Lets Pitch Some Shoes

- Thinking about building a horseshoe pit in the shade. Used to love pitching shoes when I was younger and haven't in a long while. Cornhole is OK but there is nothing like the sound a ringer makes.
We played quoits, the round ones here in N.J. Haven't heard that distinctive " klang"" in years. The garden looks ready to go! Great videos Steve you're enjoying retirement like we are suppose to. Keep up the great work.
Never heard of quoits. Had to look it up. Sounds interesting and kind of similar to horseshoes. Might be something to look into when my daughter starts having kids. The pit distance ain't quite as long and might be a little easier for smaller kids to play. Thanks. Steve

Got the prettiest weeds in the neighborhood.🤣 Things are really starting to pop around here. Night time temps are hanging above 50 mostly so the soil is starting to warm. We had plenty of rain in March and that helps. Got a cool spell coming this week. Spring is a great time of year. Take care. Steve

Got a couple other things I need to tackle first but looking forward to getting on the pit. Maybe build a little sitting area there also with some flowers around. It's a dead spot in my back yard that never gets used and not much grows well in that shade. Figured I'd put it to use some way. Take care. Steve

Believe it or not, I've never thrown shoes in a game and I've never played Cornhole. Guess I've lived a sheltered life. Lol. Buzz
No kidding? You poor thing you have lived a sheltered life.😄 It's a great game for us "old codgers". You throw a couple shoes 40 feet then walk down and throw them back. Repeat till you throw your arm out.🤣 Had a lot of fun messing with them as a kid and this is a dead spot in my back yard. Not a lot grows well in that shade and it doesn't get used much. That's true. At least when we were younger if we wanted to play video games we had to get out and go to the arcade. Now a days you can drive through a neighborhood and you don't see anybody out and about. Just a shame. Take care. Steve
