It amazes me how both of you can sit there and say Ghost songs all the same to me is mind blowing to me because all 4 albums sound completely different and have a different theme But praise a band like Korn who puts the same guitar riff into every single song album after album. Or Rammstein who plays the same guitar riff and doesn't change the entire song. It's honestly hypocritical. If you can actually sit there and say this song sounds the same as Bible Cirice Elizabeth Cio Con Clavi Ritual and some of the other songs ya'll have done then ya'll have no grasp on instrumentation at all and focused 100 percent on lyrics. Honestly, there was a point I owned the "Issues" album by Korn and that was enough for me. I disliked it and after hearing several other songs from different albums, I didn't hear much of a difference between songs and albums by them. If Vin loves them, that's cool, but I'm glad he's not the type of person who says they're one of the best ever or uses them as a standard to compare the quality of other bands. They're his favorite, they hold a special place, he digs their sound, but there isn't enough variety to them. Pantera is a band that seriously sounds different in every album and I'm glad they both love them. One of my all time favorites.

This must be a strange way to consume music- for a reaction channel I mean. Albums are often best listened to in their entirety, this isn't pop music, there is often no instant gratification. Not every track on an album is going to get you instantly, some of my favourite tracks were meh the first time I heard them.
Yep. I listen to an album at least three times in its entirety before I make a full judgement. The first time I heard Ghost I wasn't that impressed. By the third listen they'd hooked me.
It's the weirdest criticism I've ever heard. It's fine if Sori is realizing she doesn't like Ghost as much as she thought she did but that's her problem not Ghost's. Every good band has their sound. You don't have to like the sound, you don't even have to think the song itself was great but it's totally unreasonable to dislike a band for having a sound especially when she likes other bands that have their own sound such as Pantera and even Slipknot.

I think it's Tobias' voice and the lyrics topic that trick you into thinking that all of the songs sound the same because honestly musically some of them sound completely different (compare He Is with Faith or Dance Macabre with Year Zero or Bible with Ritual) while still keeping their own sound (that every band has).
I think thats it as well. Because their songs don't sound the same at all. This isn't just opinion, its fact. If you look at the tabs you can see a ton of variation. But the sameness of the lyrical themes combined with the utter lack of variation in the vocals tricks you I think. I think the angry Ghost Mob is forgetting that they haven't even been listening to metal for a year. Cut them a little slack y'all.
Don't get me wrong I love Ghost and this is one of my favorites to play along with on guitar but I agree that the chorus was too much on this one. Instrumentally it rocks but lyrically it's on the weaker side in my opinion
I'm not sure why there is ever an argument as to GHOST being a metal band. Tobias has claimed many times that GHOST is not a metal band. He is a fan of black metal and it influences some of his work, but he draws inspiration and creativity from all types of music. GHOST is often compared to Blue Oyster Cult, Scorpions, Black Sabbath, and others, simply because that's what Tobias grew up on, and loves. Recently, he spoke on modeling his artistic direction after Queen and Freddie, in the sense that he doesn't want all of his music to sound the same. He wants to incorporate different instruments and elements into GHOST songs, to make their overall catalog/body of work as diverse as possible. Back to being metal, I simply think the metal community embraces GHOST because for a period of time, there was not much change going on within metal. GHOST was and still is a breath of fresh air.
Just because you don't care for the structure of a song doesn't mean it's lazy songwriting or a mistake or the singers ego getting in the way. I like the chorus and felt the song was structured perfectly. So there.

You're not worthy of Ghost. It's the same but different WTH? Sori "I don't know" exactly! Repetitive chorus, umm, that's what good songs are about and they hardly are overboard on that. Choruses makes songs catchy. You can't understand bands like KISS, Rush or Ghost without following their catalog, timeline or story. Ghost has a clear story, more so than KISS or Rush. When I first learned about Ghost I had to get into them 100% to understand what they're about. It's a lot more complex than people understand. It took me an hour once to explain Ghost to a friend, then they got it.

Hey Vin and/or Sori, you probably won't read this, but if you do: Maybe don't ruin your reaction videos by making your video tiny, putting some shadow over it and stuffing it in the corner so you can barely see it. It's not quite as bad as your Motorhead video where you ruined the reaction by putting a giant disclaimer over your faces, but it's pretty close. This may come as a shock to you, but most people watch these videos for your reaction, SO SHOW US YOUR REACTION. I started to listen to ghost around the same time this channel was created. To me, Ghost has become one of my top 5 band of all time because tobias forge is fucking genius!!! I am myself a musician, songwriter,guitar player, singer and 2 months younger than tobias. As a songwriter, I try to write the music I want to listen to, and being the same age tobias well, he writes the music I wish I could write (does that make sense ?) did you watch ghost live? did you watch ghost interviews which are mostly tobias in a nameless ghoul disguise? this man knows what he is doing, he is a talented musician,businessman, singer, songwriter and very humble human being and he loves to piss off Christians LOL

I love your channel and all that but it seems that there is no real thought into any of the comments made about Ghost. They have a VERY unique sound. None of their albums sound the same. I think skipping around and doing random songs just doesn't work. As a long time ghost fan you must see where they began, you can't just go from opus to meliora imo. Still love your channel, but this video was a bit rough. Sorry but this mystery caller was arrogant and intellectually dishonest about what he just listened to. The anonymity thing was silly. I’m still floored that Sori thinks all Ghost sounds the same. Take any of even just the singles and they so vary in sound drastically. Listen to Year Zero and follow it up with Cirice or pentacle to the pitt. This song did have a musical break down and Tobias doesn’t frequently just loop his vocals for filler. Also there is a nuisance by the name of Dirk Diggler that likes to annoyingly play watch tower on a bulk of any criticism in the comments of videos.

This is easily the weakest song on the meliora album. Probably the only weak song on that entire record.. not sure how it's getting done before Monstrance Clock, Zombie Queen, Deus in Absentia, Miasma, Witch Image or so many others

Each Ghost song and album are different. They do not all sound the same. I have watched all of your Ghost reviews and you both seem to be enjoying the songs,but then when you review them,you say they all sound the same. And that you really didn't like them. Each one of the songs and albums are completely different. No way that they sound the same. Chorus that repeats ? That's a chorus is- a part of a song that is repeated after each verse. Each of their albums have a different theme, that's represented by the different Papa's and now, Cardinal Copia. Faith was not the only good song on Prequelle,all of them were amazing. Their lyrics have a lot more going on in them,than just what is on the surface. Cheesy satanic lyrics,well that would be quite a few bands then. As far as Majesty being made for radio or airplay,that was completely wrong. The song was not even released as a single or video. And when they mentioned Old One I knew what they meant,was easy if you paid attention to the lyrics. Typical Ghost? They all sound the same? Doesn't have great vocals? I disagree. There are numerous features with certain voice modulators that allow me to do so. Also, Head has done very public interviews with Vin and Sori so it wouldn't make much sense for him to disguise his voice.

Majesty's a weird one for me. I love the verses and how Tobias sings them, and those riffs are mwah, but the chorus is meh to the point where it almost spoils the rest. Makes the song feel like an album filler. There are only a few Ghost songs I don't like, and this one is right on the edge of that list.

It's the weirdest criticism I've ever heard. It's fine if Sori is realizing she doesn't like Ghost as much as she thought she did but that's her problem not Ghost's. Every good band has their sound. You don't have to like the sound, you don't even have to think the song itself was great but it's totally unreasonable to dislike a band for having a sound especially when she likes other bands that have their own sound such as Pantera and even Slipknot.

I think it's Tobias' voice and the lyrics topic that trick you into thinking that all of the songs sound the same because honestly musically some of them sound completely different (compare He Is with Faith or Dance Macabre with Year Zero or Bible with Ritual) while still keeping their own sound (that every band has).
I think thats it as well. Because their songs don't sound the same at all. This isn't just opinion, its fact. If you look at the tabs you can see a ton of variation. But the sameness of the lyrical themes combined with the utter lack of variation in the vocals tricks you I think. I think the angry Ghost Mob is forgetting that they haven't even been listening to metal for a year. Cut them a little slack y'all.

Don't get me wrong I love Ghost and this is one of my favorites to play along with on guitar but I agree that the chorus was too much on this one. Instrumentally it rocks but lyrically it's on the weaker side in my opinion
I'm not sure why there is ever an argument as to GHOST being a metal band. Tobias has claimed many times that GHOST is not a metal band. He is a fan of black metal and it influences some of his work, but he draws inspiration and creativity from all types of music.
GHOST is often compared to Blue Oyster Cult, Scorpions, Black Sabbath, and others, simply because that's what Tobias grew up on, and loves.
Recently, he spoke on modeling his artistic direction after Queen and Freddie, in the sense that he doesn't want all of his music to sound the same.
He wants to incorporate different instruments and elements into GHOST songs, to make their overall catalog/body of work as diverse as possible.
Back to being metal, I simply think the metal community embraces GHOST because for a period of time, there was not much change going on within metal. GHOST was and still is a breath of fresh air.

Just because you don't care for the structure of a song doesn't mean it's lazy songwriting or a mistake or the singers ego getting in the way. I like the chorus and felt the song was structured perfectly. So there.

You're not worthy of Ghost. It's the same but different WTH? Sori "I don't know" exactly! Repetitive chorus, umm, that's what good songs are about and they hardly are overboard on that. Choruses makes songs catchy.
You can't understand bands like KISS, Rush or Ghost without following their catalog, timeline or story. Ghost has a clear story, more so than KISS or Rush. When I first learned about Ghost I had to get into them 100% to understand what they're about. It's a lot more complex than people understand. It took me an hour once to explain Ghost to a friend, then they got it.

I started to listen to ghost around the same time this channel was created. To me, Ghost has become one of my top 5 band of all time because tobias forge is fucking genius!!! I am myself a musician, songwriter,guitar player, singer and 2 months younger than tobias. As a songwriter, I try to write the music I want to listen to, and being the same age tobias well, he writes the music I wish I could write (does that make sense ?) did you watch ghost live? did you watch ghost interviews which are mostly tobias in a nameless ghoul disguise? this man knows what he is doing, he is a talented musician,businessman, singer, songwriter and very humble human being and he loves to piss off Christians LOL

I love your channel and all that but it seems that there is no real thought into any of the comments made about Ghost. They have a VERY unique sound. None of their albums sound the same. I think skipping around and doing random songs just doesn't work. As a long time ghost fan you must see where they began, you can't just go from opus to meliora imo. Still love your channel, but this video was a bit rough. Sorry but this mystery caller was arrogant and intellectually dishonest about what he just listened to. The anonymity thing was silly. I’m still floored that Sori thinks all Ghost sounds the same. Take any of even just the singles and they so vary in sound drastically. Listen to Year Zero and follow it up with Cirice or pentacle to the pitt. This song did have a musical break down and Tobias doesn’t frequently just loop his vocals for filler. Also there is a nuisance by the name of Dirk Diggler that likes to annoyingly play watch tower on a bulk of any criticism in the comments of videos.

Each Ghost song and album are different. They do not all sound the same. I have watched all of your Ghost reviews and you both seem to be enjoying the songs,but then when you review them,you say they all sound the same. And that you really didn't like them. Each one of the songs and albums are completely different. No way that they sound the same. Chorus that repeats ? That's a chorus is- a part of a song that is repeated after each verse. Each of their albums have a different theme, that's represented by the different Papa's and now, Cardinal Copia. Faith was not the only good song on Prequelle,all of them were amazing. Their lyrics have a lot more going on in them,than just what is on the surface. Cheesy satanic lyrics,well that would be quite a few bands then. As far as Majesty being made for radio or airplay,that was completely wrong. The song was not even released as a single or video. Majesty's a weird one for me. I love the verses and how Tobias sings them, and those riffs are mwah, but the chorus is meh to the point where it almost spoils the rest.
