This was fantastic! Such clear instructions! I was feeling totally overwhelmed by a lot of the Premiere Pro instructional videos out there, but you simplified it and made it easy! TYSM!🙏💖
This is the only video that went into enough detail and didn't assume that you just knew where things were. I watched 3 or 4 other videos where the detail wasn't good enough to get me through the project I'm doing but this video did and I've finished it. Thank you. Great video and actually useful for real beginners

Just started my youtube channel. I want to wait to get an actual green screen before adding a face cam. This video is really easy to follow!! 👍🏽
Thank you, clear directions and extensive so I can try using different approaches to successful finish.
Thank you so much for your excellent tutorial and expert guidance!! Super clear, concise and helpful! Much gratitude Nate!

Super Helpful!! Thank You!!
you are actual teacher....i learn preety much more from you and hope for more video like this ..
i literally got to 2:29 and that was all i needed for the hump i hit with this project. You're the MAN!
Best tutorial ive seen regading this technique
The audio with this mic -- I do believe it's a different mic -- sounds dry, almost raspy. Your tutorials before your "break" sounded warmer and closer. I know you like to know how to improve, so I thought I would pass this on. Otherwise, great chromakey tutorial. Thanks.
I want to say it's the acoustics in the new studio messing with it.
Great to know. I am working on knocking down the "wetness" of the space and adjusting the compressor settings I was using in the old space. I think the baseline where my compressor cuts the audio is too extreme and it's causing the raspy sound. When I fix the acoustics of this space, I'll be able to bring the bass of my voice back into the mic without all the reflected sound getting boosted as well.
Thanks for leaving the comment! We're going to make this space better and better together! 🍻
2:22, literally all I needed to know XD Man it sucks switching from Vegas Pro...
Im switching from Camtasia... Whole program feels like one big quantum equation.
I am new
Very helpful. Thank you!
Clear explanation and preview, thanks!
I had to come back and watch this again, I was getting artifacts and remembering the mask tool helped to clean it up. Thanks.
Thanks. That was a good quick set of tips.
4 Year later... and this information is STILL awesome... newbie at all of this, but planning ahead I wanted to incorporate green screen into some creative productions... this is awesome to keep in the back of my mind... you rock! Awesome content and totally gained a new sub!
Thank you for this excellent tutorial!
very helpful many thanks :)
Thanks 2 you i finished my school project
Thanks man this was pretty helpful
This video taught me how to Green Screen Chromakey Premiere Pro CC
Great tutorial man, Thank you!
at first i was thinking that a whole 10 minute video seems a little long to just green screen but this was really in depth
Thanks ...its a very good video " Easy to understand "
dude, tks, that was really good.
In order for everything you want for ultra key to be there you have to do window effects videos effects ultra key AND have effect controls open at the same time. There are effects and then there is effects control and they are not in the same place
this was so so helpful!! thank you! you told me even more than I expected
thank you for making this simple
This is great! Thanks!
Super educative. Thank you very kindly.
This is so helpful, thank you for being so thorough.
Thank you for this great tutorial. I'm definitely going to use this tutorial in the future!
Thanks man! Super helpful refresher
Thanks a lot for this video, It's helped me a bunch. However, I don't think you adressed the color correction problem. The right side of the frame, where you shut down the ultrakey effect has much more blueish et greenish tones. I think it comes from messing the overspill tool ? But it'd problably be solved by simply making a more precise mask on the effect, or changing the overspill on a different effect layer. I'm just ramblin' here. Anyway, thanks a bunch for this video ! Keep up the good work.
(Also, sorry if I come off as anything but polite, english is not my first language, and I mean nothing but praises.)
Thank You for the excellent tutorial, super helpful!!
At first i was doubtful but after watching your tutorial i must say, that your naration is pro and amazing!
Excellent video! Very well laid out, thanks!
Awesome video. This has helped me out with my latest edit. Your instructions are clean and crisp. Love it!
You're awesome man! Can't believe this is for free.

Excellent summary thank you.
STARTS 1:02
Excellent explanation!
Informative easy to follow tutorial. I've looked at a couple of other green screen tutorials and they didn't go into as much detail or info needed to fully use ultra key. After years of using Avid Media Composer I'm switching to Adobe. This video is very helpful
Thanks! Glad it was helpful!
thanks mate i had a very tough time with green screen it really helped
You rock!! I just spent 3 hours trying to figure this out on my own!!
This was very helpful. Thank you.
Great job in video explaination; you get to the issue fast and instruct well and AND you go in to depth, ALL with out ANY FAT! NO USELESS INFORMATION that most how to video are known for i.e. "hey guys it s a great day outside or hey i dropped my pen" "excuse my software for not working"
Thanks so much for the kind words!
wow 😍🤩 you are so amazing at explaining and making tutorials... learned so easily,.... thank you.😊
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you soo much!

This video is really comprehensive and helpful. Thanks a bunch!
you are a star. thqnks for this tutorial
When you applied the mask the color of the mask do not match the rest of the video, any tips on that?
apply a mask on the screen laptop.
And if it's a moving subject you are green screening then you can just keyframe the parts of the mask to move with the subject - use the pen tool and then move points around as needed to keep subject within the mask as the camera or person moves around!
Or if it's something like a TV/monitor screen and the camera is moving, you can use After Effects to motion track and link the mask to the motion track/null.
And if you are doing a lot of scenes with green screen, you probably want to use a mask around the subject, keyframe mask to the movement of the subject and then key the mask (no invert). It cuts down on computer processing since you are just keying a smaller area. Masking the subject works much better if you have uneven lighting on green screen. At least that is what I have seen on other youtube vids and from my own limited experience using green screen.
It's fantastic what the regular user can do today with video. I use Premiere CC but you can even do it for free if you download something like HitFilm Express.
Oh shoot. That's a great catch by you. What is happening is that the Spill suppression settings I used are affecting color across the entire picture (mainly because I should have continued to tweak and adjust them) and when I drop that mask in place all the spill suppression is hidden because it is part of the Ultra Key effect that I am masking away.
Great catch and thanks for pointing it out! Hope that helps! 🍻
.
You could either make the mask more precise to the problem area or feather the mask so that it blends better.
I loved it because its so brief but to the point. Keep up the good work. Thanks a lot from India.
2:21 and you will have what you came for ... thanks bro it helped :D
You make it really simple, thanks brother!
