Hoenn's leitmotiv is the duality between land and sea. Having only a Champion who uses Steel and Rock Pokémon (and thus, related to the land) would mean that "land is better than sea", when actually both are equal concepts. Wallace lives in a place (Sootopolis) where this duality is in balance and he's tasked with protecting the Cave of Origin, meaning that he's a strong trainer who is also fitting to be the opposite of Steven. In Emerald and post-ORAS, Wallace defeated Steven and the latter started to wander around the world so he can understand better the many situations people and Pokémon live. In the anime, Wallace defeated Steven and became the Champion. Then, Steven defeated Wallace and became again the Champion, so Wallace also wandered around the world focusing on Contests and mentoring his niece, Lisia.

going good so far!
I really prefer wallace over steven
Bro like it's so hard to defeat the champion even my level 80 wailord got easily clapped
I More like Wallace, Cynthia, alder, lance, blue And iris than diantha
When too much water wasn't enough water.
My team: Blaziken, Manectric, Gardevoir, Shiftry, Aggron and Gyarados
The first champion i ever battled, he caught me off guard first time
I beat him second try, but it was rough
I sweeped the Pokemon League with a Lv80 Rayquaza and some ethers. The Wallace fight is not easy but easier than the Steven fight in Ruby/Sapphire
To beat Wallace I had to caught rayquaza and then I lost anyway three times
@@Ritacuore3 Team?
i thought you couldn't catch rayquaza before beating wallace
@@sergiodelrioreyes7655 yes. It's level 70 when u catch it
@@Kepin151 it's one of the only things I don't like about that game
I hate his milotic. It almost killed my rayquaza many times and poisons anything that i sent out to heal up rayquaza.
If you choose treecko or cathching a electric type pokemon this champion its easy
He has ice type moves and wishcash and ludicolo.
XSerperiorX 2002 O had a Manectric and he was not easy to beat
If there is ferrothorn or kartana, it would be easy.
@@nellvincervantes3223 dude this is generation 3 not generation 7
Is anyone going to talk about his bootiful team :O
Btw I know it’s not the best but I like his team lol
Swampert
Gardevoir
Breloom
Crobat
Flygon
Whiscash
Milotic using Recover is a big mistake that Wallace won't use a full restore instead that let's have my Gardevoir use Thunderbolt
6:05 to 6:36 I WAS PUNISHED THE SAME WAY FOR UNDERESTIMATING HIS MILOTIC AND LOCKING MYSELF IN OUTRAGE 😭😭😭😭😭
I had my Minun sweep the floor with Charge and Thunderpunch. People gave Plusle and Minun a lot of flack back in the day but they are great electric types second to Manetctric. But Minun has the better SP.ATK and movesets at the time.
Mixeli! How did you get Rayquaza before Wallace
Just go up the Sky Pillar again
You need a Mach Bike but its pretty hard so go search it in UA-cam
I can confirm because i just got him
Just get close to Rayquaza and tap A and use the Master Ball
Mine was blaziken, rayquaza , Altaria , manektric, sharpedo , kadabra
Rayquaza and blaziken carried the whole 5 matches others I used punching bags so that I can gear up blaziken and ray
Best game ever created
I don't get why Game Freak replaced Steven in Ruby and Sapphire with Wallace. Wallace imo was fine as the 8th gym leader.
La primera pelea me revento pero la 2da vez lo revente xd
Ok so reading this comment before translation made me feel how did you predict the Gen 9 Champion so early😂😂😂
I shredded through this guys team with Rayquaza
