Even if you have auto grind turned off you can get still get into different grinds and slides if you have pressure on one of the feet. Many different ways to get into grinds.
Both games have their good and not so good about them. But in Session, yes, you can do late tricks, and pressure flips. The replay editor in Session is more full featured, allowing for fisheye lenses and slow motion, but it is also buggy and can crash the game a lot. Also transition and grabs are not implemented well, right now.

Also with this, you can decide if you want to rocket your board during flips and etc. There's also a "skate guide" in the options menu that will show you inputs for each trick.
You can light spots up in session, go to the object dropper and choose the lights... also in the controller settings you can pretty much control anything including turning with the trigger... and when you skate on manual catch the board flips and spins depending on where you put your feet and when you how much you pop.

This is sick. Going into the options you can choose legacy mode in session that makes the left stick turn and gives you classic skate controls on the right. The catch mechanic is burried there too alongside some other gems for adjusting difficulty and feel
You can go into object dropper by getting off your board and hitting LB. This lets you drop your own terrain and also construction lights to light up spots at night like the ledge.

Y’all need to get the PC version of SXL and play it with mods. It makes the game 100% better. Plus more maps.
it makes the game good* cuz on vanilla its not good at all its terrible 🤣
Ghosty I mean it’s pretty decent without I guess. I have it on PS4 as well and as long as you don’t high pop you can still get decent clips. But I otherwise agree with that sentiment lol. WE ARE LOOKIN AT YOU EASY DAY. WHERE ARE THE UPDATES
@@ChariotFighter you can get clips the problem is the game doesnt feel right. why is the gravity so low you ollie like you're on the moon. They can fix that by adding game difficulties like: Easy - current game stats | Normal - A bit harder than what they are now | Hardcore: Ultimate realistic like most people play on pc. Also they can simply add a create a park feature that players can at least make their own maps in game. It's a 40 dollar game there is 0 reasons on why its so that empty! Easy day you better give people what they deserve for paying you 40$ for an unfinished mess
Ghosty I feel that my friend. I was a bit perplexed when I saw it’s price honestly. I bought it in early access so I got it for around $20. Which for what it was then i found to be kind of steep. Then they dropped the 1.0, and have been fuckin SILENT since. Disappointed to say the least. Not to shamelessly plug my channel, but if you like edits check it out bro. I just put up a new transition edit that I’m pretty proud of. Lol. Otherwise take care🤙🤙🤙
skater XL is in version 1.0... Session is like 0.0.0.5 alpha and still a lot of changes even in physics will come later.
I don't know if comparing makes sense
SXL on PC is a whoooooole different experience, thats why yall need a pc lol. you can pressure flip, impossible, late flip and all that with the mods. Skater Xl with mods blows session out the water. with out mods, i still like SXL more. But i still play and like session but its just not smooth to me. still has alot of work to be done on it. this is just my opinion tho
@@snoozydonuts lol yeah they do theyre really poorly implemented. easy day needs to just put them in the actual game, they should just do it how session does it and call it a day
@@snoozydonuts uh, not really but ok. its different for each person depending on how they do it or have their legs set to look. more or less "steez" boned or not. and they cant do it like session does cause SXL its actually physics based. Session said it was going to be, but its not. they're predetermined animations with maybe 2-3 different forms of it.
A session mod for controls would make most sence.. When it is mirrored
Has Mike been hanging out with Eldridge?
