It’s so unique compared to most maps. The bus created suspense and excitement as you and your friends rush to it before it leaves or someone is left behind running after it
Honestly, I think in my opinion, it's one of the best maps for me. I just love the idea of using a bus to ride to one location to another and just everything about it. Yeah, I do hate the amount of lava they have and the Denizons but other than that, I still do enjoy it, despite it's flaws.
Transit was my friends and I’s favorite map because we were like 10, we didn’t watch cod videos and we didn’t understand what all the perks did. We had the greatest time riding the bus and just casually playing. I really love transit just for the nostalgia value.
Evil Maddox tranzit is my favorite map ever I don’t know why it is hated so much I just genuinely love how much fun black ops 2 was. Best game I have ever played
This was a map that was terribly made, but this was also a map that also make tons of memories. Friends screaming while running though fog, camping on the bus together , celebrating when you emped the lighting boss.
Remove the fog and denizens Make the lava do less damage Give players the ability to send the bus off anytime they want Instead of the Jet Gun breaking, just give it a cool down And you have one of the best zombies maps.
Couple extra ideas: Instead of the turbine thing for pack a punch just have fuse boxes along the route that have to be switched on Call boxes for the bus that activate when power is on, and the ability to tip the driver to make him go faster or leave immediately Have fog only until power is on except in corn fields, but instead of denizens just have dogs spawn in the fog Extra buyable areas An extra area along the train tracks(you can see the silhouettes of an area in the map)
Lol i got it when it first came out...played regular maps then saw "Tranzit"...i was like huh new mode? Clicked it and boom immediately confused then loved the hell outta the concept of leaving friends behind on a bus in an apocalyptic bus while you get better guns the ultimate prank map for noobs to get left on miss 2012 too much
Transit DESERVES a second chance, wether it's a remake or a sequel. It had a lot of weird quirks that held it down but I really think they could make an amazing map expanding on it.
They should give transit a second chance, they should remake it for bops 4 in the vision they already had but couldn't complete, since now we have better software and consoles. I would love to see transit completed, fully.
You and me alone. The nostalgia plus the fact that I actually know how to play the map. Teleport round 1 grab money from bank, grab perks grab knife for fog & turn power. All by round 2-3.

Tranzit was the only zombie map I had for BO2 at the time we couldn’t really afford other maps let alone the internet..so growing up I really got attached to this map in my opinion with the fog, lava, and denizens made it a lot more scary, literally the lava and fog fit for the “end of the world” feeling. The corn field will forever scare me, tranzit for being so bad I absolutely love it for being bad and I still hope they remake it in the future.

I never got the whole “the fog had to be there because of last gen consoles” Battlefield 3 (which came out a year before BO2) had maps 2-3 times the size of Tranzit and were rendered beautifully.
More or less the fog had to be there for the setting and map to be right. Can it get annoying? Yeah, but the fog is a big part of the map, and the map wouldn't be the same without it
@@NorsGold Same wit the Denizens. They were in for not only for training out the areas to prevent you from cheating on high rounds, but to slow you down so that the engine wouldn't crash.
It might be because zombies was only a small part of the game. Im sure if it was able to take every piece of hardware on the disc it could have been removed but I’m not sure.
Really late and I'm sure you don't care anymore, but I think it was limited by the game's engine itself, I'm certain it was mostly optimized for multiplayer, which had small, quick maps to render. BF3 had an engine that took their large maps into account, BO2 just didn't have the right engine for what they wanted.
@@walkerallen425 Well for Zombies, they had Nuketown as a bonus map which can be handled the right way, Tranzit on the other hand is bigger (way bigger than Origins).
This map was gonna have so much to it and was gonna be great especially when bus route B was gonna be a thing, but due to hardware limitations at the time it became a slow foggy mess, and honestly I sort of love it. The reason I like tranzit is because of how bad and nostalgic it is. Seriously we all hated this map but we are still going back to play it to this day.

Tranzit could get a remake with various upgrades like no fog More features in the bus like more weapons A Easter egg A better boss fight Hell hounds A better wonder weapon or basically one that doesn't gets destroyed This map can really improve with a remake with upgrades
as someone who spent most of my life with tranzit as the only map i had access to and spent most of that time just doing bus depot survival because i hate the bus with every fiber of my being, you gain a sense of appreciation for the little nice things in this map. It also made me a much better player because of how absurdly difficult and random it was and how much it kicked you directly in the testacles.
Only negative thing I have negative against Transit: You ever been caught in street light/teleporter limbo. Back and forth between two or three spots. My God that was irritating
This map is one of my favourites simply because of the amount of memories I have with it. I'll never forget trapping people outside of the bus as they get swarmed by about 20 zombies trying to get in. Or knifing the bus driver in an attempt to get everybody inside of the bus kicked out in the middle of nowhere.
Yea I see why tranzit is bad but it's not like that bad, like if u get pack a punch and pack a good gun and camp there then ur set but still it can suck, I didn't even know about the fridge because I never got off on farm but I knew about the bank cause I could camp there, there's a lot of ups and downs with these map like the whole bo2 like buried is a good map but die rise sucks there's orgins but then there's farm, the list just keeps going on and on honestly I rlly like bo2 and I've never rlly played the first game
But I have a little and it's a lot of fun, now bo2 is kinda dead sadly with all the modding the game isn't the same now I modded before but back when I didn't even think of it I thought modders sucked and were so annoying, ok now im done ranting and I'm prob gonna get shit cause this if anyone sees this

I've always loved this map despite it's initial difficulty. It's the only scary map till this day. Getting lost in the fog while getting attacked and chased was madness. Once you know about the knuckles for the fogglings, teleportation and the bank your set. Fun Fact that most people don't realize is that in the Night of the living dead remake the main guy talks about these locations once he gets to the farm. He was at a diner when things happened and the town was overrun so he went to the farm. Getting left or split up is always like "Billy NOOOOOOOO Billyeeeeee" then later Billy pops out of the fog and kills the train that was about to chew on your tired ankles while you reload your last clip. This just can't be recreated in any other map. Especially when you got two separate hordes coming to town so you try and hold out because Billy says he's on the way with the Ghetto-way bus, its just fantastic & fun. I love the bus hahaha. The only thing wrong with transit is that it was the only map to play for a long time, especially if you couldn't afford the other maps. Transit is great and deserves a remake.
I'd prefer them to reimagine it. Add new features and places, make some changes. Most importantly, change the wonder weapon to be an actual wonder weapon.

I remember, back during my freshman year of high school, I was getting bullied by this dude who weighed like 200 pounds more than me (I was like 115 at the time). It was the last period of the day, and he kept punching me in the shoulder because he sat right next to me. I cussed him out, everyone in the room literally froze and just stared. I was and am still known for being very quiet and socially awkward due to my anxiety, so everyone was shocked. I walked to my place with my friend that day, not saying a word. He knew I was beyond pissed, so we didnt talk. Just chilled without saying a word. We eventually started playing splitscreen on Tranzit. We played with no communication. We got to the power station area. The avogadro was annoying us, and next thing we know, the avogadro just decides to randomly slide down into the huge pit near tombstone. I looked straight down, and we saw him flashing away down there. My friend and I just looked at each other, and busted out laughing. Good times. I love Tranzit.

@@sludgerat444 He is talking about the conspiracy theories about tranzit back then. Back then, many people thought Tranzit was made badly on purpose, to hide something. So people searched for clues and thought there would be a hidden way somewhere (just before farm / fields and after the tunnel before diner were hotspots) where people thought its gonna send them to another map / better area. The bunker in nuketown was believed to be connected to the tranzit easteregg. Of course, there never was anything. Cant believe its been 7 years.
Tranzit scared me a lot for no reason, all the other cod zombies were good but BO2 zombies in general gave me this eerie scared feeling when i played it at night with my cousins.
avogadro was scary, and the animation of denizens grabbing your face is terrifying for me as a kid, the only thing closest to that feeling i can think of is like looking at uncanny images of bugs or distorted analog horror faces (when they were still new)
They should remake Tranzit and fix the things people hated about it. Lava, Denizens, Jet Gun, inconsistent teleports, inconsistent bus, inconvenient buildables, fog, and reboot the Avogadro. Fix all of that and bring the mark 2 back as well and I would bet money that it’ll make to 10s in peoples favorite maps list
I remember when I was in school, height of Call of Duty’s run. Me and my friend were sat on a bus chatting about CoD Zombies, and we came up with an amazing idea where the map would feature a bus that you have to hold it off from the hordes of zombies. We had so many fun ideas about how it would work... And then like 2 years later, transit came out and me and my friend recalled the conversation and felt like we were geniuses. Turns out if two 14-15 years olds have the same idea as a triple A company...that’s bad.
I don't watch WWE anymore but, when I was in 5th grade (2008), I used to jump around on my bed pretending I was a Pro Wrestler. This was fun! I used to pretend I was the General Manager for either Raw or Smackdown, controlling the story lines. I even found it more entertaining than the story lines actually going on in WWE at that time 2008-09. One of my story lines was a bunch of New Comers teaming up making one huge Unstoppable Group beating the shit out of Cena, HHH, Randy Orton, Edge, Batista, Kane, Big Show, Rey Mysterio, HBK, - all the Main guys and future legends at the time. In the story line they just practically took over the WWE. I don't remember the rest, I was only 12 🤣😂. But then 3 or 4 years later.. This team called the Nexus is created and it's a bunch of New guys beating up the main superstars and taking over the WWE. I stopped watching WWE by then, I moved on to UFC/MMA (Hardcore fan 👊🏽). I always from time to time checked on what's happening in WWE, and that's when I saw that Nexus stuff. I was like 😲😲🤔🤔... WHOA But now thinking back, if a 12 year old kid can come up with a future WWE storyline, something years in the future, just using my imagination. Then for the professional WWE storyline writers, that's pretty sad. Now granted, Kids tend to use their Imagination more than adults do. But still, like dude...

Swiftblade if you wanted challenge you would play five. everything is cramped up and small and half the map is just not viable to camp OR train. transit is just frustrating, not difficult. it's laughably easy to survive in transit in either bus depot or town.
Tranzit is one of my favorite maps, but I will admit: Taking out/limiting the denizen, fixing PAP system, and reworking the wonder weapon would greatly benefit the map. It’s also not a huge deal, but to make it so the bus is more safe (less entry points for zombies) would also be great.
What's wrong with the PAP system? Oh and is wittle e-sports pwo to bwad to get past denizens? That's like saying, take out the dragon in gorod krovi or taking out the robots in orgins.
@@Thetasteoforange I honestly like the denizens. Idk what I was talking about with that in my original comment. Looking at my original comment, the bus is the only thing I’d say I still agree with. Also, I forgot what the PAP system is so idk what’s wrong with it.
Transit was one of the only maps me and my friends played, it was a journey every time getting to pack a punch, we’d hold out in that little cabin or on top of the bus for as long as we could, shut the doors on each other so they have to run through the fog and get face fucked by denizens, ah good times.

During the night, fog reappears, anf denizens come out. 2. The bus has a storage rack. The storage rack holds 2 buildables at first, but can be upgraded to hold 4. It can also hold 4 parts for buildables, and can be upgraded to 8. 3. Every bus stop has a way to call the bus. Like a button that costs 0 points to use. The first time per round, at least. Also ancient evil and ix are the only good maps on bo4 and people hate on them because their in the chaos story but that doesn’t mean shit there still good maps that provide a lot of replay ability
You, uh... You can just spin the box and wait a few minutes until the bus comes back, by which point it's quite likely you've got two pretty decent weapons early on, and the box would have moved to the next spot... Amazing map, I used to love it, especially multiplayer. Didn't realise it was hated :(
I also loved this map and still love it. I didn't realize my 2 personal favourite features on the map - denizens and the fog - were also the most hated. the bus won't leave right away if no one is in the bus. you can make the bus leave almost right away if someone stays on the bus but if not, the bus takes a while to leave. You also don't need the bus. Once you get Jug, going through the fog is easy and there's even a shortcut to The Town so if you are at the Diner you can go right to The Town
At the beginning of the video when the guy was in town and he said “go back to the bus stop to get the turbine” that was a exaggeration, almost everybody gets the turbine when they spawn

Imagine the Panzer in Town chasing you around or The Dragon in Alcatraz. The possibilities are endless!
How to make Tranzit good Remove the slow affect on lava Get rid of Denizens Lessen fog Put guns in town Put another (better) gun on the bus Make the bus stay for a defined amount of time Make pack a punch less annoying (maybe open permanently or just make the turbine and the power spot all in town) Make the jet gun usable Then you might have a fairly decent map

Give players the ability to send the bus off anytime they want
Instead of the Jet Gun breaking, just give it a cool down
And you have one of the best zombies maps.
Nah pack a punch is still a pain in the ass to setup, plus lack of wall buys
Couple extra ideas:
Instead of the turbine thing for pack a punch just have fuse boxes along the route that have to be switched on
Call boxes for the bus that activate when power is on, and the ability to tip the driver to make him go faster or leave immediately
Have fog only until power is on except in corn fields, but instead of denizens just have dogs spawn in the fog
Extra buyable areas
An extra area along the train tracks(you can see the silhouettes of an area in the map)
Umm dumb ass u can’t remove the fog because the engine can’t handle it, it will crash without the fog

They should remake Tranzit and fix the things people hated about it. Lava, Denizens, Jet Gun, inconsistent teleports, inconsistent bus, inconvenient buildables, fog, and reboot the Avogadro. Fix all of that and bring the mark 2 back as well and I would bet money that it’ll make to 10s in peoples favorite maps list
i remember being super hyped after seeing leaked gameplay footage a couple of weeks before the game released. good times.
@@jacobwhelan45 wow u and people like you are losers. U want them to play the game for u too??
Opened UA-cam only to see Tim has just uploaded a new vid. After reading the title, I'm interested to see how this plays out.
Edit: good vid Tim
I remember when I was in school, height of Call of Duty’s run.
Me and my friend were sat on a bus chatting about CoD Zombies, and we came up with an amazing idea where the map would feature a bus that you have to hold it off from the hordes of zombies.
We had so many fun ideas about how it would work...
And then like 2 years later, transit came out and me and my friend recalled the conversation and felt like we were geniuses.
Turns out if two 14-15 years olds have the same idea as a triple A company...that’s bad.
100 Duck Sized Horses same happened with me and my friend with Revelations, we said imagine if all the maps clashed together for a big fight
WHOA
But now thinking back, if a 12 year old kid can come up with a future WWE storyline, something years in the future, just using my imagination. Then for the professional WWE storyline writers, that's pretty sad. Now granted, Kids tend to use their Imagination more than adults do. But still, like dude...
I didn't realize it was the most hated map until I started watching more zombies content recently. I always liked it. Lol I remember thinking it was so cool when I first got this game in high school. I was so blown away with how big it was.
Tranzit is the map where men were made.
The weak cry about it and give up, the strong embrace it and win!

When me, my friend and my brother played splitscreen tranzit we never knew how to get to PAP ://///
Its make the tranzit just a copy of natch ....
It’d be nice to have a little breathing room while on it, not have every single window and I believe even top of bus be an entry point.

Advanced Warfare: J U M P
@@finchh1688 how is tranzit bad it's a sick map
I love this map. It has flaws, but i feel like it is a good map. That said, there are a couple of changes i would make.
1 Introduce a day/night cycle (this is not my original idea, the original idea is by Darthmeesa2825, I think) During the day, Fog disappears, and denizens don't come out.
Theres more, but i cant think of any right now
You can tell this map was suppose to be great. Here’s hoping bo4 brings this idea to life.
Sadly, zombies chronicles 2 probably won’t happen in bo4. With the bo5 stuff happening
I’m kinda glad tho, I’m not a fan of bo4 zombies
Transzit is literally better than all the bo4 maps
@@fujikoalfonso7448 BOTD sucks just because of the mechanical difference between how the core game works in bo2 and bo4, and some of the changes they made are aids. Classifieds def the best launch map. IX is actually pretty fun too, probably cuz it doesn't feel masdsive so you don't have to teleport everywhere. I've barely played DLC 2 but it seems at least okay. DLC 1 is fun but repetitive.
Daniel Burriss ew I hate bo4
Bo4 is good but the thing is that most players are oh from like bo1. So most people hate how different it is but I’m relitivly new to the game, I was like 8 when I first played zombies and it was a blast with my brother. I go into the game on bo2 but did really get into its a lot until bo3 so bo4 is just different but I don’t really mind the fact that the game is different bc it’s still good and adds a lot of customization to the game which is always good. I understand why people hate it but I’m really hopeing zombies chronicles comes out on bo4 because it will be a remaster but it will be different due to the perk system and stuff like that.
Didn't realise it was hated :(
Shatt Mallish L
I also loved this map and still love it. I didn't realize my 2 personal favourite features on the map - denizens and the fog - were also the most hated. I loved them because it was both unique and made sure people don't just run around freely, it made people actually use the bus, the main feature of the map, and made players consider the risk if denizens while in the fog.
@@NorsGold same here :D sometimes I would purposefully skip the bus in the beginning to walk through the fog, idk why I liked it but it was just fun. Tranzit is lowkey my favorite map
@@NorsGold but the fact that they made you use it proves that it was poorly designed. Players would have used the features of they were worth using however the bus is slower and more dangerous then just running from town to town assuming there was lava which kills you
That’s what I do, I go to the cafe place and stay there until the bus comes back, then I go to farm and camp in the bus then power station. Farm is like a waste of space tho.
My cousins came to my house and we played tranzit IT WAS A BLAST it was funny when thebus left my cousin an he died we laughed hard
XxNevasky34 xX good spell
I’ve done that exact thing
delete everything before "when the bus left" and youve got something really dark
GDrako Turnover nice
the bus won't leave right away if no one is in the bus. you can make the bus leave almost right away if someone stays on the bus but if not, the bus takes a while to leave.
No he was explaining the pack a punch process where if a zombie breaks it while your going to town you need to go back to the bus depot and get another one
@@brewings it’s also a big if and if you just communicate properly with a teammate they can watch the turbine for you so everyone can pap safely
@@rgutierrez595 yes but not everyone plays with other players and the way he explained it was that he was solo
@@brewings and not everyone has friends to play with, randoms are typically useless when it comes to coordination.

I think Tranzit is one of the most atmospheric map. Its features maybe annoying but it is just lore-friendly. And the scariest zombie map for me
You never played Verrückt then
@@Kamal_AL-Hinai Oh I did. But It has different kind of horror than Tranzit. The Asylum is scary but there is still green grass and sunshine outside of these walls so there is still hope. Tranzit is crushing your hope. Whole world is in chaos, there is no safeplace even if zombies dont kill you, other humans may and it seems like humanity nor earth wont recover from these disasters. Briefly Verrückt is a hell that you can escape but Tranzit isnt.
I'm gonna say it
I'd rather play transit than any bo4.idk why I just don't feel like bo4 zombies is zombies
Yasin Kilic Fr tho bo4 is ass
Bo4 zombies seem more like creatures than actual zombies. I miss the good ol' bo1-2 days
Splash_SnD so blood of the dead and Classified don’t exist?
Carl Wheezer I didn’t buy those maps yet but imma buy me dlc 3 Bc of Tranzit and Nuk3town zombies but overall I find bo4 zombies shitty
Carl Wheezer they are kinda bad maps just cause nostalgia its like the fortnite problem oh this thing is old and nostalgic I love it
I wanna see a Transit Remake in Cold War. Imagine pulling out a revelations type map where maps like IX, Town (but with normal pack), Der Isendrache (I butchered that), and others like Mob, Origins (to replace the corn field), Nacht (returns in it's Cold War form). Make it big like original transit but try to keep the annoying things out like Getting Pack, Denizens, Fog, etc. I'd like it to contain enemies like the Panzer, Samantha, The Dragon, etc but place them in random places. Imagine the Panzer in Town chasing you around or The Dragon in Alcatraz. The possibilities are endless!
I miss transit
How to make Tranzit good
Remove the slow affect on lava
Get rid of Denizens
Lessen fog
Put guns in town
Put another (better) gun on the bus
Make the bus stay for a defined amount of time
Make pack a punch less annoying (maybe open permanently or just make the turbine and the power spot all in town)
Make the jet gun usable
Then you might have a fairly decent map
Makeing the jet gun unbrrakable would be too op cause that thing does infnate damage and you could just sit in a corner and hold the shoot button
Remember it slows down zombies to
Also make it so you c an carry many jet gun parts at a time and both the shield and turbine at once.
Get rid of nacht as well because nacht is In Germany and tranzit is in America and that just doesn’t add up.
And you know how in revelations each map is an island and at the end of the moon ee the earth is in pieces if they did that it’d be cool.
The worst moment is seeing your friends leave on the bus. You’re just there with loads of zombies coming at you. You know if you get downed no one will get the chance to revive you 😔
I’m not gonna lie , Tranzit was one of my favorites. I don’t know why, but it was
Same
Because it was fun as shit. The bus is totally unnecessary, as soon as you realize that you can run the fog sections this map is fun as hell. We used to get setup and camp the bank stairs. Headshots for days.
Pro tip when you hear the denizens screech turn around aim and it should lock onto the denizens, then shoot them and carry on your way, I know from experience since this is one of my favorite maps in bo2
Also jet gun parts are
1: Spawn
2: Power center
3: Nacht
These are from what I remember although it’s been some time
Tranzit, Mob of The Dead, and Origins were my top 3 favorite zombie maps in bo2
