However, improving public transport, controlling basic groceries cost & controlling house and car prices must be considered too. Most people are struggling just to survive on daily basis nowadays.

Orang kampung tak miskin. Mereka kaya ada ladang kebun dan tanah. Sebenarnya mereka kaya. Walaupun buksn semua kaya sekurang kurangnya hidup mereka jujur dan ikhlas.
i tell u,there is no more extreme poverty in malaysia..those who live in remote area are more well rich rather than the one live in the city so call have a decent job..
Kalau semua nak kaya sapa nak sapu sampah sapa nak cuci tandas sapa nak jadi security Sapa nak jual air Sapa nak jual makanan Pikirlah kalau nak kurangkan beban rakyat bagi bantuan kat rakyat contoh seperti br1m tapi banyak lah banyak sikit dalam 3k hingga 5k baru cukup makan setahun 🤣
actually... if a country starts doing their quota system, like solar panels... why did they do so in the first place? politics? electrical surge? making sure there are enough resources for the next generation to play around with? ketuanan malay? It all adds up one way or the other. they didnt check depleting sources? Got... but not good enough. If people love each other and desire to have a normal family. By normal is father mother children. Some say, 10 children is excessively. Who are we to decide? Some say 1 children is too little? again who are we to decide? They love each other, their problem, end. (population) Depleting sources and pollution. Okay, this one hard to tackle. You have a point, but ill try to make sense out of it. ANyone with the desire of preventing sources from depletion, have to consider these few things. Dont eat, Dont work, Dont have kids, Dont have desires, Dont have wants, Dont have needs. This way, no sources are in jeopardy of depletion and also because the sources stays as in its natural state, pollution is also not an issue. From this, the crisis we all face is a simple harsh truth not many are willing to bite. Human existences are the cause of the problem. Based on the things you stated. Host of other negative factors. This one. Ill just do the Malaysian way of handling things. You know got problem. You also know its not solvable. Just say, pls la. LOL
Sadly, many more have fallen into the poverty line due to this pandemic. Most countries do not have a strategy and also not serious about this problem. Firstly, the governments will have to eradicate personal greed among the ruling parties. Every single public servant would have to declare their assets so that they would genuinely do the job for the people. Let the greedy be left alone in the private sectors where they can excel in businesses. Then only, poverty will disappear. Emperors created poverty for armies. It is still the same today.
Bila aku nk kata orang malaysia miskin..salah tak kalau aku kata rasa mcm x...sebab rakyat malaysia ni miskin2 pon mkn mcd...gi kfc..pakai pon mahal...mungkin ada ketidakseimbangan dalam jurang pendapatan kita..ni sekadar pendapat je guys😉 Pastu nak tambah...bila gaji naek harga pun naek...camane nak jd backing...
And Use One Blanket Approach Is Like One Policy One Principality Doesnt It Familiar Like Socialism. This Is Why Sabah and Sarawak Need Their Own Team Instead Emphasizing Federalism. Dont Let The Same Mistake Happen Again. How Is A Person Who Is Not From Sabah And Sarawak Come And Shape The Economy Why Dont Let The Local Expert Shape It. We Not Living In The 60s And 70s anymore so its time for the homegrown make a different approach towards economy which fully control by federal in Sabah And Sarawak. My Point Here Poverty Is Still High Dont Be Fool By Statistic Which Claim We Are Almost Poverty Zero. I Dont Feel That Way Thou I Am From Sabah And I Wonder How Is That Make Sense.
This is because capitalists (industrial & company) too greedy. Raise the minimum wage, with rational wage will encourage Malaysian go out to work, at the same time it will, reduce foreign workers that was solution. Our public policy should be more beneficial to the people, not only industrial..
Bawa FDI masuk. Kita ajak depa bukak kilang kat sini.
For those who are consider to be poor in the cities would be considered to be rich peopleat villages. The living cost should be differred and evaluated according by area/culture etc. Rm1599 could be more than enough for a household living with 5-7 person under 1 roof with enough supply water and food including daily vegetables from their own garden. My family get enough water supply from our village's small water dam and we pay almost nothing every month for it... think about orang asli. They have money but life not required them to spend so much...
Called the Malaysian Bluff - Malaysia is the world champion in BLUFFOLOGY. Forget the the statistics and lets look at the REAL LIFE STATISTICS. There is STATICS AND DAMN THE STATISTICS. ITS ALL BULL, Why talk about income LEVELS that are not true, when this measure is meaningless to the ordinary man. Why? The cost of living, rent, food costs, travel, electricity, costs of human necessities are very costly. This is because the MY governments is not for FREE trade but is controlled by Licenses ...... as every non Malay knows licenses are expensive to get due to corruption. Take Rice, Why should BERNAS control the rice trade for traders and received prices subsidies from the Government. If Rice is Not a controlled product the Chinaman and privileged Malays will manipulate the prices. Every commodity that is classified as essential is under price control. Only in Malaysia we need price controls when the privileged few exploiting the masses. Take the price of electricity in MY. We live in a hot and humid country that by global warming is becoming unbearable to life as we know it. We switch on our air con and fans all day. MY pays one of the highest KwH prices. Why again it is controlled by the privileged Monopolies. Go to the Market today and buy a kilo of tomatoes costs RM4. when you can buy the same in India for 4 rupees.or 30 sen. 1 Kilo of Flour is about RM2 when you can buy in UK Supermarkets at RM1.30 per kilo. Food is imported by the BILLIONS into MY and controlled by a few rich Towkays. PH Government wants BIG Government Machinery that is slowly failing yearly. We need to liberalise this license menace and let the free market to its job. Bring the cost of living DOWN and raise our wages that makes us prosperous not the privileged few. Give all MY to incentive to grow food, use new technology and grow the food we need.
cher yee I like gst too but gst application doesn’t really make sense in Malaysia, the businesses are able to claim back the gst they paid that’s why they shouldn’t include the tax into their price again but some businesses still did that and made the price gone up more.
to be honest, malaysian poverty partly is their own doing. most of us, are living and spending out of our means, be it for self-glorifying, yolo without doing any budget planing. you argue car is necessity, but why choose a car that suck up your salary more than 40%? your income 3k, bought a vios/city/civic, why? a myvi or even saga should be sufficient you argue smartphone is necessity, why you will buy a 1k or 2k priced phone when nowadays
i just need at least these two things from the government . Currency Value. No need to be equal value as GBP or even Euro or even USD or even CAD. Not the same as SGD and BND also nevermind. Not even as high as AUD. As equal as NZD will do. Secondly. No need Free Total Global Health Care. Even if a mere Free National Level Health Care. These two things will totally cancel out all of the country other stupid problems.naturally. I don't even care if PAS the one who make these things come true. Stop focusing on stupid flying cars and the 469th national car program.
Have a world standard education system. Cut corruption to the core. Practice meritocracy in all departments. Reduce goverment employees to half it is today. Be friendly to all nations especially the G7 nations. Cut the religious or race crap. Go technical and make artificial intelligence the core of our students learning. Then you wait... maybe in five to ten years time investors will start trickling in and then if goes well it will be a wave. Best of luck..
everyone shud get equal opportunity..and education is the only way to eradicate this problem...as a bumiputra...i believe malaysia is the land of god...anyone shud get the same...no more no less...
equal opportunity? i would beg to differ, opportunity should be given to those who are hardworking, have merits, and are willing to do the job. The thing about equal opportunity in Malaysia is that, many are divided on giving the opportunity to those who look like poor, bumis status, ketuanan malay. But to be frank, if opportunity is given to those who live in kampung, the chances are, it will be develop like kampung. Because its the environment that gives them the experience and they have been living their live as such. fail here. Been there done that. Give the opportunity to city folks, likelyhood, these people can see more and can plan, but are not the type that are labour heavy. Also, been here done this also, fail. What we need in Malaysia is to really work together as what we originally agreed on. Berkerja sama. But we also know that, the ones in kampungs dont work well with the ones in city, the same is also true vice versa. Dengki here dengki there. Its a mess up situation.
Stop this craps.....make a simple maths on how the politicians can become millionaire's and billionaires and the people cant make end meets even with the country full of natural resources. Take example state like Sabah & sarawak which is oil and gas rich but the people are dont even have a basic needs.

Malaysian poverty and homes boosting the views. 👍 keep on provide more quality content! You guys nailed it this time.
Thank you Tun Mahathir!
Current government needs to devise an effective economic plan to reduce household budgets and impose strict property tradings that enables all Malaysians are able to buy a property even at minimum wage. Housing is ridiculously high and many lower salarymen and women are unable to purchase a property.
Have you seen the house price st pulau pinang? It insane high......there no why our Malay people can buy it.....if we have land that we own we can build a house.......
Main question is:
What is the cost of living in Malaysia?
Majority of biased research on poverty, *ALWAYS* ignore the cost of living.
Rent,property increase
Water,electricity,gas increase
Taxes increase
Everything increases except salary
Every civilization there shall be an excelling, moderate and unfortunate society.
I say the government need to take initiative in building an affordable housing complex for the working middle class which cost less than RM 30 000 a unit. I believe this problems can be solved just like how Lee Kuan Yew solved the Singapore Housing problem. Also the government should just cut the MP's salaries to accommodate better infrastructure funding. Sekian, terima kasih.
I'd be happy living in a quaint cute wooden bungalow with a pc of land so I can grow food for a living.
MY FAMILY WAS ON A HOLIDY OVERSEA FOR 3 MONTHS. MY WATER BILL WAS CHARGED 21 RINGGITS WITH OUT USING ADROP. AT7 RINGGIT A MINTH. CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN WHY J. B. IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER STATES?
to be more accurate,,,surplus leftover income after deduct all basic commitment, house loan, car loan, utilities, min food spending...there are people who just left few hundred, even some negative compared to their uncertain income of their own business...these type of people that we should guide them to be on right track...at least they can carry forward surplus to next month compounding...
To Malaysia People, spend ur money wisely, to fresh graduate or hunting job, grab the job, gain ur experience first and demand ur salary later.

Kenapa poverty kena tunjuk rumah kampung? Adakah orang kampung ni semua miskin ke?
to simplify things, sir. why is this a big issue?
Muhamad Alif some malay normally fast tiggers 😅
Orang kampung tak miskin. Mereka kaya ada ladang kebun dan tanah. Sebenarnya mereka kaya.

do you any article about SDG in Malaysia that i can refer to??
Basically what is the main program that Malaysian gov do to overcome poverty?
Kalau semua nak kaya
sapa nak sapu sampah
sapa nak cuci tandas
sapa nak jadi security
Sapa nak jual air
Sapa nak jual makanan

SO MANY COUNTRIES DO NOT TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION UNCHECKED POPULATION GROWTH, DEPLETING SOURCES POLLUTION AND A HOST OF OTHER NEGATIVE FACTORS
actually... if a country starts doing their quota system, like solar panels... why did they do so in the first place? politics? electrical surge? making sure there are enough resources for the next generation to play around with?
ketuanan malay? It all adds up one way or the other. they didnt check depleting sources? Got... but not good enough.
If people love each other and desire to have a normal family. By normal is father mother children. Some say, 10 children is excessively. Who are we to decide? Some say 1 children is too little? again who are we to decide?
They love each other, their problem, end. (population)
Depleting sources and pollution.

Line of poorness in malaysia below RM3k perfamily.

Ramai miskin di bandar drp kampung.

Agree?
40% poor? I dont agree...its should atleast be 15 or lesser
Amir Muslims so you’re asking people to move out of cities?

Hmm weird

cher yee I like gst too but gst application doesn’t really make sense in Malaysia, the businesses are able to claim back the gst they paid that’s why they shouldn’t include the tax into their price again but some businesses still did that and made the price gone up more.
Khai Chun Thee due to laziness of authorities let the price gone out of control and the worst is import tax
cher yee most of the authority is what race...so what to do...nothing😅

they are not poor what do you really know
K Soo statistically they are poor. They are only basing it on statistics
to be honest, malaysian poverty partly is their own doing.
most of us, are living and spending out of our means, be it for self-glorifying, yolo without doing any budget planing.
you argue car is necessity, but why choose a car that suck up your salary more than 40%? your income 3k, bought a vios/city/civic, why? a myvi or even saga should be sufficient
you argue smartphone is necessity, why you will buy a 1k or 2k priced phone when nowadays
i just need at least these two things from the government .

FIRST OF ALL THE GIRL IS INDIAN .. NOT MALAYSIAN... RIGHT? LOL
Stop this craps.....make a simple maths on how the politicians can become millionaire's and billionaires and the people cant make end meets even with the country full of natural resources. Take example state like Sabah & sarawak which is oil and gas rich but the people are dont even have a basic needs.
