  • I made this cover for my own use. I made one previously, but ended up not using it because it had a flap over the top and I couldn't charge it while in the cover. So, for this one, I decided just to do a simple sleeve, but with a cut-out for the charge port.
I made this on the fly. Errors can be avoided if you make a template. I don't have time for that so it is what it is.

This is a really good video. Nice and simple with easy to follow instructions. Thank you for going through the whole process measuring everything out, it's a big help. Thank you for taking the time to make and share it. Got me fired up to get started on making my own ipad case.

I really loved your tutorial and would love to begin working with leather but I have no idea where to start. Do you have any pointers? Could you list all the items used?

Nice work, I would just be careful charging devices in a case like that. Could potentially create issues with overheating.

    Nice cover!
I've recently gotten into leatherworking and I've made tons of mistakes but your videos are inspiring :)
Can you tell me where you got the soap / tokonole?

Thanks! I got the glycerine saddle soap from Amazon and it came really quickly. I also ordered the tokonole from amazon, but it shipped from Asia and took over a month to get. However, I recently found out that www.rmleathersupply.com carries it stateside and you can get it a lot quicker there. They also carry the Seiwa brand glue I used in the video. Good luck!

Browse u tube for hints, tips and ideas see your imagination you’ll be over Hellen in a few months make a cover for everything slowly.old leTher jackets are plenty free and cheap enough to allow a good start, cost little to no money, and keep tool purchases to a minimum you do several things you’ll love the results, mature fairly quickly and create stuff you are really proud of!

One of the old pros used knock off tools to keep expenses down I use a star eadher t make stitching holes you can mak a real cool brand from coat hangers or thin craft wires Ryoull do well or have pricey trash more likely the former! Thrift shops have leather and purses for free cheap hardware plus wallet whirl has every thing at your disposal catches, buttons galore natural and untecyclable stuff I wish you well post some of your creations here
