This was a really fun project and had a surprising amount of figuring out to make it work. Hopefully you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it.

Neil !! Thank you brother!!! Love and respect ✊🏻
👍👍👍🤝
Love and respect brother.
Absolutely beautiful 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Thanks for the opportunity, I had a blast! :)
@@PaskMakes as usual very nice work by both you guys. I watch both channels so it's nice to see two skilled craftspeople working on the same item.
Hmm, mine has not yet appeared in the mail :(
@@PaskMakes I love it brother. Fantastic outcome. Brilliant..
Of the ones I’ve seen today, John Heisz, Frank Howarth and this. This one is the my favourite. It looks so good.
Same here... 👍🏻
Agreed
Looks awesome 🥰👍
Bonjour Tysy! Glad to see you here ;)
I reckon i wasn't expecting you here sir.
Your patience for details is absolutely enviable! Your work is extraordinary!
Thanks very much! :)
I really like how you made subtle changes to the blade and tang to make them work with your design better. Thanks for sharing!
Your patience to file away at things is unreal. I file for a minute and I'm fed up.
The man has the patience of Job. I'm not sure i could stand to do that much sanding at one go.
I'm a little strange like that because I actually enjoy it! :)
Very nice 👍 also enjoyed Frank and Jon’s knife creations
I remember Trollsky making a knife with hand tools, it must have taken half a full day just to create the blade.
Neil Pask, Jon Peters and John Heisz all in the same morning, Outstanding !!
didnt know of John Heisz, just found him, thanks!
And Frank Howard..
Still wondering how much Jimmy paid all these UA-cam Woodworkers to make this add for him and his knives... don't get me wrong I'd still take the money, just wished there was more transparence on this. It is an add after all, and nobody mentioned it so far.
I love all the great content and the way these guys have banded together to elevate each other. I dont think any one maker among the "Mob" needs help selling his wares, they do just fine as individuals. However, what is remarkable is the model they have grouped into. The efforts of each individual is meant to elevate the popularity and exposure of the whole group. I have found many great makers by references from other great makers. Add to that a "common" project that each maker puts his own spin on, coupled with a coordinated release on the videos. Absolutely Brilliant! Let's go one step further and let the viewers vote on the favorite versions! I will put my vote in now for Neil!
A Shinto rasp on brass!! Holy moley
Whoa-- can you make a little video showing the checker pattern you made? Those 3 seconds kind of blew my mind and I would like to see more.
Hopefully I'll include that technique in a future project. :)
Using a Shinto Rasp on brass is a new one for me lol I had no idea it would work. Nice to know 👍👍
Collaborations by makers are some of ny favorite videos. Pask & Diresta videos are favorites.
I like the Pask take on a Diresta project. Tastefully modified. You are no stranger to the skeleton knife.
I work with my hands all day. I love taking a break to watch you work. Its relaxing. The audio is perfect all round. Filming top notch. Keep it up. I dream to be as skilled as you one day. Love from New Zealand.
Thanks very much - glad you're enjoying the videos! :)
I'll say it. "That's a Knife!" You win by me friend! Best of the bunch!
You are like the chief of wood and metal...
I admire that❤❤💯😀
I'm not sure about that but thanks! :)
@@PaskMakes ".... so, as I usually do, manage with simple tools."
Beautiful! Can't decide which one I like. All four are awesome !!
I LOVE this version. I agree, the peened over pins look great. They add a certain something to the look. Nice work!
Best of the bunch by a mile! No disrespect to other great makers, it’s just that your craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibilities are really extraordinary.
I have no idea how to use it, is my motto in life! Never let that stop you from exploring new stuff!
I admire your patience and persistence. You inspire me to do better. Thanks!
So Jimmy sharing his love on Thanks giving. Love to see craftsmen like you share projects.
Beautiful result, Neil. Thank you.
I think you positively enjoy hand filing brass more than you should. Excellent job.
I have done a few videos with lots of brass filing, it is surprisingly relaxing. 😁👍🏻
That's just freaking cool. Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing.
I just love to see the great things talented people can create. Thanks for sharing Pask. It's beautiful.
So cool! Good job Pask! So excited to see what you do with the mill once you have it up and running!
Nice work. Jimmy is so talented, but you are an equal match! Happy Thanksgiving.
Really looking forward to the milling videos. Love seeing a veteran maker, getting into something new and learning... hope we see plenty on the channel mate.
Love it! Congrats!
Looks great!
Gorgeous result and interesting process to get there! Thanks for sharing!
Epic! Very nicely done! That's a great version!
Out of the three I've seen so far. Yours was the best.
Nice work as always. Please keep the projects coming.
Wow very nice mate I like the way you go about shaping the handle and being brass, looks relatively simple too. Great video as always buddy
Great job, great design choices
Beautiful work.
As always. Really enjoyable to watch. Thanks.
Nice Pask. An artist and a craftsman. I’m assuming a scholar and a gentleman as well. All that blade needs is a matching set of brass knuckles.
You have soooo much patience. Nicely done.
I'm loving your handle!! Nicely done!!
That's a beautiful knife handle Neil. I like your idea to patina the brass - it's a very simple recipe, so I may try that on a future project. Thanks - as usual your projects are a massive inspiration!
I 'think' I've watched all the DIRESTA Skeleton Knife handle builds and they are all amazing but I think yours takes the cake, it looks absolutely beautiful
I love the variety of your posts, thank you
Excellent work as with all your projects
I’ve watched them all and this is the best one. Hands down. 💪🏻👍🏻
Nice! I've used a masonry drill bit for hardened steel.
This is my favorite handle yet for ANY knife I've seen. Great work!
It does look pretty cool!
fantastic work!! you are incredible
Absolutely brilliant work as usual, I love how you present your method it's almost therapeutic, brilliant variety in your work too, it's an excellent insight into so many different crafts, all presented with great humility considering the obvious talent you have, thanks.
super exited to see you do some projects with a milling machine in the future
Awesome nice design- thanks Pask!👌🏻
Really cool handle you made there!!! I think the way you are working in the shop is really a big inspiration to me as im trying to learn more techniques about Metallwork 👍👍👍
Thanks! Glad the videos are helpful! :)
WOW!!! That's really nice piece of art, not just a handle or knife! :)
Love to see your artistry complimenting Jimmy D's, culminates in A fabulous, Unique end product.
Thanks very much! :)
Yours was the best of them all. Kudos!
Beautiful.
Gorgeous work sir!
Beautiful job Neil
Just, amazing your work. very beautiful finish. :D
Best one so far!
No doubt. I've seen all the contesters' videos. You've won. Congrats! 🎉
Very nicely made.
I just watched Jimmies compilation of all you guys making these and yours was my favorite.
That's not a knife this is a...
Super nice. I love how you made it your own. You didn't treat it as sacrosanct which made a true collab
Great look...
Turned out amazing! Jimmy will be stoked on this.
Beautiful
Need more info on your milling machine!!!! can't wait for that episode... or that series of episodes including making the table/stand for it! lol
Best part of this video: the blade held with vise grips. I have that same saw!
Yours is the the best of all Pask.
For a second I thought you’d sharpen the end of the steel handle to create some kind of guillotine.
Fantastic job!
Great video - showcasing your great talents, from inception to execution. I'm glad that you didn't "tart" it up by going with the obvious and make it a cliche look-a-like............your personality and innovation are evident.............which is what raises a craftsman to an artisan.
Thanks very much George! :)
hands down the best one.
Well done mate!
Gorgeous
That pattern demo on brass looks awesome! Would be worth to shot even a short video how to do that.
Well done, first class
Really nice handle!
Great job. I really enjoyed the video!
Very interesting project.
Nice results
Classic Diresta
That was very neat Neil, well done.
beautiful like always
Stunning
Hermoso🙌 Saludos!
Love watching you “manage with simple tools”!
This would be a cool thing to pass on to one of the other makers for them to make a sheath or a decorative box for
Love how you do amazing things with conventional tools! Always impress...
Looks awesome as you've done it., and hard to top
No need to epoxy fill - the world does not need an 'epoxy river knife' trend!
Awesome work Neil! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Damn, that came out looking cool!
When the "Handle" means as much as the
"Blade", and the maker's mob show us all how. All my respect Gents. Thankyou.
when i saw the blade my first thought was how to see "diresta" with the handle on. you found the perfect solution. and i like the reshape of the blade because it was too wide at the handle
awesome knife...
Great design. Love the lines and subtle changes. Cool what you can do with hand tools. Mahalo for sharing!:) 🐒
Thanks very much! :)
Now that is amazing. A whole other level, this man is on!
Just saying, you are not a machinist by trade so don't get discouraged if something doesn't work
Nailed it!! 💯
