They made it feel like an actual fleshed out and complete weapon in Rise and I love it. It always felt incomplete and severely neglected to me and I'm happy they gave it all this cool stuff, especially spinning reaper.
@@Nojisoul @Noji kun lance with the valor shield advance mixed with adept guard with a spammable hunter art counter from GU is probably the most W it'll get unless they add back switch skills in some sort of different mechanic for future games. Sword and shield usually means wielding one weapon and a defensive tool. In Monster Hunter it's just dual-wielding but one of the weapons happens to look like a shield.
At 1:14 the way your character just happened to jump onto one hand and up to the other arm walking up Goss was so dope! This video has inspired me to try out SnS and many of your videos have inspired me to really try branching out to more weapons. I've always been a hammer guy. 🔨 😂
dude the counter sound is so satisfying... what am I even saying ?! everything is satisfying ! just as expected, at the end of each vid I just want more, it's not enough. amazing work once again keep it up
YES THIS WEAPON IS MY BABY! I love this weapon, been using it since I first got introduced to the series in Tri and haven't stopped, I love most of the weapons but SnS will always be my favorite
Your use of Windmill in this video inspired me to make elemental S&S builds. It wasn’t even hard to put together, and I even get to use Bloodlust and Redirection!
Ah, a fellow SnS connoisseur. I see that you discovered the Scaling Slash makes you invincible, as well. While the shield charge is a great silkbind, Falling Shadow is quite amazing as well.
YES, love for my boi, sns! Beautiful execution, as always. Also, Timin on the windmill in 0:16 is just a chef's kiss. I stay strongly with ninja tree due to a 100% affinity but as I go on scorned magna soon, I think it might be worth going for elemental options as well
I love how the day after I figure out the guard slash is worth doing, this video pops up, using it constantly. Thanks for all the fresh ideas to incorporate into my hunts!
It’s when you block and attack with a sword at the same time, you will have a few frames of guard point and if you time it with the monster attack, you will trigger a perfect rush
it's a genuine point of pride that when I'm locked-in and really feeling the force my S&S is about this good. it's by far the most satisfying weapon to really nail down for me, it's a real joy to see someone showing off just how enjoyable the guard point/counter S&S feels
Its good to see they finally made SS able to defend. Always seemed a little silly to have a shield and not want to block with it. I use CB and stay in shield most the time cause I love block, but I can't stand how slow lances move. This might get me to give SS a go.
Gonna pick this game up now with the steam sale and cant wait to get back into this game. Ive been a long time player since the mhfu days. I’ve played using every main weps so far and think with this game this will be my wep of choice along hammer and gs
Bro wth!!! The SnS seems like he has a completely different moveset I will try to use this build, very good video! I know i came a year late but still better late than never.
Hope you do a Gunlance is Beautiful! With the new Shelling augmentation buff, Gunlance variety will be greater than it ever was for Sunbreak, need more positive vibes in the Gunlance community!
As a new player to the series and starting off with SnS because it's beginner friendly, I've honed my skills as a hunter and have became a beast with this weapon
As a Bow/SnS/Hammer main, and yes I do use them equally, more or less. I am so happy with SnS in Rise/Sunbreak. This is the most satisfying so far. The ceiling is the sky with it and I am just getting better and better at it. Though I do want to be able to do meme runs like we did back in MH:FU
Monster Hunter has never really been a super dynamic game historically. Moreso about playing around stiff animations/timings. Not to say the dynamic Rise stuff is bad by any means ofc
@@difs777Because the 30% left makes it staying in the Game (making some crazy ass Epic shit in hunts and then getting 2 mantles at the end of the hunt)
Oh my goodness, I'm sweating 0_0 (Not really, but I'm so happy that I recently, just today, got the motivation to pick up SnS. This video gives me high hopes of the potential of it and I'm excited!! I usually use Chargeblade, Switchaxe, Hammer, and Dual Blades in Rise.) (Edit: What are those skills? I'm tryna play like this too! I love the Charge Blade and I wanna have some viability with the SnS shield, aha.)
What a blast ! I was training with the SnS and this video is very appreciated on the aggressive and defensive aspect Could I know your combination of techniques for the two scrolls ?
Thanks ! I don't have particular pre defined scrolls, I adapt for every matchup and just choose the switch skills I feel is better against this or that monster
I have a content creator question: I notice that you used Xenoblade song in this video, was their any issues with you using it for this video? Did you ask for permission? BTW your content is incredible, especially the long sword one with Bury the Light. Awesome.
I ask the permission when I can, often the owner allows it as long as you credit them (not always though). I always credit them in description, its the least I can do Some other will allow but they will claim your video so they get the monetization It's a bit different for video game musics, it depends on each company
As a SnS main I would like to point out that the guard point is super difficult to pull off consistently. The guard point > rush > metsu, mmmmm so masterful.
ngl as an SNS main I'm not sure I can go back to another MH's rendition of SNS ever; metsu, twin slash, shield bash, spinning reaper, the list goes on
Same goes for Lance

Not under appreciated anymore. Shield n Sword is META again.

The Embolden skill has to be one of the best things to happen to SnS users
