Nothing related to Kingdom Hearts itself but like, I keep seeing this weird fake ad for a gacha game called Evertale? The ad is geared like a pokemon creepypasta yet the actual Evertale is Worse Dragon Quest with big anime tiddy and no blood in sight.
Given that BB frontloads all of his stream VODs with ads I'm tempted to ask if anybody else got it.
I am really hoping it's like some crazy ARG in the making.

I wonder if they can be sued for false advertising? It really is a shame too, that they didn't just make the game they're showing to bait you into their actual pathetic game.

Literally I did describe it like a fever dream when I first went through it. I had heard about the plot for years second hand, like the important points, but actually playing the game initially left me more confused than I was when I didn't play the game at first.

Something about the Fantasia world that I can't get behind, and I rarely see anyone talk about is the sound effects changing.
Don't get me wrong,i like the concept of it,to be more immersing to the tone of the world and all that, but the execution of it,like many things in DDD,is ass.
Who in the hell thought that an appropriate instrument to use for a weapon strike would be a fucking harp? It boggles the mind why they would not just have percussion for every normal combo. But then again, the Keyblade strings in BBS and DDD are trash to begin with,so it almost fits
for the dino fight, i assume they figured people would need to think a little bit. you can't just button mash and use the commands you want for all the fights, so they figured people would try magic if they can't win. It's not really "bad" persay. but it's a little annoying that they force us to use magic if we don't want to.
It's true that your Opinion is that DDD is a bad game. but overall, you can't really say it's a fact that it's a bad game. It got good reviews, It was loved or liked by the majority so by default, hatred of this game is simply an opinion and no one is wrong for hating or thinking this game is bad. but it's more of a group opinion that defines the truth usually.
Sure it doesn't always have to be that way, but it's just something to think about.

Ehhhh, Idunno about this. I mean, disregarding the fact that you typed so many words to say "it's just your opinion that it's bad." I understand this is the internet where people will threaten your family if you even so much as hint at holding differing views but we get it, my dude, people are allowed to have different opinions. It's a given.
Onto other stuff you mentioned, like how this game was well received and highly reviewed, that's kind of irrelevant on if something is good or bad? BB mentioned in one of the other episodes how most KH games get pretty high reviews, and a lot of people who praise these games on their initial release are definitely more on the casual side. Not saying that's a bad thing, I consider myself a casual player as well, but when people go through the game mashing X, spamming balloon, and abusing flow motion because it's OP then sure they probably had a fun time and will think it was a "good game." Hell, when The Phantom Menace originally released it was pretty well received just because people were so hyped for it. But look how that has turned out over the years, hindsight is 20/20. And I think that applies to this game as well to some degree. People were so hyped to get that next KH game, especially when this was the one that would finally be leading into KH3. By 3DS standards, sure, this game was probably in the higher tiers for the time. But playing it now? Its glaring flaws just become that much more evident.
I think part of the reason BB, and many others, seem to have such disdain for this game in particular is it's just a big pile of wasted potential. Good ideas, with bad executions. I mean, if you're watching this series you hear him constantly giving valid reasons for disliking it. He's not just going "hmph DDD is bad because it's bad and the new popular opinion is to hate on this game so I think it's bad too 😤"
Video games can be art, and art is subjective, sure. But video games are such a unique type of art in the way that we interact with them, that no other medium can quite emulate. But at the same time, they're very specifically designed and sometimes those design choices are just flatout bad, no way around it. There are games, like FFXIV for example, that literally have to be rebuilt from the ground up. Not to mention the fact that devs are constantly patching games nowadays, fixing bugs and balance issues. So clearly the concept of a "bad game" isn't SOLEY based on opinion, there are some aspects that absolutely can be looked at under an objective lense. If a game has poor, unresponsive controls that frequently hinder the player, would that not make it a bad game? Unless it was intentional of course, like in some joke game like QWOP.
But in an action game like KH where there are certain aspects that really have to be well designed and fine tuned, DDD just has lots of fundamental flaws. Sure, if you wanna talk about the dream eater system, I can see that being more opinion based. People sure do like their monster collecting. And others will find it needlessly gimmicky. That's not even taking into account the fact that skills are tied to dream eaters and having to have them in your party.
Lastly, I know you probably had no ill will with this statement but even the mere idea of "it's group opinion that defines the truth" is unironically such a disconcerting way to look at things. I know we're just talking about video games here so I don't wanna get too philosophical but that is actually a pretty dangerous idea in theory and not how anything actually works in reality.
Anyway tl;dr : game doesn't have that classic sound when you sell stuff = game bad
