I saved over $300!
Well I was lucky enough to see a few available and got my order in from Amazon. Now I honestly didn't know what to expect from the Quality of this M1 Pro MacBook Pro, but gotta say I was pretty surprised that it looks so well and there is only a couple things I found negative about it. Now for some these things would be deal breakers, but for me I am okay with it.
Be sure to keep and eye on the options is you want to pick up a used MacBook Pro for yourself. (Look for the Save with Used Option)

Yeah. Amazon has a pretty great return policy so usually it’s a safe bet.
It would have been helpful to run battery tests and hardware tests.
Sorry. At this point the laptop had been out for a bit and others had covered a lot of that. I was mainly just showing what you’d get with the used options on Amazon.
@@TheAppleBiasBattery and hardware tests would tell us about the condition of the internals, which is the primary concern when buying refurbished. I got an iMac refurbished from Apple and the logic board needed to be replaced within a month of receiving it. Seeing how that compared to Amazon’s refurb quality would’ve been great.

@jschim_ I think I mentioned battery percentage at the time of the video. I didn’t actually end up keeping this one. I got a good deal on one on eBay shortly after I made this one which was an M1 Max. I still have that one and its battery health is at 86% now. I’m pretty hard on my laptop batteries tho cause I leave them plugged in a lot with my desk setup. I was however able to get AppleCare+ on the computer I have so as soon as I can get it under 80% I plan to take it in for a battery replacement.

Waiting on the exact same thing except it’s Space Gray. This is reassuring. They gave very little detail besides “Condition - Good”… but at $360+ less than new, it was worth a shot… plus I’m typing this comment on a used iPad Pro I also ordered on Amazon that’s been great!
Yeah it’s crazy how little detail they give. Guess most people take the risk since they do offer a pretty easy return system.
@@TheAppleBias Update. Got it and its essentially brand new just like yours. Box was slightly beat up, but all marks on the macbook I was able to tub off with my thumb. Even came with th correct power brick! Couldn't be happier.

Mine came in a regular box with 3rd party charger too. Supplied by loop mobile through Amazon. I messaged them that it was unacceptable and they refunded me a partion. 75 bucks. Better than nothing. I bought a new one from apple same day. So expensive 😢

I live in the Caribbean and I'm extremely nervous about ordering a renewed device... I've watched a couple different videos now and nothing is particularly reassuring.
What's the probability of getting a good quality laptop/ phone/ tablet (no cosmetic issues or software issues, nor fixing by pulling apart the back etc.)
I’m guessing the return process for you wouldn’t be as easy or possible not possible. Which would make me concerned as well. Sadly all I can say is my experience. Which mine was great.

Good video and glad you got a nice deal, was always weary of Amazon used items. This is reassuring. I’m not sure if your video image is representative though, I know it may help w clicks, but it looks like this was a bad experience from that image. I would change it, otherwise I enjoy your vids, esp you iPhone mini ones!
Yeah I was pretty surprised too. Yeah image is Kinda clickbaity I may change it later today. I am planning to do a couple iPhone mini videos again soon. Might have an update on the 13 mini next week.
I bought a new 14 inch from Amazon, then checked every day to see if a good 16 inch popped up, and I wanted the black one. At Apple it is a $3,999 dollar computer. I paid only $3,261 on Amazon. It took almost a week to arrive though. I tested it out all day today and I see zero problems with it. The battery only has 3 cycles on it. I almost think the price was a fluke. Because other used ones popped up on Amazon for more than $3,800. I'll test more tomorrow and then return the 14 inch.
Guessing that’s for an M3 version? With it being that new you should be able to still get apple care on it. You may have to take it into and Apple Store to do it if it’s not an option in system preferences app. I added it to the one I bought. No cheap $150 I think for a year. But worth the peace of mind.
@TheAppleBias yeah, 16 inch M3 Max. I'm guessing someone bought it 2 months ago and returned it to Amazon. The warranty is until February of next year. The warranty of the 14 inch is until April next year. I don't see any issues with it. I only have a couple more days to return the 14 inch, something I better not forget.

It was around 4-6 on this one even though the mac was from November 1st. I didn’t look at it right away but when I did it was at 8. Ad I had it a few days at that point.

Usually probably not but if it is new enough (less than a month) from apple you can. And sometimes if it’s under a year you may still have a chance to take it into an Apple Store and they may be able to still add it.

Not exactly. I am not sure what all Amazon does differently. Used means it was bought by someone and returned within the 30day or less return period. Refurbished is usually something they bought from someone used and then put through a series of tests. I am sure the used goes through a similar set of tests as well but refurbished could go through some part switches if anything is damaged.

Never been there so sadly can’t way for sure. I would expect them to have some sorts reseller stores there. Or eBay. Usually eBay’s is great for buyers cause they usually side with them if there is an issue.

All depends on what you plan to use it for. I’m a big fan of Apple silicon. But the intel’s are still great machines.

Seems like you don’t get what you pay for. Not so sure it is worth it.
It was just the charger which bites but I think in most cases you will get the charger you want I think mine was a more unique cases. Other have gotten the legit one. Also I have the charger now and I never use it.

Honestly. Only time to purchase from Apple is right when the product gets released. Otherwise you are overpaying. I also bought one on eBay saved like 800 or so and still was able to get AppleCare+

Does it not mean about the original new product, which is first time in the box after manufacture and also never ever open and also not any use by anyone anytime!
Naturally it also happens that... after a month of Launch date of product might be used by someone any return back because of any reason. In that case it's already open once and used too by someone...and after returning product to the manufacturer, he will get it back and make it again as like new product, sealed it properly too and keep it in their showroom or deal with any e-commerce. Which is later on used by someone else.

But usually I say if you’re going to buy from Apple the best time to do it is right when the product is released because Apple rarely ever reduces prices on anything until the next version comes out. Like right now. The iPhone 15 is a month away but if you walk into Apple you will be paying the same price for the iPhone 14 even though in one month the price will drop and it’s nearly a year old tech wise. Now if you are buying used or refurbished then that changes things and then it’s more of a shop around to see if the price is worth the risks that come with buying used tech.
