Bo, thanks again for having me on the channel! I had fun with this one. If anyone has questions drop them below. 😀🤘
Technooooo :)
And this setup cost how much?
Loved this thank you - what I’d love to see is another episode and see what you can do with that bad boy setup behind you. 😁
Cool feature - v interesting!
Thanks for sharing! Loved it!
She’s dope 🤟
She is, and she did an awesome presentation of The Polyend Tracker
I don't know a thing about techno and I'm not really into techno, but this was a great video and the explanations were comprehensible. Thank you to both of you.
Right? Same here. I’m so inspired now 🤖🔥
I love the massive, gritty sound you got out of these compact setups!
The bit about call-and-response was gold. Gotta play with that.
Wow Trovarsi, never heard of you, but your music is amazing!
Excellent choice of guest, Trovarsi is great
Nice one Trovarsi! Gogogo!!!
Impressive! I need to check more of Trovarsi!
A very talented modular goddess👽

Thank you, Bo. Great guide. Trovarsi know what to do and how to
Great little setup and a huge sound! Good stuff!
Nice little setup. Jam on!!
Great deep dive into creative performance technique - and great music!
Thanks as usual for the great content Bo!
Love the sounds that you create, amaaaaazing....!!!!!
Thanks!🙌🏼
The jam is 20% hardware and 80% skills.
Describing my love life. 😁
Yay! Trovarsi is awesome!
I love TECHNO - and wow - Trovarsi you're great - nice performance!
Great show amazing talent . Thank you so much for sharing 😃
Love techno and this was inspiring to watch. Some amazing hear that I don't even know what it is too. Quadrantid swarm is in my list too. Great stuff!
The high priestess of hardware!
Awesome video!! Trovarsi, I really love your style and easy way of explaining your setup, you are a very talented teacher as well as a musician👏🏼 Hats off to Bo for making this format so we can meet such interesting creators, loving the Summer of Synths!🤟🏻
Thanks for watching and for your support!
Nice to see you featured here, Trovarsi! Awesome little setup! And that Sirin ❤️ I need to learn how not to overcomplicate things tho!
Hey Ihor! Thanks! I love your videos too. You're always doing some cool things with small setups.
This is an amazing overview. It breaks down some great tracks with a solid variety of setups (BlueBox and polyend tracker vs digitakt and sirin in a non-bass context??). Thank you for this video!
Amazing explanation thank You.
Really nice little system. I’m looking at building a little techno system myself so this was super helpful.
I have never seen a system that small and well-designed. I don’t know much about modular, but they were always so huge and expansive in my mind.
@@CHONKERBOT Its nice to start small and build it up if or when you are ready. :)
Looking forward to more quality content, especially the MPC One. I have some rare time to myself and getting to know it better. Interested in your take on it. Have a healthy 2022 squire!
Super awesome thanks for arranging this crossovers, just discovered @Trovarsi. Awesome work, you earned a sub!
Thanks for the sub!! 🙌🏼
@@Trovarsi you are welcome! such a great discovery, been listening to your liveset non stop all day!
Moog should have kept Sirin on the roster so the prices would stay at a reasonable level. It's ridiculous for what they're going for now!
I agree but you can just get a minotaur and it's pretty close.
Doesn't go all that high though right? (Pitch)
@@OttosTheName It's doubled where I am. (er I thought you meant price! haha) yeah I think the range is scaled down to the lower end.
moog seems not want to sell stuff. Instead they seem to want early adopters get rich on the used market ;-)
I have given up on them. But I will be always thankful to moog for creating the Crave and the Behringer Model D. Wouldn't have been possible without their friendly cooperation and the dedication not to sell those things themselves. lol
Yeah as a consumer Moogs business model can be a little annoying, but they're not the only company that works like that. They want to build stuff by hand just like boutique pedal companies and they can't keep every model in production indefinitely. Another downside of how they run their company is sometimes you have to wait two years before a synth gets the most basic feature (envelope retrigger on the grandmother for instance) bc software development is labor intensive.
Hope the weather gets better for you Bo
So dope! Danceable tunes & sage advice. (: Thx!
Trovarsi is awesome!
So dope to have Trovarsi on! Excellent performance and video!🖤🚀💥🤘🏼
Thank you!!
Amazing performance
DOOOOOPE!!!!
I don't even do techno but that was fun.
Good job in asking Trovarsi (sp) to this video. She did an amazing job doing a demo
of what the Polyend Tracker is capable of (the thing is a beast of a unit, while it is no Akai it punches *well above* it’s weight) kudos.
Very good setup i like the tracker.
Go Trovarsi!!!
So dope ❤️
Thanks for the great show! It makes me think about starting with modular. Is this setup in modulargrid?
Hey! Yes it is! I also have a few other setups you can check out as well. I'm listed as Trovarsi on Modulargrid. :)
@@Trovarsi Thanks! I found it. Very nice.
This is an amazing tutorial
Nice jam!
Amazing!!!!
that was awesome
Yes!
That per4former is great
Great what, how and why!
Really neat video!
Though teckno is not my prefered genre of electronic music, she seems to bring in enough modulation to the sound, so that my fast growing boredom with many teckno tracks has really been kept in the cage 😁.
And the sympathic and unpretentious presentation is really worth a bobeats selection
So thanxs bo for the selection
And even more thanxs for the content and music to Trovarsi
Thank you! I appreciate that. I really enjoyed being a part of the Summer of Synths! :)
Great vid! Just getting into modular so my bad if this question seems dumb but : Doesn't the Intellijel 62HP case come with a MIDI to CV converter? Next to the MIDI USB port?
I'm looking into cases and the Nifty Case seems like a good option but I'd prefer to record in stereo which doesn't seem possible with the Nifty Case.
Thanks!
Yeaaaah trovarsiiiiii!!
Yea Trovarsi!!
Bleepy bloppity, nice video and have a nice vacation.
Thanks
The Filtare SEMIII is hard to find in Europe. What other filter module will you recommend to replace it in this particular setup ?
Cool 😎
Yassssssss!! 💙💙
🖤🙌🏼
Nice video! Fun jam and useful tips.
People were hating on it when it was first announced but the Moog Sirin is special. Such a nice sound and character. I'm glad I got mine when they first became available at Sweetwater. Should have got another considering the prices now! Would sound lovely polychained.
I'm so happy I got mine when I did as well. I don't think I'll ever sell it!
Yo I love her cable hanger thing. Can someone link me to it?
🔥🔥🔥
great video
Are there any canned out of the box products similar to this ready to play?
I had a bee in my hair once, then I did some techno
Synths at the beach. Wow.
One day ill be on this level :,)
Trovarsi! shouts to the homie!
This👏Is👏My👏Vibe
Can anyone explain why everyone uses the intelligel case up side down?
Trovarsi - I don’t know if you’ll see this. I would like to ask an opinion. Is there an advantage to using the Moog Syrin, Ericasynths Bassline, or The Gotharmans SpazeDrum, in techno if you are just going to take all that Analog audio and make it digital anyway (I feed all those into a 1010BlueBox)?
I’d be interested in any other opinions on this.
Hi! Sure! I think if you're sampling it, it comes down to the types of sounds you like. The Bassline def has that darker/dirty sound that you hear in Techno and I would reach for that for basslines before the Sirin. I haven't had an opportunity to try the SpazeDrum. I need to check that out. Overall, I think it just depends on what elements you're trying to get to decide which one to use. One main thing to remember with the Bassline (I assume you're talking about the DB-01?). If so, you can save patterns so that's nice to be able to recall all your sequences!
No real advantage. There may be certain sounds/character that analog may have over digital or VA, but the gap is closer now.
All of the analog audio will become digital eventually, unless you plan on passing out cassettes only.. so you shouldn't worry about that. Do you like the sound of something? Do you want it in your music? Then record it or sequence it. If it sounds good it is good.
Personnally, hardware has one big advantage: its more fun to twiddle and experiment with than using a mouse with a vst.
@@Trovarsi Wow, thanks for the response. I’m heading over to subscribe. If the rest of your educational stuff matches the quality you put up here (I don’t know I’ve never seen it) I may actually learn something. I’m an old guy, but it turns out it’s okay that I’m making techno…. ;)
WHOA your modular rig…. My gawd, it’s full of stars….
@@cubis Thanks for the candor, I didn’t suspect there were any magical pixies involved, but I appreciate the response. I’ve done electronics building radios from components so I understand the technical side. I wanted to make sure that choices like these, for all intents and purposes are artistic more than technical. It seems like that’s the case.
Any teckno sound will end up digital sooner or later ( at latest at the pa controller stage ). So you take instruments with sound you like and then you take care that your sound doesn't hit the limits of digital conversion ( think of compressor and other dynamic tools ). Then your sound will be as distorted or analog as you want.
My experience though is less being a good musician but more having run a teckno club for 20 years as the sound technician
Ooops, cupis has said it already
So I''ll add, for me personally it's much more about hands on feeling then perfect sound. Some gear attracts your creativity, some doesn't. For the moment for example, i have a lot of fun with a novation circuit and some pocket operators. Not the best known gear for sound quality. But in the end a PO14 base line is able rock the floor easily and the circuit with some love can sound pretty awesome.
And the best Thing, since i turned dawless, i stopped tweaking computers and startet jaming again
Honestly, I've been DJing my whole life, ands loooove all this stuff, but where to start this synth/module way of making music?
What different units are you using in setup 2? What kind of box is it will all the knobs, setup 2.
I think you are referring to the setup with the Bitbox Micro. If so, it's the Midi fighter twister (white with all the knobs) and the O-Ctrl along with the palette of modules. I also, have all these cases built on my modular grid. You'll be able to see the exact layouts as well. :)
@@Trovarsi Thank you so very much
Realest euro case ever.
Ωραία κοπελιά....Πολυ καλή!!
I Just would love to see the setup behind the synths for once. What mixer is being used, what interface is being used. Where do the cables go to? It al makes it seem so simple. Show us the real effort.
Yeah I'm Jealous
Lots of cool ideas here. How did you get the MIDI Fighter to talk to the Bitbox Micro?
I imagine it's just a plug and assign cc's thing....
@@illaarocc9469 MIDI Fighters are pretty easy for doing that, but they are MIDI over USB only, at least the all the ones I've seen. Would love it if they came out with one that also has a MIDI port.
Hey! I used a midi host - MIDI USB to DIN converter to connect the midi fighter to the bitbox micro.
And today's special guest is... the bee in Bo's bonnet?
How about two digitakts?
Don't sleep on the Behringer Neutron as a go to techno boi.
All you need is an iPAD and some LaunchControl XL :)
Or a cowbell!
@@CHONKERBOT there can never be enough cowbell
Oh that's fun too!
@@CHONKERBOT Oh yes! 🙌🏼

I wish I understood all this 🥺 I don't even know where to begin 😭
Start with one thing (piece of gear) at a time and build from there.
The number of likes was at 808. I'm sorry, everyone.... But I changed it to 809 -_-
