball fail to catch a Pokemon. I repeat: THE MASTER BALL, A POKEBALL SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO NEVER EVER FAIL A CATCH NO MATTER WHAT, FAILED FOR HIM. That some next-level cosmic fuckery right there.
So for the shiny meloetta, you do not need to create a living dex in home. You just need to have the Paldean version of that pokemon to have been in home at least once. For me, since I was shiny hunting everything, I'd actually transferred a lot of my mons from Scarlet over to Violet, and I only have the free version of home so I'd chuck 30 in and then take 30 out. As it turns out, I was only about 200 away from the complete dex in home, so I went around catching a bunch of stuff I was missing, stuck it in, and then took it out again. My pokemon home was essentially empty when I got the meloetta mystery gift
The Meloetta shiny thing is so ridiculous. It's not just a living dex in home. It's a living dex in home ALL CAUGHT IN SCARLET AND VIOLET! I have had the dex completed for months, but no chance am I recatching every single pokemon in the dex again... But I mean, it's for Miku tho so ...
The requirements for shiny meloetta are so much worse than just needing a living dex in Home. I have a living dex in Home but some of them are from previous gen games, so they don't count. Like my Kanto starters came from Fire Red and Lets Go. Since they weren't caught in and transferred from Scarlet/Violet, they don't count.
12:06 i love alpharad but oh my GOD does he not understand any of the story of SV. genuinely feels like he's not reading any of the text sometimes, cuz like. first it was the whole penny stuff and now i. idk
Turns out all the movie villains whose whole schtick is "I WILL ENSLAVE LEGENDARY X BECAUSE SOMETHING EVIL SOMETHING" got their legendary-attracting items from Snacksworth.
33:33 "Did people know about this?! He's just been in the game this whole time!" I knew! I actually enjoyed doing the classes in this game, surprisingly. It was a lot of fun getting to know the teachers. That, and I've done like just about everything this game has to offer and I'm still playing it, because I genuinely love it that much.
I’m playing Violet myself and I had to “get creative” to get Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire too lol. I’m planning to go through Scarlet at some point though. As for Perrserker I did all the school stuff throughout the base game and got the Meowth fairly early. I’m glad I did it as it became available because it’s a pain in the ass haha
Am I only the only one who didn't catch them all in the earlier games? I never even got a Shiny Charm until Legends Arceus. I just caught my favorites.
Legends Arceus is the first and probably only Pokemon game where I ever even considered catching them all. I never caught a shiny until I randomly got a shiny Moltres in Dynamax Adventures and was really confused why it looked sunburned

In Scarlet and Violet you have to play the relic song with a sepia filter and she appears.
Thank you for making the editing a lot milder in this video. This is watchable.
Kieran just could not catch a break, he got destroyed in every battle
2:28 there’s even an aplin but we’ll save this mystery mouskatool for later had me dying 😂
I was just thinking that 😭
Pokemon: Releases shiny meloetta event where you have to complete all 3 Pokédex’s.
Alpharad:
There now being a Shiny Meloetta event for getting a Living Dex of all the Pokemon in the game is going to make me try and complete the a Living Dex for future Pokemon titles
18:23 the "mocking kieran" quick time event got me fucked up lmao
Your storytelling is 10/10 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
4:57 Pal world but mobile (also known as a nockoff, I’m joking)
Don’t this is just mobile pal world
27:26 I love how so many people including myself had the exact same idea 😂
Every time Kieran showed up in the Indigo Disc, I would pull out my phone and start playing the Imperial March from Star Wars.
This is hilarious. I wish I had thought of that when I played the DLC with my sister. She would've lost it.
27:47 I dont know what anyone else is talking about, these are totally legitimate means of catching Pokémon
And you’re just so amazed, you need to compensate the one responsible with one of the most valuable things in your world
31:38 "The whole point of this entire epilogue campaign is to make sure you donyt entirely hate Kieran"
Wait? Who hates Kieran? Hes literally the one character this gen that has had the least hate! The only hate I've seen from him since the DLCs released was for the first because people were complaining he's a shota!
Hello one of those people who hates Kieran here
5:23 so mobile palworld? Neat
It looks like they have some original pals too
@@kennethxu1789 and some of them look like rip offs of the rip offs. Which is hilarious.
Dude its literally a rip-off of palworld
@@Reaper_Guy-dd3ef so a rip off of a rip off
Ong just a bootleg version of a rip off…. into a mobile game. How fitting could it be
21:44 hey there, put some respect on my man’s name. He is NOT a stapler. He’s a staple remover
Finally, someone, that I liked watching, play the dlcs and make it into a video.
“Let me give you the cliff notes”
As if the dlc hasn’t been out for about a year now😭
The ace joke at 16:37 was insane
I feel dumb cause I don't get it. What's the correlation between being weak to fire and being ace?
@@Gearheart8it's a One Piece reference
@@Gearheart8 for a very brief tldr. Ace is a character from one piece who consumed something that made his body like fire. He was killed by someone who ate a fruit that made his body like magma. its a joke that Ace died to "hotter fire". Also Alpha is a huge One Piece fan so he has these kinds of jokes often.
Mudkip TANKING that Ice Spinner feels absolutely DIABOLICAL but feels SO right at the same time lol
kierans whole arc is even funnier with the fact that he turns into an onion. his hair makes him look like an onion
Pokémon: now with gaslighting and reality tv show plot lines
You forgot about the fact that when you invite Mr. Salvatore (the language teacher) Into the blueberry academy 3 times (and battle him 2/3 times) When you talk to him the 3rd time he will trade you an Alolan Meowth
Oh thanks I didn’t know this
0:56
Alpherad: "Like there is an Entire secret rare Pokémon in the base game that's not in the Pokedex that I swear nobody actually knows about."
*Meanwhile I'm just sitting here looking at my Galarian Perrserker in my boxes*
Alpharad being confused by the number of Pokemon makes so much sense actually.
Unrelated to your comment but I just need to say how much I love how much the ISAT profile pics are spreading around.
I love the game because I relate to most of the characters a lot, especially Siffrin, which is probably something to be concerned about but oh well.
@@JustSomeGuyWithoutSeasoning Huzzah!
Wait, Palworld got sued and someone said "cool, let's do that again but with a mobile game." 😂
Bro’s trying to hype up his mudkip like it even holds candle to Smallant’s wooper.
0:47 Don’t forget all the HOME transfer exclusives that don’t appear in any pokedex
Counterpoint: dynamaxadventures
@@Jupue I think it had to do with the ones involved with the story in some way
I feel bad for kieran, he fr went through entire villain arc only to get wiped.
I love his character, it's funny and interesting.
if anything we're the villains
2:40 ‘Flaccid Peace Sign’ is Something I’d never Expected I’d Hear, Despite being Exposed to so much in my Life.
being sponsored by knock off palworld mobile slop is next level insane
I love that catching Ogerpon in a Friend Ball is also apparently a canon event
The fact that you're even able to describe Miraibo's creatures as "Pal-like" instead of "Pokemon-like" is so wild to me
This is a fantastic persona 5 royal video! Hopefully sephiroth is in the next one!
Can't wait for him to defeat the ender dragon too!
I’m loving these mobile gaming videos!
Honestly alpha should do a video where he tries complete the persona compendium in every game
What are you talking about, this is an MGRR video. You don't see Solid Snake plastered all over this video?
Alpha really got sponsored by the game that looked at palworld and went "what if it was genshin impact?"
No joke I finished watching your last Pokédex video, refreshed the page, and saw this video
19:52 Pokémon has been introducing children to gambling since the beginning of the franchise!
Terrapagos pulled a Whiscash
technically the masterball worked it is just that it got destryoed by Terapagos when he tried to recall it.
That is NOT what happened, bro caught it but it destroyed the ball when he tried to return it.
Love how in both this video and the naming all pokemon video there is a split second focus on Furret and I immediately get the song stuck in my head
Kieran needs a hug. Lil bro got done dirty.
Ya. This video accurate with lying to the kid the whole time. And getting no choice in that.
4:43 yea “pal like” I wonder what this game is based on
Fun fact: Including Pokemon you can only get by transferring, the total amount of Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet is 733.
How funny that this video was posted right when I got back into catching all pokemon in legends
I've been playing Pokemon recently too, despite having finished these Dexs AGES ago, but Shiny Meloetta wants more from me.
No no no Alpha, Macha Gacha is a fusion of Giga Drain and Scald that is a spread move
Palworld: *Gets sued by Nintendo*
Miraibo GO: "It's free real estate!"
Scarlet was the first time I completed the Pokédex. I did it for all the DLC too. It’s more meditative than I thought it would be
i know. first time i'd done it since gen 3 since...you know...Arceus was basically japan exclusive without cheating until SDBP...
I thought catching meloetta just required all Pokémon from the SV dexes, not an entire living dex
Rip to alpharad’s soul during this challenge
I’ve played through SV multiple times and legitimately did not know until this video that Galarian Meowth was obtainable in the base game.
4:36 wow how incredibly unique and definitely not a copycat cash grab ✨️
So, if something i'm glad Alolan Persian doesn't count. The only way to have this one without breeding is bringing Salvatore to BB and then trade.
12:06 i love alpharad but oh my GOD does he not understand any of the story of SV.
genuinely feels like he's not reading any of the text sometimes, cuz like. first it was the whole penny stuff and now i. idk
reall😢😢😢😢😢😢
It's pokemon story's not worth caring about
@@hohnmagna6903 if you dont like the story, maybe dont play the rpg full of story lol
No way he went on a whole tangent talking up the ogerpon fight as the hardest in the game and then just skipped over the terapagos fight.
23:50 it’s even funnier knowing what’s about to happen.
Turns out all the movie villains whose whole schtick is "I WILL ENSLAVE LEGENDARY X BECAUSE SOMETHING EVIL SOMETHING" got their legendary-attracting items from Snacksworth.
“Hello I’m Alpharad and Today I will be catching one of every human.”
omg omg blueberry academy is sooo goooood! The fact that they use the old black and white instruments is just so cool!
The fact that Alpharad took a sponsor that’s a copy of a copy is hilarious to me.
33:33
"Did people know about this?! He's just been in the game this whole time!"
I knew! I actually enjoyed doing the classes in this game, surprisingly. It was a lot of fun getting to know the teachers.
That, and I've done like just about everything this game has to offer and I'm still playing it, because I genuinely love it that much.
I still don't know why we had to lie to kieran but its really fucking funny to gaslight this child into a joker arc.
I needs to be studied how good Jacob is at writing scripts that make him sound like an alien trying to pass as a human
"Did you catch 'em all?"
"..."
"What did it cost?"
"..."
No you’re not the only one
