1966 Fender Stratocaster

Today we've got a cool transition period Strat, a large-headstock instrument indicating 1966, with everything else pointing to 1965. Beautiful three-tone sunburst, very comfortable neck, and a snappy clear sound! Today Jay is here to tell you all about it before handing things off to Aaron Hiebert for a demo.

One of the best, most expressive and versatile players you’re ever gonna hear, in my opinion. He’s the guy I would show any little kid who’s interested in guitar. Creativity, adaptation, feeling coupled with technique. Just blows me away every time!

If you are local to Seattle and have the opportunity to see Aaron’s band, Eden, it is a must! Fantastic show and it’s pretty incredible to see a guitarist of his caliber play live. They killed at Everett’s 4th of July!

Very tone full that combo…are made for each other …those strats from 66 to say 1970 are really nice..I played a sunburst 1969 back in the 70’s in bands was my go to guitar…Hence 68 now treated myself to a 97 custom shop 69 sunburst repro with Abigail pickups ..reminds me of my youth I guess…sounds feels great but my original think was more lively …better…oh Ps Aron really nice playing clean just a little breakup u know what to look for🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

Fender made Stratocaster neck only on 13th day of the month from December 1965-mid ' 1968 😉...
Neck stamp 13 XXX XX is the factory code for Stratocaster neck in this period 65/68
