Behind the Scenes of the Tabernacle Organ

This summer, The Tabernacle Choir is practicing at the Conference Center so the famous Tabernacle organ can be tuned and repaired! Joseph Nielsen gave us a little behind-the-scenes as he worked on the Salicional (the soft-toned organ stops) that go to the antiphonal (a division of the organ placed at a distance from the main organ). We’re always amazed at how many pipes are required to make this organ sing! Stay tuned for more organ behind-the-scenes over the next few months!
