If you watch any of his shows where he travels around he always goes out of his way to speak to the local chefs, both celebrity restaurant chefs and the street food vendors, he tries their food, learns from them, helps them in their kitchens etc. so it's clear he actually wants to learn how to do things authentically first before he put his own spin on it, that's the mark of a chef who's not only good at what he does, but humble enough to recognise there's always so much more for him to learn

I'm not an Indonesian but a Malaysian, even so, as an Asian, I can vouch for the fact that all of us uses leftover rice to cook fried rice, my family has never ever cook any fresh rice just to make fried rice, we just take whatever rice we didn't finish the night yesterday and just fry it in the morning
as a white guy, fuck yeah. Fresh rice is cooked for freshness, leftovers go in the fridge. later I use that rice in a fried rice dish to simply eat the remainder of the rice. It is easy math.
Yeah, we do it practically all the time with leftover rice, and we add spam and whatever leftover meat we have from dinner the previous night and some chives, then we stir-fry it. Our maid is pretty much a master at it at this point-
We use leftover rice to make garlic rice and pair it with other breakfast items such as egg and spam. Garlic Rice with Egg and Deep Fried Bangus early in the morning is my comfort food.
Gorden Ramsey is the one chef you can't just judge quick. He knows what he's doing. He's the one chef out there on tv who isn't just a celebrity he deserves to be called a chef. He researchs hard before learning another countrys dishes too. He's a master chef

The accuracy of the statement: "many asian people have two kitchen, outdoor kitchen and indoor kitchen. Indoor kitchen is useless, only to impress guests." hahahahahaha i died. I just made breakfast in our outdoor kitchen which can only be accessed by our household or family because outdoor kitchen is really ugly, while indoor kitchen is sparkly clean.

I'm not an Indonesian but a Malaysian, even so, as an Asian, I can vouch for the fact that all of us uses leftover rice to cook fried rice, my family has never ever cook any fresh rice just to make fried rice, we just take whatever rice we didn't finish the night yesterday and just fry it in the morning
same dude when i ask for fried rice my would say no cuz there's no left over rice also yes im from indonesia
srry i meant to say my mom
as a white guy, fuck yeah.

The Indonesians clearly taught him pretty well, unlike the previous chefs.
Though some people criticize the chef who taught Uncle Gordon (William Wongso) for not being native Indonesian, which is pathetic.
William Wongso himself is a senior chef which has years of knowledge and experience of Indonesian cuisine, worth as the "ambassador" of Indonesian cuisine. Even the governor (who is native Minang) tasted both rendangs for himself.
Yes.. The original video is from gordon ramsay uncharted when he came to Indonesia.. He did a collab with Indonesian legendary chef William Wongso.. That's where he got his lesson from..

“Inside kitchen” & “outside kitchen” is so relatable 😊
The accuracy of the statement: "many asian people have two kitchen, outdoor kitchen and indoor kitchen. Indoor kitchen is useless, only to impress guests." hahahahahaha i died. I just made breakfast in our outdoor kitchen which can only be accessed by our household or family because outdoor kitchen is really ugly, while indoor kitchen is sparkly clean.
the most you will do is make instant noodle in the inside kitchen, but after awhile you will still just use the outdoor kitchen cause all the good wok and pot is there.
