Congratulations! Sounds great and your playing, as always, is excellent. Your biggest asset in the vintage game is that you're not looking for guitars that are 100% right. You're not afraid of things like a refin, some overspray and a rewound pickup or replaced pot, etc. As much as you love guitars you also look at them as tools and evaluate what you can get out of a guitar despite its "flaws". And those flaws (or modifications) drop the price of a vintage guitar dramatically. Your mindset has afforded you a nice little arsenal of gear. Always a pleasure watching your videos. Thanks.

Mike, you just proved its not about gigs or shows or even showing off. Its all about a guitar you feel and sitting on your couch and expressing whats inside with that guitar. I salute you man, and thank you.

Hi Matthew! I always appreciate your sharing cool items and discoveries. I would like to share something with you and you audience. there is a product called Dupont Bug and Tar remover that I began using in 2012 when I was restoring a 1956 stratocaster. If you are careful, you can use it to remove paint that has been applied OVER original Fender nitrocellulose finishes. I was able to remove 6 layers of enamel paint to reveal a Fender original black finish underneath. In addition to the sound being massively improved, it looks great with all its bumps and bruises, and is more valuable because of the original finish. I hope this is a help to you and anyone else that reads this comment. These old Stratocasters are the Stradivarius violins of our era and should be cherished and preserved IMHO.

Proper fucking cool man! I love the fact that you buy old vintage guitars and try to fix some problems and sell them back on; its not only a good money maker, but also fun and entertaining for you but most of all your youtube viewers. We get to see some awesome guitars on your channel. Luckily, also strats are my favourite guitars and you for sure show your fair share of those! Keep it up bro, every video from your channel that comes up on my feed I look forward to watching. You deserve many more subs than you have, its just a shame not enough people understand texas blues these days

Hey man I dig your videos and your playing sounds great. I have to ask though have you ever considered using a power conditioner for your amps? Like a Furman or something to cut down the ground buzz? I have 5 vintage Fender tube amps myself and use strats regularly with no where near that much ground buzz. Could be your outlets or power at you house. A conditoner could potentially help with that. Assuming you have put 3 prong cords on all your amps. Cheers!!! Thanks

Are people still riding you about amp volume?!?! Ugh! That stinks! Now, you've made some excellent remarks about price point. I would still like some form of a '60's Strat, but the pre-CBS ones might be just out of my price range, when I'm ready. A post CBS 60's Strat just doesn't seem like a horrible option. Jeez, if Jimi played them, enough said, I guess!! LOVE these vids, Matthew. I'm anxious to see you play the '68 ('67?) with the new refret job and see where you take it, as well as the other natural Strat with the unusual pickguard wear. Keep them coming, and I will keep watching and liking, Sir!

Brazilian rosewood! I saw this for about C$9600 on reverb, this is really not a bad deal compared to something like like a silly Fender custom shop masterbuilt Cunetto relic, I mean what the hell is that anyway? Some over-decorated Yuppie furniture for nearly the same price?
