@ Joan Gentile - Oh yeah, not only you, but me & about 50,000 or more females from the ages of 12-100 had crushes on him also! I remember it was the late ‘60’s when I heard him the first time & fell “in love” with his voice & couldn’t wait to see what he looked like! I was hooked for life! I’ve never seen him perform in person but in later years many times on TV. He’s one of those who could park his boots at my door step and sing to me continuously! I don’t know if my heart could take it but I’d sure like to try it & see! ☺️
@@karengrimmett6441 Thank you for your reply, Karen. I appreciate it!! I totally agree with you. I have never seen Gary in person. But, I would love to! He's one of my favorite singers of all. He's 75 years old now. He still sings good! I listen to his music videos on UA-cam. I love them!! ❤
I love this song. I finally got to see & hear him live in Roanoke, VA on a tour with the Grass Roots and the Monkees. His voice was absolutely wonderful!
To sound this good at a live performance, can only be a one in a zillion talent. Even in his later years his voice and sound quality are beyond excellent. It's absolutely amazing. Really one of the very best of male singers. Powerful voice.
I have to disagree with you he sounds different than he did in the 60'S. See how he pronounces some words and you may agree. However he is the best in my book and he was the in the first group I listen to.
Ich hörte erst in Germany dies Lied, wusste nicht wer GP ist. Jetzt schon...Seit dem höre ich ich ihn öffter.Super Song super Stimme.Gruss from Hungary
Gary Puckett is one of the most powerful and passionate voices rock has ever had. He's a talented musician also. The dude has been performing steadily since the Happy Together Tour in the eighties. He has maintained a wonderful enthusiasm and energy for live performance, and his voice is as strong as ever....God bless him.
Saw him in Mn. at a college in 1969. I was a junior in high school. I fell in love with all things Gary Puckett and still listen to his music going on 60 years later! ❤❤ Saw him again in 98'. Super nice guy with a voice like none other... so happy he didn't go into psychology, 🤣... God bless you, Gary!❤🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for all the enchanting music. 😊🎉🎉🎉
Gary Puckett I still listen to all your songs this day I have gotten my 10-year-old granddaughter to listen to your songs she said they are awesome and you are a awesome singer
I dont know why but he has always sounded like he has an accent when he sings. It could just be the way words come out when he sings. No accent when he talks. Have loved him since the 60's. A remarkable singer that keeps romance alive.
A classic written by country music singer Jim Glaser. Check out his live version on UA-cam it's spectacular, this and the wonderful " If I Could Only Dance With You"
I don’t remember him having an accent, I love this song but it doesn’t sound the same as it did in the 60’s. Has anyone noticed this or am I crazy?! The pronunciation and accent??? Still a great song but different.
Different voices totally. Jim Glaser and his brothers were a very famous country trio, Tompall and the Glaser Brothers. All had wonderful strong voices and the harmony unbelievable. Gary's voice has always been super powerful and gorgeous. His range different than Jim's. We are use to hearing Gary more but Jim has an equally wonderful version just different. Both Gary and Jim have been able to retain their remarkable voices all these years.
Artists need to do that, they get bored of singing their songs like the original versions one time after another,,, they constantly find new ways to make an impressive performance
One of the most talented man ever, wonderful voice,he has not had the recognition he deserves. Wonderful entertainer. xxx
He is just terrific ! He still has an incredible voice ! And he looks great !!
I love Gary Puckett!! I have been listening to his music, since the 60's!! I had a big crush on him when I was fifteen years old. Lol. ❤

Different voices totally. Jim Glaser and his brothers were a very famous country trio, Tompall and the Glaser Brothers. All had wonderful strong voices and the harmony unbelievable.
