Elaine Weiner I was born in 49 too. A senior in 1967. A great year for music. I adore Gary and even tho he is losing some of the quality in his voice it's ok. I mean the man is going to turn 80 in October. He's still a great entertainer. And he's still a good looking man for his age.
Again, I absolutely do not understand WHY Gary Puckett was not a HUGE star throughout the 70's and 80's; he is TERRIFIC! He is certainly one of the best performers I have ever heard and seen.
Manager, handling, exposure....right people in the right jobs. He can rock but his voice was made for ballads and medium tempo. He RULES on music that requires a perfect pitch voice and large vocal range. I do love his version of Hurt So Good, That's My Story, He Don't Love You (like Gary's version better than Tony Orlando) I think Gary is happy and grateful that he can do what he loves to do. He is a humble fabulous entertainer and man.
@@kln58cub Whatever the reason, it certainly is a shame. However, I continue to be thankful to God for what we do have from Gary Puckett; what a blessing.
A great video from the 1983 tour....I was a 17 year old high school senior in 1967 when The Union Gap started making all those hits...I've rediscovered Gary Puckett...what a thrill to see him here, at 41 years old, even hotter and sexier than he was back then...he looks mighty fine out of that Civil War uniform...thanks so much for posting!

@@janicegarrett2866We certainly do not need everyone to be "cut from the same cloth." 🙃 Gary is just FINE the way he is. 🙂
@@kln58cub I CAN understand why Elvis had all Gary's records. (Real singers recognize those who have the talent.)
Was and still is one of my favorite

He is fine and cute
I did notice his voice became deeper as he grew older. Hmm. Singing style changed along with voice range.
