You have to love the way Guy Williams is sensitive to the talk of Zorro by his minor facial expressions, but if you didn't know he was Zorro, it would be mere faint interest. He's a good actor.
ty for uploading all of these episodes... i just recently randomly remembered watching this show when i was ~7-10 yrs old (1995-98) and because of those times i have always been a fan of zorro but i never really followed the whole story. getting to rewatch all of these episodes has been great and it is actually even better than i remembered. this has got to be the best version of the zorro story (print/tv/movies) that i have yet to see. also, it makes me appreciate the mask of zorro (1998 movie) quite a bit more as well, considering that the first time i saw the movie i didn't even really know the de la vega name lol. thanks again... i am sure i will watch every episode you have up!
Guy Williams was the best zorro I wasn't born when the series zorro came out. Am 58 yes old I did see it on the Disney channel when I was in my twenties he is very handsome
Zorro- If I find out you've gambled, it will be the last card you will ever play. Is that clear? Wow, Zorro knows how to lay down the law, and he's right. When you gamble, the odds always stack up against you.
4:22 Wow. Zorro's blade broke, never seen that happen before. Chased him all around the pueblo and over the rooftops, too. Really made Diego work for this one. Great sequence, lovely bit with the ladder. No stunt coordinator is listed in the credits. Was it the director with Buddy Van Horn's, and maybe Guy's, input? Almost 2min 48sec of sword play and kick-ass stunts. This really was a quality show in the '50s, and it still shows.
I felt kind of bad when the sword broke, it did so many things in this episode alone: cut cards, dealt cards, maneuvered people around the room, took on four guards at once, aimed a waterskin at a villain's head. Such a good sword, may it R.I.P. I love how nonchalant Diego was as he pulled the pistol on Garcia without looking up XD
When Zorro drops the playful attitude, you know he means business. Listen to the difference between him pulling the gun on Garcia at 0:44 and explaining the stakes to the card shark at 1:10. With Garcia his tone is light and joking--it's pretty obvious he's just saying that to make the sergeant back off and stop interfering with his plan. But with Orista, the card shark, he's being deadly serious. If Orista tries to cheat, he'll know, and he WILL shoot him. The same thing happens at 2:32; Zorro wants Orista out of town before he can cheat anyone else, and the sincerity of his threat comes across in his tone. Ditto for his warning to Ramon about gambling; Ramon's carelessness almost cost several rancheros, including Diego's father, their lands and livelihoods. And if there's one thing that's clear by this point in the show, it's that you don't endanger Diego's family or friends and get away with it.
Of all the episodes up to this point, this is the first one where Zorro gets hardcore. He starts threatening to off people. After all, his Rancho and livelihood are threatened by a douche move that is still held to be legal. This is absolutely gangster stuff.
😂6:12-6:27 I love Diego acting like he was nearly run over complaining and angering even more the Magistrado 🤣😂, he's loving pissing him off, me too 😏 ugh what an awful man.
@tylergage09 Technically, all the others are holding sabers, and Garcia is holding a sort of Hollywood version of a broad-bladed short sword. Good point, though.
@PaulosTheKing Oh-KAY! I was going to say! If it's 1,000 pesos when the series starts (see the Ignacio Torres posters in Episode 2), 5,000 pesos here, 2,000 pesos in Monterrey (during the Juaqin Castinara arc), and 1,500 during the two hour-long El Cuchillo episodes at the series' extreme other end, then interest in Zorro as a potential source of income (claimants for the bounty on his head) peaked early and lost interest fast! People must've just fallen in love with him too quick and too hard!
This is the first Zorro Episode I ever watched and I remember it like it was yesterday. Been a Zorro fan ever since.
"WATER?! Would you DROWN me, woman?!" Garcia is so funny! . . . and Diego acts so innocent! It's a great show!
Diego has to act innocent because he needs to be the opposite of Zorro. Otherwise, people will get suspicious.
Corporal Reyes bravely dueling Zorro! Priceless. After this he might say he almost got him ;)
Thanks for uploading!
A lot of fun in old Mexican California. A tremendous show. I would love to have the complete series.

Without a doubt, he set the mold as a swashbuckling, happy warrior who fought with a big smile.

Weird that it isn't available for streaming or blu-ray.
Day once again saved by Zorro - the progenitor of le parkour... ; P

That ladder move killed me! OMG!
This is one of my favorite episodes
'It used to be such a quiet town' - Diego. While Monastario was there. 😭😭😭 I miss Monastario.

Guy Willams is the best Zorro!!
7:33 not so stupid after all Garcia. And hey at least Clara is concerned for his health so there is that gained through all this.
Love you zorro
A proverb for Sergeant Garcia would be that if you drink wine it might give you a headache!
😂6:12-6:27 I love Diego acting like he was nearly run over complaining and angering even more the Magistrado 🤣😂, he's loving pissing him off, me too 😏 ugh what an awful man.
zorro is friken awsome! poor sargent garciaXD

Did Zorro's sword break when it hit the colum
So many hits in the head in this show i wonder if peopole rly go unconsious if the they get hit like that if have to try it on some1
Why did Zorro wanted Sergeant Garcia to stay away from wine?
B Strobach because too much wine makes you Fat
why is garcia the only one with a stupid saber in stead of a proper dueling sword?
What are these 8 minute videos about Zorro?
Long long time ago UA-cam videos could be only 10 minutes long unless you had special type of account
I gotta say. Zorro is really shitty in this episode. I've never thought I'd hate Zorro as a person until I saw this episode.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH YOU'RE SUCH A JOKE
