Rishe Irmgard Weitzner, a duke's daughter, has a secret: she died at the age of 20 and returned to the moment five years prior when her engagement was called off. She has already experienced this time loop six times and lived out those five years a different way each time, as a merchant, a doctor, a maid, a knight, and more. Now, on her seventh go-around, she's determined to live to a ripe old age and spend it relaxing. But the moment she flees the castle with that decision in her heart, she runs into the infamously cruel crown prince of a rival kingdom, Arnold Hein. He happens to be the one who killed her during her life as a knight, but now, he seems to have taken a bizarre liking to her... and begs her to become his wife. Thus, in order to stay alive and prevent a war, Rishe utilizes her previous experiences to kick off her seventh life as the bride of an enemy nation's crown prince.

One of the most plot rich dances I've ever seen: A conflict of personalities in where though he "wins" the dance, she completely disarms him with the revelation that she figured out one of his secrets during it.
Disarmed how exactly? Discovered and learned something maybe but let's not pretend it'll be some substantial and dramatic game changer

@@quin3578It’s a minor victory of wills - he had control of the dance, while she tried to playfully take control of- any other person he would’ve not taken that kind of slight however minor. But she had proven she is not like any woman and she has shown she will do what she wants but in unexpected ways which only lights his curiosity.
He guessed she would do something during the dance and had something to counter it while keeping the dance fluid - as onlookers would say, it was like watching a duel between master swordsmen.
What he didn’t expect was her deduction of an injury he hadn’t shown to anyone - granted it took one of her deaths to notice it and the dance to confirm it.
Plus her past lives as a doctor/swordsman/and originally a lady of court
If anything this proves how much he has underestimated her and of all the lords and ladies who cause drama in court, *_SHE_* is perhaps the greatest possible potential enemy he could’ve overlooked and it was by luck she took a different turn at the castle which their paths crossed for the first time.
If she could conclude he had a slight injury from dancing, what else she is capable of?
Overturning the system of favoritism in the housemaids, introducing an economic system favorable to the low class, creating a healthcare system with herbal medicine as its center, introducing women to the military, creating a system ensuring loyalty to a fault which benefits all involved, and/or establishing a new world order which world war isn’t a possibility.

One of the best animated dance scenes I've seen. Normally couples just whirl and are quite static in dance scenes but here they have really dynamic moves.
or they're completely cgi with some 2d close ups. agree this was beautiful to watch

You should see the ball dance in Tearmoon Empire(the one with the white haired boy). I suggest you watch that scene especially if you played Princess Debut on DS too cause it sparked some nostalgia in me 😭

the funniest part is that sometimes, manhwas of different series will literally reuse background characters, like the same one

Fun thing about this episode: it's directed by Munehisa Sakai (Zombieland Saga, Danse Danse Danseur), a veteran animator whose specialty among other things is animating dance sequences, and he said they used motion capture for this very scene!

I just noticed, the animators take into account the change of height given by the heels she's wearing! You can tell she would only get to his neck level when she was wearing knight's clothes, but when she's on a dance gown she's wearing heels and that changes things.
This is the kind of attention to detail that I'm here for.
The best part about this show is the story is always exciting and progressing, even during moments like this dance scene. I'd like to shoutout the very skilled writers and producers for having the expertise to deliver good content.
Every episode is a treat and the only anime I'm looking forward this season
@@krazyaim that is what was missing in other shows. It was either dragged or poor communication troupe. This one makes sense where "oh btw you murdered me my last life."
@@arex9000 You know something's wrong with the majority when a dance with your former murderer makes more sense the entire plots of most other romance anime.

@@chikush3717 The *closest* shows I can think of are "An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride" and "Unnamed Memory." To stress, they are the closest, but still far off, but shows I definitely enjoy.

This scene is portrayed beautifully. Her fickleness is counteted by his seriousness. Even though he seems cold but he enjoys to get things under control as seen when he pulls her back by waist during one of her teasing move. A reflection of a personality showing why he chose to ultimately wage war, may be to control his surrounding.
She brings for him a balance, her agility is enough to engage his attention giving a possibility of an alternate ending from the past 6 realities which will have different and peaceful future. He will feel undetermined to wage a war as She's the enigma he needs to decipher right now.
Or perhaps the wars in the past cycles were born out of him trying to find some sort of excitement or fulfillment in life (essentially meaning that he was otherwise bored with life when he wasn't facing a worthy adversary), but ever since Rishe entered his life, she's been an enigma that he has been drawn to and who actually makes life exciting and fun for him for once? And if she can keep that up and keep him engaged in such a way, it could prevent a war in this cycle entirely, as having Rishe in his life could really end up being all he needs to be satisfied and happy with his life, and this can of course lead to him showing Rishe sides of himself that she never knew existed that she in turn can come to genuinely fall in love with.
And she got so preoccupied near the end there with his lack of a smile
I thought the same while watching the episode, but surprisingly that wasn’t what she was noticing.

This was such a surprisingly well drawn dance choreography with musical accompaniment, another sign this anime is a hidden little gem.

Well, as they are very similar to my husband and me, I gather she will never stop getting flustered at times. But the honeymoon will be full of surprises and charming moments.

Gods did I love this scene in the novel and they've done one hell of a job on the anime. The scene in the novel is almost described like a fight, where she attacks and he counters, but never crossing the line into his own attack. He's the first to notice her distraction, which is why he finally attacks at the end. They truly are pretty much the perfect couple, I wonder if we'll get to any of the scenes from the novel where they fight together. Since those scenes are always really well described in the novel, "fighting as if they were one". They just have some kind of tacit understanding where they know what each one wants to do and facilitates in helping the other accomplish it.

There's a good scene in the anime where they are doing a training spar. Both have an arm bound behind their backs, an eye patch on and each have a leg weighted down like they had been injured. It was just as good as this dance scene.
@@KandyKane999No that's misinformation Rishe just have her left arm bound. But arnold have his eye, left leg and his dominant hand bound.

That was the most graceful dance I’ve seen in an anime. ☺️ It really was like the combat choreography of a sword fight.
It's so entertaining seeing them fighting for dominance in such a refined dance while everyone just perceives them as a perfectly synced couple and the girls around them boiling with envy for Rishe and Arnold's compatibility.
Imagine a certain anime centered on dance actually had well animated dance scenes like this instead of stills...

I noticed how good the animation was last episode for his soldiers fighting those bandits, usually they'd just do some really basic movement or still images for those scenes even for scenes like these that only last a few seconds, and now this scene? This is not a genre where you usually would see strong animation, but I sure as hell am not complaining. 7th Time Loop is shaping up to be a great one.
