@@luisemoralesfalcon4716 Earlier in this episode you see Gaoshun say "Maybe I should get in touch with that military officer Lihaku" when he's watching Jinshi mope in his office for firing Maomao. Then when the courtesans are entering the party Maomao says something like "Lihaku recommended us to these high-ranking officials". So yeah, Gaoshun is the MVP as far as wingmen go.
When Jinshi cried against Maomao's shoulder in the last week's episode, I realized that he wasn't crying just because of the difficult relationship between him and his mother. Jinshi's emotional breakdown can also be attributed to the fact that managing the entire palace at such young age is incredibly taxing. There's only so much burden one can take before breaking. Maomao is the only person Jinshi is not afraid to show his vulnerable side to.
Plus with the whole hidden identity alone is enough to drive anyone to the wall, look at all undercover operatives. All that lying and watching your back takes a toll.
Well put! I felt so bad for Jinshi at that time. But also glad he at least got a shoulder to cry on cuz he has probably needed that for some time already
Jinshi's got it bad!!!!! At this point he'd have to becomes immune to poison to actually kiss this Maomao! Ain't no way she's gonna let him kiss her if he didn't paint his lips with poison.

I love that Jinshi is thirsty to be with Maomao because he genuinely likes her, while she's just oblivious to it all because her mind focuses on other things. I think it will take him getting to know her and caring for her that will wake her up.

Maomao sisters reactions was spot on, I know they decided to care for her due what happened with ------- and Pairin was basically her wet nurse but, they acted like an actual family. Pairin almost devoured the young attendants until she was restrained.

Unfortunately the original source material aka light novel will require about 14 cours (7 seasons?) of anime to catch up, and it's still ongoing. It would be amazing if they could keep animating it.

Gaochun sabia que Maomao havia retornado ao Distrito do Prazer. Ele entrou em contato com Lihaku um oficial que ja havia estado na Casa Verdegris. Lihaku falou para oficiais superiores e em condições financeiras de bancar uma festa com as tres princesas da Casa Verdegris com o unico proposito de reunir Jinshi e Maomao mais uma vez. Gaochum não suportava mais a depressão de Jinshi pela perda de Maomao e daí teve essa ideia.
