BB this entire playthrough "Dark times ahead!"
You've inspired me to never go back to play this game ever again. I remember now why I never finished it.
God I love how we can see the moment that dude got banned at 1:13:57 asking about you playing this before for a third time
I'll say this: This to me was more entertaining than ballon spam. Still, everything broken af and no, banning ballon does not make this game good by ANY means
I didnt know Yoko made the Mario and Luigi music too, and now hearing like the final boss theme of Paper Jam, it all makes sense now.
Dark Star theme sounds a lot like Dread of Night too, actually.

I feel the problem with Osaka Team heavy enemies is that they're all super armor and no workaround. It's strangely traditional RPG-esque in that you should only use your strongest attacks to bring them down as fast as possible opposed to... well, a creative alternative fit for an action game like KH. BBS and DDD feel flat for this exact reason.
But here's an example of how this can be done well: the large bodies in KH2 - if you hit them with a finisher, they get launched in the air and you can rip through their defense with Full Swing. If any other enemy gets in the way, great! No cheap magnet trick needed or AOE nuke.
With KH3 onward, designing mobs to have specific weaknesses triggered by your keyblade combos and magic beyond just elemental advantages would not only be a good step forward but also sick if done correctly.
... I don't think you even need reaction commands to pull this off.
So in other words, they did get the "large enemies shouldn't stagger easily" part down, but they didn't get the "they should still be able to stagger" part
Not only combo finishers, but if you catch Large Bodies in the air when they jump, you can hit them with a full air combo and they will stagger throughout it.
Same with assault riders, who were the bane of my first lvl 1 crit run. But as I realized that you can always stagger them with finishers if you doge their attacks, and catch them during their jumps, they've become one of my favorite enemies to fight
Riku has like 5 boss fights in a row here lol
I swear every time you drop the beeping sounds so much like something from an ER. Like they're just in the hospital and are completely conked out and not actually fighting dream eaters.
Magik Lapin is the hero of this entire run
Lapin and Me Me Bunny are two of my favorite spirits. They're surprisingly good
DDDs Org fights are always painful to do and watch. Osaka back then was quite a thing.
I never had any form of Balloon, I was under leveled, and was playing the 3DS version with a cartridge that might fail on me at any moment due to how we had treated it before(pins on the back were corroded a bit). It’s a miracle that I made it through.
About the 3DS version or 3DS in general I use my Nails for a pin press and For DDD it’s great
Now I'm kinda curious what a command deck would look like if it still took MP to use the commands like in the command menu, just that you had more attacks available and a cooldown on them.
tbh I do get some Jim vibes from BB
14:52 I challenge anyone to look up and listen to the Mario and Luigi Partners in Time credits theme and not think you're just in Monstro.
This playthrough felt like terra xehanort DM aka PAIN
Nice job bloody hopefully most other kh players will follow this with this game
Yea I feel like firaga burst is better than ballon tbh
@@thegamewin100 the key difference is firaga burst wasn't available from the beginning unlike balloon. You can say it is better sure, but because of availability, I think it's fair game to allow it. The player is the one settings the rules anyway.
I’m still gonna use it but only Baloonra in a spot and no duplicates

Melody of memory demo
I totally forgot that ventus thing was the final boss. What a lame end boss. & Yx only has like 2 health bars, wtf?
He only has 2 bars after the time rewind
I only beat Pete using balloon lmao
You mean Julius.
well at least we know it's possible to beat this game without balloon, but not using it really shows how badly designed/balanced this game really is. Yeah we can use different moves, but most of the other moves are just as broken as balloon, just not as spammable due to most of them taking a while to reload.
(no balloon) but firaga burst all the time so whats the point haha
That IS the point, in a meta sense.
People claim that it's just Balloon being overpowered that "ruins" the game, but simply removing Balloon doesn't solve the underlying issue with the Command Deck games where you just spam super strong commands over and over with little strategy.
If it's not Balloon, it's Firaga Burst. If you take that away too, the question becomes, "Alright, what's the next best stupidly OP command I can find?"
Personally, I don't have too much issue with the Command Deck games because I really enjoy steamrolling over enemies with overpowered stuff, although 3D in particular hides a lot of the fun there behind the Dream Eaters. I much prefer BBS meld system for that.

NGL, usually love watching your playthroughs of KH games from you but this particular game really is dull to watch at points. (no fault of yours)
