I'm extremely excited for the upcoming video that Nintendo will be releasing about the game in the next couple of days! Until then, what are your hopes, fears and predictions for the game?
I have only one prediction, and it's the exact same one that you said. More story beats in my silly bing bing wahoo game, but I don't want it to turn into the departed. That's for later.
The Koopalings are the original head-minions for Bowser, and deserve to reappear for this game, and get good fights. Here me out… A Spaceship/train fight for Larry A strength contest fight for Morton A ballerina fight for Wendy A science/ potions fight for Iggy A circus fight for Lemmy A hard rock fight for Roy A piano fight for Ludwig Any of those could be altered, just as long as they match the theme of the Koopaling. It would be a true tribute to them, and I think they deserve a chance to not appear, but SHINE in 2d Mario.
They do deserve another chance but it should wait until the next game. Every 2D Mario since Wii has had the Koopalings, them reappearing here will just be annoying.
@@mailpaper7754 that’s a fair take, I’ll admit. However, the next title will most certainly be a 3d one, and the Koopalings don’t s appear in 3d. I think this is a decent chance for them to make a redemption, but then again I see your point.
I appreciate you not dismissing all nsmb instantly because of theming. the amount of people who dismiss nsmb2 in particular saying it offered nothing new then saying they only played 1 or 2 worlds or didn't even play it in my experience is crazy it's one of the best designed 2 d games I've ever played the secrets and exploration which is emphasized because of the coin gathering theme is so well done but nobody gives it a chance to see what unique design it has
I think all of the NSMB games are great games, their only problem is that they don’t change enough for the majority of players, which is what caused so much NSMB hate over the years - NSMB2 was a bit more of a unique one because of it’s huge focus on coins and so on, but looking at NSMBU I can see why people were getting frustrated with the series, even if I love the games.
@@T1nk I understand that. I didn't grow up playing nintendo so u was my first nsmb game so I guess it's harder for me to get it but nsmb2 is extremely underrated is all I'm saying if only because people judge it before they even play it
If wonder is a good game, I would not mind sequels as long as they give us unique bosses each time. That was my biggest dread with the NEW series.. they kept reusing the koopalings
I think we’re likely to see a sequel, and so long as it keeps on doing new and different things I’d be really happy! While playing NSMBU deluxe, I had very little excitement when fighting the tower and castle bosses because of how much we’ve seen them, so hopefully they do something different this time or give the koopalings a break

@@mattdickson627 That is true. I also now also want the Koopalings to be in 3D, they'd work so well.

I want Donkey Kong to be a character.. only character from the Mario movie, to not have a recent game
DK would be pretty cool, I could definitely see Nintendo giving him a new game in the coming years though too!
