Gordon is by far my favourite chef. He's gone to so much trouble to learn from locals all over the world. I approve of Uncle Roger approving of Uncle Gordon!
I mean, if any non-asian chef was going to get Uncle Roger's approval, it would be Gordon. If you watch any of his shows where he travels around he always goes out of his way to speak to the local chefs, both celebrity restaurant chefs and the street food vendors, he tries their food, learns from them, helps them in their kitchens etc. so it's clear he actually wants to learn how to do things authentically first before he put his own spin on it, that's the mark of a chef who's not only good at what he does, but humble enough to recognise there's always so much more for him to learn
I feel like Uncle Roger found his soulmate in Gordon Ramsay: they both love meat, hate vegetarians/vegans, like to criticize/yell at customers, and hate Jamie Oliver.

One thing that impresses me about Gordon and why I think he's a real chef and not just a TV celebrity is that he takes well to constructive criticism, and he really does try his best to learn how to do it authentically, few people in the world are like this.

It's the funniest thing! Every time I play that part, he shouts it! "CHANGE THE WOK!" I think I need to teach him how to make proper egg fried rice like Uncle Roger!
The accuracy of the statement: "many asian people have two kitchen, outdoor kitchen and indoor kitchen. Indoor kitchen is useless, only to impress guests." hahahahahaha i died. I just made breakfast in our outdoor kitchen which can only be accessed by our household or family because outdoor kitchen is really ugly, while indoor kitchen is sparkly clean.
the most you will do is make instant noodle in the inside kitchen, but after awhile you will still just use the outdoor kitchen cause all the good wok and pot is there.

“You cooking fried rice like you late for airport”
-Uncle Rogers
i think he is late for airport probably trying to cook in the last hour he visited there xD
Well if you go to the airport from there u need 2,5 until 3 hour to reach the airport.
That's ingrained in professional chefs to cook like a time bomb is going off in a few minutes unless the dish is ready and perfect. Chefs and cooks work like nurses in an emergency room. But a bit more messy.
Seems like Gordon Ramsay is the “ Hero “ who saves the reputations of British chef. And therefore, he earns the title of “ Uncle Gordon” Good job , 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

in the philippines we use "Hay Nako!" as disappointment.

As Thai, we can use "ไอ้เหี้ย"(Ai Hea) in both meaning.
