For the end cap, use a US dime into the slot, then use your hand (or a pair of pliers if really needed) to grasp and turn the dime. The coin is a tighter fit in the slot than a screw driver.
you are using the wrong type of lubricant. you need to use synthetic grease, that is one option, or go to your local bike store and get some "park tool" greace
Thanks for the videoI add some general comment- be careful to spray WD40 against sealings (sealing on the pivot, bearing seals cartridges), it tents to weaken polymers resulting in a short-life or faulty seal- better avoid to lubricate but degrease the external pivot between the threaded part and the seal, because it will stick with dust. I would prefer to apply a thin layer on the pedal hole, as the pivot assembly will wipe-in the excess.- I don't know why to use thread-locker on outer cap, it doesn't seem to be stressed; I would prefer thick silicon paste to make it waterproof and anti-locking. Same lubricant on the thread of the crank when re-assembly (this last given by shimano manteinance manual)enjoy
Good video, and great idea to bring it to attention to be careful with the aluminum screw . 👍🏼
Please do some more videos, because You are very pedagogical.

Automotive wheel bearing grease is best.
What model of bearing I should buy? I want to know before service. Thanks 😊
I still can’t remove the pedal from my bike. Call me dumb.
