WSR Spring Steam Spectacular - Sunday 30th April 2023

Chose Sunday to visit the WSR Spring Steam Spectacular as it was the only day I could make.
The worst day for the weather! It was forecast rain showers throughout but only had one downpour in the afternoon, so all in all a good day.
This was my first visit to WSR in almost 4 years!
The guest locos were 2999 'Lady of Legend' from Didcot, 7812 'Erlestoke Manor' & 34027 'Taw Valley' from SVR (in SR Black)
All engines performed very well indeed.

Very atmospheric captured Ger, the Saint didn't look too good later in the day, but you still managed to get a great deal done on just one day....Bob

Yes 7812 is here on the west Somerset railway thanks to the other manor 7822 taking too long for the repair work and this loco of course is staying for the summer months
And this is 34027s first Somerset visit since the year 2000s and this loco is replacing the unfit 4953 pitchford hall
And as for lady of legend this is the first time for this loco to ever come here as a new build engine
