Here's a weird fact. If you put Frenzy Plant on your Venusaur, then sent it to RS or Colosseum the move would become "Solid Plant" Blast Burn and Hydro Cannon doesn't have changes.

How did a mistranslation (or a more accurate translation I guess) like this even happen? Didn't they just copy-paste all move names?
@robertlupa8273 maybe the moves have a "hidden ID number" associated to them, so translation could be based on what game is interpreting it

The “front wheel wheelie” is called a stoppie! (or nose manual) More skillful to do than a regular wheelie because you need to balance while also not being able to give yourself more momentum.

There's also another at 32:45 Clair has 3 DRAGONairs in the 2nd Gen games on top of the Kingdra, and in the remakes one of the 3 gets replaced by Gyarados but she does still very much have more Dragons than just Kingdra
The Internet is making freely available the works of all authors that have been deceased for more than 70 years + many more recent works for free or for cheap. And yet here I am, listening to a hundredth video pokemon fun facts that I already know and not regretting it a single bit.
Don't feel like you need to be learning "important" stuff all the time. That's great you're interested in learning and take it upon yourself to learn more, I'm the exact same way. But don't feel bad to take a break and just watch something fun and interesting

I figured out the grass cutting thing myself when i was originally playing these. I believe i was wandering aimlessly and leveling up/ catching pokemon. It might have been my randomly checking stats or abilities. It was surprising when i saw the option to use cut even when I wasnt near a tree or in battle.
I felt so pro that i cut a trail through the woods so i could move around and not come under attack.
Probably took forever and was a dumb waste of time but as a tween, i was just proud of myself for finding something i could show my friend 😂
Another word for 1:40 is a "Stoppie" you do it when hitting the front brakes and leaning forward lol

This is false as Inverse Battles flip the type chart so that the type match-ups are reversed so both Dragon and Normal-type Pokémon can be 4x Super Effective.

In Diamond & Pearl, there is a woman who will sell you fertilizer. In BDSP, she sells berries, but in the first couple updates, she said the same thing as when she was selling fertilizer, implying that the berries were made of Pokemon dung.

Yeah what a lot of people don't realize is that the entire game was just 2MB and it had to contain a lot of stuff
1:47 that's actually an "endo stop" and its essentially braking so hard, the bike tilts forward. It was likely meant to be shown when braking using the mach bike but it was never implemented
I have a theory that learnsets are specific to a trainer and their connection to their pokemon, which explains why Lance has moves his pokemon shouldn't but also why moves differ from game to game

when i was a kid, i believed the 'mew under the truck' rumor. So i tried it, having my brother trade me over a pokemon with cut, so i could skip getting the HM, and when i finally reached the truck, thinking i would get a mew... i was sooooo disappointed when absolutely nothing happened...

In gen 2 there's a Pokemaniac named Issac in the underground path in goldenrod city. Before he battles you he claims his Pokemon just received a haircut. This isn't true due to his Pokemon being a Lickintung.
one note a out the guy who gives you the togepi egg in FR LG, you need to have maxed out friendship with the first pokémon in your party (i i think a free space in your party for the egg too)

I have had 3 of the gamecube to GBA cables since they were released.....
The red and blue evolution stone glitch was something I actually discovered completely naturally last year when I happened to have an Eevee and a Growlithe on my team during a Blue playthrough and was switching between them in battle. Actually took me a while to find on Google what was causing it.
I am doing an ORAS run in spanish, and my gosh, it's hilarious. The Spanish is lost, and it doesn't know whether it wants to be Castillian or Latin American Spanish. Like I said, it's hilarious, and I've been having way more fun playing it than what I had in a while. I am planning on doing all games in spanish to see if they are all that messed up. Or if it's just Oras

If you wanted to, you could start a Sword or Shield game with all 3 Kanto starters with Gigantimax. If you do the IoA and complete the first task you can get Bulbasaur or Squirtle, then Leon gifts you a CHarmander in his room once you beat him. So you play Sword, get Bulbasaur and beat the game for Charmander, then play Shield for the Squirtle. Take all 3, put them into home, then restart one and put the 3 into a new game, there you go!

I knew most of these since I've played all of these games. Edit: I also had all the early day cables because I didn't have any friends who played Pokémon so I had to get both copies of every game just so I could complete the Pokedex.

Here’s a cool fact I have never heard anyone mention: When Pokemon Home first came out, I deposited all my pokemon (accidentally including the AZ’s Floette that I originally hacked into my pokemon X).
You’re not supposed to be able to deposit illegal pokemon tho so this was a major oversight.
The Pokemon Company eventually caught the oversight and issued Pokemon Home bans on thousands of users. Pokemon suddenly became FLOODED with so many complaints that they lifted the ban, deleted all illegal Pokemon in every account and gave players who had an AZ’s Floette 1 “bad egg”. You can’t move the egg out of Home and you can’t release it either. This is the only way I know of to get a bad egg in Pokemon Home. They really didn’t want players to have AZ’s Floette if you couldn’t tell.
If memory serves, Pokemon Home now checks for illegal pokemon BEFORE you deposit them, they’ll delete hacked pokemon, and modding Pokemon Home just bans you entirely so I don’t believe you can get a bad egg anymore.
A lot of people didn’t want a bad egg too and started new pokemon home accounts to get rid of them. Ironically, this means they’re actually quite rare and could be sought after one day.

49:45 I remember hacking in a spiritomb and sableye with wonder guard (I think they had stupid moves like seed bomb as well) and I took it into that battle facility in platinum where you would choose a type and have a 1v1 which escelated in difficulty the more you chose that type. I recall fighting the fire type and ironically I came across a houndoom that had fire fang. Now it also had odor sleuth so at the time I just thought that was how it hit me. Made me lose interest in those two hacked pokemon because I thought they had a weakness I couldn't avoid lol.
